This hotel was fine for the great price I paid. It's close to UAlbany and that's why I was in the area. The outside was clean, lobby was spacious. Plastic shields between the customer and front desk employee is off-putting. The breakfast area was way, way too small tonaccommodate the amount of guests who would be wating at any given time. Breakfast hours were long, which was great (6-10 am). Waffles, toast, yogurt, muffins and some fresh fruit were the offerings. It was a nice assortment, but if staying longer than 2 nights yous be bored with those offering. The room was a good size for 2 double beds. We had plenty of aoace to put our bags. The bathroom had a nice vanity for laying our toiletries. Rooms seems to have been recently updated. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable which made a great night's sleep. My biggest compliant is the awful smell of the rooms. I don't know of it's a mold smell from the AC unit or what, but it was so bad on the second night after returning from a long day on Albany's campus that I had to request a disinfectant. It helped in the moment, but when i got home inrelized that all of my clothes, even the ones I hadn't worn had the terrible smell. Our room was serviced, which was a surprise. I actually would have preferred that it wasnt, but I didn't have a Do Not Disturb sign. It was a good value for the price. I'd stay again, but woukd hope the smell is under control.

When I started to settle in my room I noticed the tv was limited to 3 channels. When I called the front desk the rep asked if I’d like to change rooms. So I took the offer. As I got into my second room I was noticing wet spots thinking it was a leak from the refrigerator. But really it was the entire carpet was soaked. I had to put towels on the floor to not get my socks wet. I wasn’t trying to walk with my shoes especially when getting up in the morning touching the floor with my bare feet. I took a showers and didn’t feel clean cuz the floor was soaking wet. The rep was very nice just the rooms were not welcoming.

Such a reasonable rate for a nights stay, parking and breakfast. Rooms were clean and large enough. The staff were so polite and welcoming.

We had no issues , everything was great. The staff were friendly. Our only problems was the smell in the lobby. It seemed to wreak of marijuana! Maybe some air freshener would be nice! Maybe it was not a regular problem; but it was definitely a turn off

The rooms look like they have upgraded them. The beds are SUPER comfortable. I booked here after moving my son into UAlbany for move in day. I would stay here again.

Urine smell in room. Lady’s noise in my neighbor’s room at midnight, can’t sleep until dawn.

Bathroom ceiling had disgusting brown spots, smelled skunky. Everything else was ok. Bed was comfy, good pillows. A/C unit was loud but tolerable. Fine for a quick one night stay.

Our stay was okay but the smell of pot was not enjoyable and children running around in the hallways of the hotel at all hours of the night disturbed our sleep.

We made a reservation for 2 queens upon arrival they had 1king which my wife and I did not want to share with our14 yr old

The room includes bathroom were clean. There was the smell of smoke I. The general hotel. It was acceptable but not great. The room was cleaned during the stay and the breakfast was also not great but acceptable. The actual worse part was the coffee, which tasted like instant.

There was nothing we liked except location. Dirty old shade broke 2nd room hot air conditioning did not work . Staff never smiled and were not friendly

It’s not a fancy hotel but it’s clean and comfortable and we stay there often when we’re in the Albany area! The breakfast is good and the staff is pleasant except for one woman who hung up on me and was very rude, but I keep coming back because I love Sandy!!

Excellent stay. No issues at all. Extremely friendly staff, particularly, the red haired women at the check-in window. Very good breakfast. One suggestion for the breakfast, have more fresh fruit.

Rundown…needs work….

I use to stay here at least 1-2 times per week years ago, for business and stayed off and on for at least 2-3 years and everything back then was very good but my wife and I stayed here a few days ago and after arrival from a long day and trip, the first two rooms were unacceptable and the third was better. This hotel has gone downhill since I stayed here years ago. The service was ok, when the desk clerk wasn't outside smoking and morning breakfast area was good and satisfying. It was good overall and affordable but could have been a better stay. I hope they can get it back to where it needs to be....coming from a oerson who gave this location much business over the years.
