It has been said before the property is better than the pictures. It is a short walk to the beach if you want to leave the pool and a 20min walk to a selection of restaurants and a 1/2 walk to Avivos beach, where I recommend both beach and the Taverna. The owner is in the process of building a beach bar next to the house but will be invisible from the house but as there is only a rough track with a steep slope for access. Enjoy yourselves we had a fantastic time here.

Fantastic property, clean with good amenities. Great beach just moments away. Local shop easy walking distance well stocked with larger supermarkets 20 minutes away by car. Airport noise no issue even though it is close. Easy car ride to villa for those who are uncomfortable passengers on an island with small roads. Beds are comfortable and clean f you enjoy listening to the lap of the waves when off to bed this is the place for you. Host is always on hand to assist if required. Great October getaway

We stayed at Watermill Villa for four weeks and it was probably one of the best kept properties we have ever rented. The grounds were immaculate and the pool was (quietly) cleaned in the mornings before we even got up. The views were amazing and looked across the bay and down to the beach. It was lovely and peaceful, apart from the odd person trying to peer over the wall to get a view of the property. Although there is a mini-market and some restaurants (notably Esperides, Fois and I Milos) within 10-15 minute walking distance, it's advisable to rent a car and try some of the other great restaurants nearby (like Olive Lounge, Casa Grec and Avithos Preview). The owner of the villa (Kostas) was always on call if needed and checked on us (discreetly) from time to time. There was also a cleaner twice a week, which we probably didn't need that often being just the two of us, but she was very thorough and replaced towels and linen on every visit. The only (minor) things that we would say could add to the experience are; a better corkscrew and a knife sharpener (or sharper knives). Having said that, it was a fabulous villa and we had a very enjoyable and memorable holiday. We hope to be back.

What a fabulous Villa, in a fantastic location. We spent two weeks in August. It's 10 Min drive From The airport. Local mini market and few tavernas are about 15 min walk; however, I would recommend hiring a car ( and well in advance) The owner Kostas was rapid in responding to our queries before arrival; he met us at the villa, showed us around and even treated us to some local goodies. The cleaning lady came twice a week; she was outstanding! In the villa, you had everything you possibly needed, even beach towels. Rooms very generous size with wardrobes bigger than in my own house😂. There is private access to the beach. As mentioned before, you will need a car if you want to see a Beuty of Kefalonia. There is no public transport which can be used to access points of interest. You must visit Myrtos beach Skala Assos Fiskardo Driving is not easy at first as the roads are very winding. At the time we stayed ( August), there were loads of mosquitos and wasps. Funny enough, you won't see them indoors, just outdoors. I strongly recommend this villa. Das Haus, die Lage alles top. Costas und seine Familie sehr nett und besorgt, dass alles in Ordnung ist. Die Bäder sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sehr sauber. Der neue Pavillon ist sehr schön, dort noch ein großer Tisch und es ist perfekt. Wir kommen gerne wieder uns hat es allen super gefallen.

We had a wonderful week at Watermill House, it is the perfect spot, on the beach, with a gorgeous pool and amazing views. Kostas was so helpful and the villa has everything you need. We hope to go back next year.

Obergeschoss mit 2 Schlafzimmer und 2 Bädern. Alle Räume sind klimatisiert und mit Fliegengittern ausgestattet. Alles sauber und tip top. Zwei mal wöchentlich Reinigung, Bettwäsche und Handtuch Wechsel. Super Pool mit Liegen und Sonnenschirmen sowie Pool Handtücher. Direkter Zugang zum Sandstrand. Einkaufs sowie Restaurants in 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Der Vermieter ist immer erreichbar und sehr hilfsbereit. Alles in allem eine Oase der Ruhe und Genuss pur. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

We had a fantastic and very relaxing stay at this property. The house and grounds were extremely clean and tidy. We enjoyed the pool during the day and the wonderful decking area overlooking the sea in the evenings. No real need to cook as there were lots of restaurants both a walk and short drive away and it wasn’t very touristy when we were there. The short path to the beach meant we could enjoy swimming in the sea then return to the house to dry off. The host was very friendly and always available if required. All in all one of our most pleasurable and relaxing holidays in the last few years.

We had the most wonderful week at Watermill Villa. The location overlooking the beach is wonderful. The villa is spacious and had everything that we needed. The pool and pool area are great. Kostas was easy to contact when we had any questions. Thank you for a perfect week, we shall be back.

