Exciting space-decoration somewhat tired. The location is amazing- very restful, beautiful and quiet. The bottle of wine, cake and milk were much appreciated.

Pleasant location... nice walk to Walberswick. The Harbour Inn serves great food and has a great atmosphere. Great fresh fish and shell fish available next to the Inn. Southwold is a lovely little town with a nice pier and good shops, but no main supermarket... a LOT of bakeries!

Too many little faults in the Old Fisherman's Hut too justify the price. Had to find lightbulb for bedroom, loose and dangerous tile by bathroom, shower plughold constantly blocked (had to use plunger every shower), the iron provided didn't work, microwave was not really fit for purpose... these things should be checked and sorted before letting the property. The property is not well isulated, so it does get very cold, especially at night in the bedroom, but the electric heaters in the living area did a good job of keeping the room warm... the bed a little too close to the electric heater for my liking in the bedroom.

Perfect location for birders and walkers. Saw a seal just outside in the river.

The location of the property was amazing we spent two evenings sitting on the sofa with a glass of wine watching the most amazing sunsets. You had panoramic views of the river with the boats and surrounding countryside. It was warm and we didn’t need the log burner as there was adequate heating. Kitchen facilities were good well stocked.Bathroom and shower was fine.

The bedroom was interesting off from the main area accessible via a corridor which we called “The Fridge” we were cosy in it as there was a heater, and the bed was comfortable but very tight for room. We nick named it “The Shed with The Bed “ and actually got quite fond of it. Watch your head on the door going in its a bit low.

The bedroom was a little small and involved climbing over another person to get in and out of bed , [ not ideal for ancient guests and bathroom visits] !! Lacking info, generally.[ on the property and area]. We are familiar with Southwold and Walberswick , having visited many times, both self catering and also pubs and hotels.

Panoramic views from the property. Plenty of cutlery and crockery with pots and pans for self catering. Warm with good electric heaters.
