This hotel was situated right in the middle of Old Town, a perfect location to all the shops and restaurants. The rooms were very spacious, if a little dated but everything was very good. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful

Front desk check in lady is unprofessional and rude. Extremely shrewd. Everyone else in the hotel was pleasant except for the lady with glasses who checked us in. It was such a put off at the start of a vacation. Room was really small. Two beds were joined together to make a double bed. Bathroom shower and the glass enclosure was difficult to operate. The location however was perfect. But there are better hotels around the same location too so don’t recommend this one.

The staff was SO friendly and the location was perfect! A 30min walk to the train station and walking distance to all of the Salzburg notable locations. AC worked well. Bed and pillows were slightly uncomfortable. Overall, would recommend!

We contact the hotel through Expedia with a special request, they confirmed the request but when we arrived, they said it was not possible. The air conditioner did not work and although we reported it, they never repair it. But at least the night manager gave us a fan, of course it still very hot since it was summer time. One night the hotel did not have energy from 1 am to 3 am and the hotel does not have a generator. In addition, when you call reception, there was always an answer machine, never a person, at any time of the day. Water from the shower leaked into the toilet area, we had to use the bath robe or towels to contained water.

Beautiful modern hotel in an old building, right in old town b the river. Views while having the delicious breakfast couldn’t be topped. Quiet room too.

The service at this hotel is impeccable. All the staff we encountered, from restaurant to housekeeping to front desk, were polite, professional, and welcoming. Our room, albeit expensive, was large, well-appointed, and oozed Old-World charm. Delighted with our choice; well worth the cost!

Lovely hotel. Right in the old town, but accessible by the road right next to the river. Staff very nice and helpful. A nice cafe adjoins the hotel too. Close to all the lovely shops, restaurants, museums, fortress etc. We had a huge room.

Lots of really nice amenities. Very pleasant hotel right in the middle of the old town area. Room on 3rd floor had view of beautiful courtyard within the hotel. The restaurant and bar were both very good with excellent service. Highly recommend if staying in Salzburg

Centrally located. Beautiful view. Wonderful staff.

Location was perfect for exploring the whole city on foot, and room was spacious. Bed was comfortable enough. Bathroom was fine except for the shower was precarious to use with awkward placement of the showerhead, and the showerhead was difficult to keep from falling. Water temperature was difficult to get right and would unpredictably change mid-shower. Wifi was terrible, barely worked. When it rained, water came into the room through all windows as it's a very old building with rotted wood around windows. Staff came in immediately to dry the water and place towels in the windows though, which was fine. Short Indian man at reception gave us the wrong prices about parking. (The actual prices as of May 2024 - covered garage is 33 euros per night and uncovered lot is 22.50 euros per night). After parking in the covered garage and showing him a photo of the sign from the parking garage of the prices he argued with me that it was wrong and that it was only 22 euros per night at most. We of course ended up paying 66 euros at the end for 2 nights (36 hours). I notified a different member of staff and she was lovely and said she would correct her colleague about the parking prices.

What a beautiful hotel! The room we had was beautiful, clean and great view. My only complaint was the firmness of the mattress. But the hotel staff and rooms and location are perfect for a trip to Salzburg.

Nice location and attractive building

Great location. Very good breakfast in extra nice breakfast room overlooking the river. We had a tasty dinner in the cafe. Room was spacious and comfortable in a cleverly adapted building. Very nice staff.

Outstanding location in the Altstadt and walking distance to much of the attractions. Nice sized room and most importantly the staff and service is fantastic.

When I first came in, I needed to use the bathroom in the lobby and when I went it one of the toilets had some brown crust on the rim of one of the seats and I was disgusted. When we got to our room we decided to drink some of their complimentary tea they gave us, and one of the mugs was cracked and had brown stains all throughout it from all the people drinking from it. The cleanliness of this hotel is not that well.

The staff was excellent, we got a tour and history lesson about the building. Great location to walk to all the attractions in old town. The hotel is old but rooms are clean and a good size. Could see the fortress out our window. Loved it!

Very old building around 600 years old with amazing GM and staff who do their best to help the hotel guest and you find a small restaurant in the hotel but it prepares a delicious meal

Great spot super close to the center of town.

The hotel was pleasant but definitely not 5* as advertised. This would put it in the same bracket as the Sacher or the Bristol and it definitely doesn’t achieve the same level of quality. It was in a really convenient spot, right in the middle of the old town. Great for the shops and restaurants near by. The hotel was quite tired and noisy. I know the hotel has no control over guests and their children, but the maids would repeatedly shout “housekeeping” as they entered the neighbouring rooms first thing in the morning , before having chats on their mobile phones. Friends of ours staying in the room opposite had to change rooms because of the night club under the hotel. Staff were pleasant and happy to help, but definitely not a 5* experience.

Our stay was very nice

Conveniently situated in Old Town Nice, spacious room with the view of the river. Great front desk employees, especially the Asian lady.

Everything was perfect. The room was very large and comfortable, equipped with a coffee maker and almost everything a home would have. Really a home away from home. The buffet breakfast had lots of variety and plentiful. The hotel was very convenient located, walkable to all the important sites and close to transportation. One could exit the hotel either at the Altstadt or on the riverside. Super convenient