We don't usually go back to places but Watermill House might well be an exception. We had such a lovely relaxing time none of us wanted to leave! My only worry about posting this review is that it will mean that it becomes too popular 😁

It's impossible for us to find fault with this house. Perfect location, clean, spacious, airy and just a very happy place to be. And no wasps! When the rest of the island was buzzing with them! Everyone we met was so jolly and helpful even though it was end of season. We will be back!

We were two families sharing the house. It was plenty big enough with five good bedrooms and four bathrooms. The most amazing thing about the house is the location it is truly magical. There is lots to do on the island so a car is essential although the some of the roads and driving styles were challenging at times. In the immediate local there were some great restaurants and some distinctly average ones. Kostas,the owner of the house, was an extremely good host. He was never far away to help, but never intrusive. Only positives to take from our stay in Kefalonia we had a super chilled relaxing away from it all holiday. Don’t go if you want a busy vibrant night life do go to enjoy the amazing beach beach and relaxed lifestyle.

The house is on a small cliff overlooking the sea with a private path down to the beach. This in addition to its own swimming pool. Greatly helped by being well equipped with bathrooms galore, stair gates and high chair plus cot makes this a paradise for children as well as adults. Costas was a kind and accommodating host- a lovely gift of drink and fruit on arrival and kindly allowing us to leave late on the final day to accommodate airline timings. No negatives whatsoever; we will be privileged to return.

I stayed at the beautiful "Windmill" over the May bank holiday weekend with 5 friends. It was perfect in every way. The owner ,Kostas, was really helpful and on hand to answer any questions. The house is huge and easily sleeps 10-12 people, and with 4 bathrooms we were all showered and ready to go out at the same time! I checked out a lot of places before booking, and The Windmill was by far the most beautiful and was exceptional value for money. In fact, I don't think the photos do it justice, as it exceeded all our expectations. The grounds are beautifully kept and the house itself was bright and immaculate. The location is stunning, with spectacular views of the beach and sea. The property benefits from it's own path down to a lovely tavern, which is literally a couple of minutes walk away, and from the taverna it's just a further minute or two down to the gorgeous sandy beach. The swimming pool is kept really clean and there was plenty of space for the 10 sunloungers provided. We ate outside and there was plenty of room for us all at the table on the veranda and we used the table and benches at the side of the house when we cooked on the bbq. We hired a car but it's not essential as there's a local supermarket, bar and restaurants all within walking distance. The property is only 10 minutes drive from the airport so it's easy and cheap to get there. Saying that, we were not disturbed at all by any planes, so I guess their route in & out is from another direction. If you're looking to get away from it all and need to unwind, I can't think of a better place. It's peaceful and tranquil, in fact it's a little piece of paradise. Between us, we've travelled all over the world but we're hoping to book this little gem again soon as It really is going to take some beating. Book it! You really won't be disappointed!

We were there to kayak and it was a good base for this. Always able to return to a pool or beach swim after exertions. An unspoilt country where even the capital has no high rise buildings. Ancient stones reach back into history, still standing as built. We absolutely loved it all. I sent a message to Gerasimos. Thank you.

The owner was there to meet us. He was there very early every morning, before we were about,cleaning the pool and watering the garden. We hired cars and had a couple of days exploring.... Sami, Myrtos beach and Assos. The villa is really comfortable and easily has space for our party of eight. Very handy to have a beach bar halfway down from the villa to the lovely beach! My daughter and family are already considering a return next year. I would really recommend this for great family time.i think the children would have quite happily spent the whole week in the pool! I also found the team at HomeAway extremely helpful. Never booked anything like this outside the UK before and I am so pleased at how smooth it all was.

Spectacular views, spotlessly clean, ideal location right near the beach. Gorgeous pool, accommodation was first class both inside and out. We don't usually like to go back to the same place twice but would go back here in a heart beat and would strongly recommend Watermill.

What really sells this house apart from the lovely garden and swimming pool, is the beach location and view. You instantly relax listening to the sea lapping on the beach below. The photos accurately represent the house and easily accommodated our family of five. The home is well equipped for a holiday. The outside BBQ/kitchen area is ideal for cooking and al fresco eating. There are a number of restaurants and a mini market located a very short drive or a 15-20 minute walk away. You also have the convenience of the Watermill bar below the house, half way down the stairs to the beach. On our arrival, Gerasimos met us at the house to show us the facilities. He cleaned the pool daily. House cleaning was provided twice a week. We would definitely consider returning to Watermill House again.

Amazing Villa with excellent service! Far exceeded our expectations :) Ai Helis beach with lovely crystal clear waters is just 1' away!! Super markets, bars, restaurants are also in walking distance. You will need a car only if you want to explore the island. I strongly recommend to anybody the experience of Watermill House and Cefalonia. I already booked for 2nd time!
