All good except the sink started to overflow with foam as the commode gurgled. We had to dip the foam out before it got all over the vanity!!!

We love this place. We’ve stayed several times and will stay again in the future if it’s available next time we’re in the area, but there is a new building being built behind it and the construction crew are very inconsiderate. Twice we were blocked in where we were parked by equipment trailers and they were in no hurry to move them. The construction noise wasn’t an issue where our room was located, but would have likely been a distraction if we had not been on the lowest floor. The place is not fancy, but is always clean and reasonably maintained. We like it because it’s unique. The building, its location, and the rooms themselves make it an ideal option for us.

We enjoyed our stay. Property was a little dated but not dirty. Very beautiful and rustic building and outdoor areas. Construction happening behind unit, but it wasnt loud.
We saw a Bear in the parking lot, we thought that was pretty cool. Would stay here again.

I didn't like that you had to go to a different hotel to check in. It should tell you that in the description. It is very out of date. The only thing updated is the bathroom.

First thing, gosh couldn’t find it. Road under construction and post it signs telling us where to go.
Then sign in the door saying go back down the street to some motel to check in. Parking lot was muddy and cramped. Room was very old but very clean. I never met any staff or seen anyone that could have even cleaned. The pics of this place are very deceiving. Not worth 150 a night. Far walk to parkway and steep hills.

We had a girls weekend. Room 214 is great if you have 3 or 4 people. Very big room with balcony and a grassy area overlooking the pool.

Staff was friendly but preoccupied. Unusual hotel but clean. Was able to walk everywhere, decent hill coming back to hotel when on foot.

This property was absolutely disgusting and the pictures posted look nothing like the actual property. There was mold everywhere, dead gnats on the counter, hairballs on the floor, and a layer of dust on everything. Upon notifying the management of the state of the room they did nothing to correct the situation. I informed them that I would not be staying at their facility and requested a refund, which they denied. I informed them that I had pictures of the state of our room and would be reaching out to Expedia for my refund which didn’t seem to phase them. I would never recommend this establishment to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and do not book a room at The Chalet Inn

The pictures listed are from 1972. The property is disgusting. I took several pictures of this room. There was brown goop on the walls, stains, holes, cracks, mold, and rotted wood in my room (204). I paid 330 a night for a romantic getaway and got a nightmare!

This room is very awkward and as a vacation rental owner, I would never rent something like that out. They did try to revamp bathroom, but still not good. Couldnt fine check in office. We came in at night and there were no signs lite up or anything. Had to ask another couple stayi g where to go! They said they had same problem. Wouldnt recommend this place.

Very outdated. Awkward accommodations/room layout.
No office. Upon arrival there was a sign on the door to check in at another hotel down the hill.
Exterior door into the building unlocked day and night.
Large stains on curtains. Mildew in bathroom and around jacuzzi tub.
Will not reserve again.

We stayed in the Panoramic Double room. It was clean and spacious. The balcony views were amazing. It is an older property, but has a lot of character. Beds were comfortable. Close to downtown and to the national park. Will be back in the spring, and will be choosing this hotel again.

Seems to be a much older place that has been cheaply remodeled. Mix of old and new. Narrow hallways and stairs, amazing how it's ADA compliant. Same owners as Econo Lodge so it's a lower end property. Need to check in there which they don't tell you and limited breakfast is there too, down the road. Would not stay here again.

The only thing that I can rate decent is that the bed was clean along with the toilet. The rooms definitely needed upgraded due to cosmetic blemishes, wider doorways, screens on windows and curtains that shut completely for privacy.

I have stayed here multiple times.
The Good: Older Inn with spectacular views of the space needle and the tram. Easily walkable to restaurants and the strip. The pool was clean, and the temperature was perfect. Employees were very friendly. The price per night fit my budget.
The Bad: Room could use a deep clean, new bedding, and towels (some were threadbare).
The Inn would be FABULOUS if someone with vision would do a remodel.

Good view and was cheaper than newer and more updated hotels were. Did not like having to go to a different hotel for the office and for the included continental breakfast. Very steep hill to walk up and down. Not convenient for anyone with mobility challenges.

It was a clean bed to stay, but this room was a basement property, I did not like the location, but I had a restful night sleep and that is what mattered. Could stand to be updated.

The room was super clean and perfect for what we needed for our stay. The only downfall, was the steep hill that you had to walk up to get to the rooms after a day on the strip.

The property is definitely older, but was kept clean. The pool and grounds were pretty well maintained. The hotel is two blocks off the main tourist strip making it quiet while still walkable. It is also up the side of a hill just enough to give a great view. Our room had several large windows and two balcony areas to take maximum advantage, a huge plus! Take the posted signs of a bear in the area seriously. We had a pretty close encounter while walking to dinner. Fortunately it was not aggressive, but you do need to be alert, especially with children!

We stayed 5 nights. The location & view were perfect. However the room was a bit lacking. Uncomfortable bed / pillows. And black mold growing in the shower as the finish of the shower surround was separated from the wall. (Room 215). Pricewise the previous year I stayed at the Rocky Waters Motor Inn & was much cheaper and far better quality.
I dont believe i will return to the Chalet unless drastic changes are made in the quality of the rooms.
