Great hotel with beautiful views, walking distance to Cannery Row where all the restaurants and shops are.

Great location and view, but the room had not been checked to see if everything was working properly. The heating and cooling device did not work, so we had to sleep with the balcony door open to cool the room, but that brought smells, noise and a pesky fly into the room. Also,the bedside lamps did not work and the Kuerig did not work. Plus, parking at $28 - yikes.

The room was clean and ready for an early check in for us. Waters for us in the fridge. Everything was very inviting. We've stayed here several times and this time was exactly what we've come to expect. Light, airy, ready for relaxation.

Beautiful room, beautiful view, beautiful night. The from t desk was extra helpful and courteous. Only small issue was our upstairs neighbor was very heavy footed as he packed up and left at 5:30 am. Other than that it was absolutely fabulous

This was our third time to stay at this hotel. The views are amazing and close to restaurants and shopping. A 10 minute walk or less and you're at Cannery Row. Looking forward to our next trip here in Monterey.

The Monterey Bay Inn is a unique property. It sits right on the Bay on Cannery Row. It does not have a restaurant or bar, but the location is close to many fine dining options. The room includes a wonderful continental breakfast that has warm muffins, fruit, yogurt, hard boiled egg and coffee that is brought to your room. The service us friendly and professional. I upgraded my room to the ocean view balcony. Wow! Was that a great idea. The views were stunning. The room is very large and comfortable. The bathrooms were also large. There are rwo hit tubs on the property but i did not bring my bathing suit so was sad to have not tried it. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

What a wonderful place to stay and enjoy Monterey! It was the only hotel on the waterfront that didn't charge thousands to stay!! All with no water mold smell!! This property will be our go to when visiting the area!!

I chose Monterey Bay Inn because of the location on cannery row and the view. We had a private balcony that overlooked the harbor. The Aquarium is a 10-15 minute walk away as well as the shopping and restaurants. My only complaint - and it’s completely out of their hands - THE SEALS. All day, all night, they bark. They never stop! It was great to see them overtake the beach, not so much to try and sleep while they’re there. If you are a light sleeper or are unable to sleep with ear plugs I would advise you stay elsewhere while the seals are on the beach.

We loved this room and wished we could stay another night. The room had a balcony that overlooked the beach that was filled with sea lions. We loved watching them. They partied all night long, so we used our earbuds, but that was fine.

This was a nice hotel on Cannery Row. Parking was a little tight and cost $25 a day. The Sea Lions took over the beach next to it and they were pretty noisy. The hotel did hand out ear plugs for sleeping. They were fun to watch.
Easy walk to restaurants and shops on Cannery Row. I would recommend this Inn.

Great staff, very accommodating. Given a room with a view. However, had to move to another room as a result of smoke odor left by previous occupant(s). Constantly barking seals in the harbor posed concern for light sleepers.

The staff and service was great. The complimentary intercontinental breakfast was a good way to start the day. We also loved the hot tub on the 4th floor, it had an amazing view of the bay. We will definitely be coming back when we need a little break from the hustle and bustle of the city life!!

The front desk staff seemed to think they were entitled and doing me a favor to allow me to stay in this hotel. They were less than accommodating for an early check in. I arrived earlier than the scheduled check in at 4pm. I requested an early check in and they stated they would call. No call. I came back at 3:30 as I watched them check other guests in. They offered all the guest ear plugs but not me. You need ear plugs due to the seals. The bathrooms are out dated, hair in the tub, comforter on bed old and dirty. When I asked for water was told it’s in the room.. it wasn’t so I had to call down to get some. I would not stay at this hotel again. BTW no air conditioning. Not a big deal per the front desk. however you can’t have your slider open because of the seals noise so yes. big deal!

Wonderful view overlooking the Warf. Great bed and bathroom. However, it was noisy with the patio door open because the sea lions and harbor seals were barking all night!

Parking was convenient. Breakfast in the room was a plus. The upgrade in our room was an unexpected bonus. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony during Car Week and viewing the cars that passed. Staff recommendations for restaurants were spot on.

Customer service is excellent! We’ve stayed there to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries for several years. Walkable to restaurants, bars and shopping on Cannery Row. Park our car when we arrive and don’t need it again until we leave. Special touches such as cookies in the lobby in the afternoons. Love watching the otters and sea lions from our balcony.

We had the perfect room, the view was amazing, relaxing and everything we needed it to be. The staff at the hotel are so gracious . We stay here once a year and the service is why we always come back. Thank you to all that made our stay amazing.

The hotel staff and location were excellent! We splurged on an oceanfront room with a balcony. The room itself was clean and comfortable, but needed some updating. The ocean view was pretty good, but the noise from the seagulls was atrocious. Every morning between 4:30 and 5:00 we were woken by the cacaphony of bird noise. No waking to gentle ocean sounds because of so many birds. Birds were everywhere, roaming around the hotel patios and coming in thru open windows. It seemed rather unsanitary. We learned an expensive lesson.
