Lobby was nice but rooms are old and tired looking. My a/c sounded like an old broken refrigerator, making it difficult to sleep. Bathroom tired looking, loose faceplates for the light switch and plug. Rates too high for this quality.

I stayed here with my son and dog. Was impressed by the clown cleanliness of the room and the friendliness of the staff. The pool is amazing! Great views. I will sure stay here again.

My view wasn’t quite ocean view but paid for ocean view. I was basically overcharged.

Location is good but property is very dated. A/C issues in the room and limited amenities at the pool. Also billed incorrectly and having to challenge the charges as weren’t consistent with the booking rates. Overall just OK but likely would not go back.

Property is nice but has a lot of deferred maintenance. Shower drain was clogged,, HVAC was loud and made noises coming from vents, you can hear pressure assist toilts flushing at night. Doors contantly slam, loud neighbors.

Perfect hotel for our family to use as a base for a weekend of celebrations. Unfortunately I didn't realize until the last day that one of the rooms did not have the marina view I paid for. I mentioned it at checkout but didn't pursue it when the clerk didn't offer any explanation. The only other downside was that the televisions weren't able to receive the signal for the major network stations and we weren't able to watch the Olympic opening ceremonies or the competition.

It’s a pleasant hotel: not too expensive, decent service, reasonably clean, a nice (salt water) pool in case you don’t like the nearby ocean. It’s very close to the Pacific shoreline, and thus to the beaches … also close to a number of decent restaurants. Not a place where you’re likely to see celebrities, but a place where you’d just see a lot of plain folks enjoying themselves.

Sea air

My stay was business-related, but I did utilize a few of the amenities on site. The pool area was clean and provided a private experience on an upper level. The room was clean and the property was quiet overnight. The only sub-par experience I had was with room service on both days of my stay. One day the service was severely delayed (it took over an hour when I was told 30 minutes) and the other day unfortunately the food I was served had to be sent back (they kindly took this charge off my bill). Altogether, this is a very nice property to stay at near the beach, but in the future, I will make plans to eat offsite.

The pool area was so small and disappointing. It was close to all the dining areas and other beaches that’s what I liked

Redondo pier is a circus atmosphere and some people were nasty and mean

We had stayed at this property quite often when it was the Crown Plaza. We have not been back since it was converted to Sonesta. We were very surprised to see that nothing had changed since Sonesta bought it. We expected updating; even the pictures on the walls hadn’t changed. The pool area, particularly, needed updating.

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the years and it never disappoints. It is lovely every time. It smells amazing, it's clean and very comfortable. The staff is always nice & accommodating. Nice pool area and restaurant/bar. In a perfect location, walk to everything! Will always be my first choice while staying in the South Bay!

The Hotel lobby itself is very nice. Great valet parking and directly across from the harbor. The room was absolutely disgusting. Our sheets had blood on them, used make up and perfume bottles and had literally dirt stains on them. The room smelled very bad and the tub had disgusting black rings of dirt. We booked a third day and upon checkin they told us we could stay in our room for all three days to find out we had to leave the room so we could check back in flr the third day. However the room was so nasty we cut our trip shoprt and left. Im not kidding when i say that the room was so disgusting that the staff members who came to change our sheetd asked us to file a complaint to management. They were do ashamed. There seems to be no oversight and the rooms are dilapidated.

There was a bug on my bed. We were given the wrong parking card to get in and out of the parking garage. The air conditioner made noise until it was fixed. The shower was very slippery. Management said there was supposed to be non slip mas in all rooms. We had two rooms and there was no mat. My room did not have the reading lights on my headboard. I called three times to have them fixed and they never were. Also, when management was told of my complains, they really didn't seem to care. They never wrote anything down. We'll never stay there again! Very disappointing!

You are literally feet from Redondo Pier, and beach. You are in close proximity to numerous dining options.

Not great - the hotel is clearly an old hotel with an ok face lift.
