Great location just plain on spending a lot on parking. It was 85$ a day at the hotel and that’s a deal if you try to park in any garage it’s around 40$

Classic well-serviced hotel in Chicago along the Magnificent Mile. Staff were exceptionally helpful and timely with all our requests. Check-in was easy, and as usual the pool was a huge hit with our kids.

We enjoyed our stay. The location is convenient to walk the Magnificent Mile and other points of interests within the area. The hotel itself is well kept and clean. The room is spacious enough for our stay.

Having stayed here many times over 40 years, the Intercontinental is at the top of their game and value oriented. Freddy at the front desk is the best!

Perfect location on Michigan Avenue for shops and sight-seeing. Everyone was very friendly. Room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels. Wonderful view of the City, especially at night. Breakfast was very good.

Great stay but I am offended by such a high class hotel charging an outrageous amount (they will not let me put dollar amounts in this review) for a half liter of water. Much less expensive hotels the water bottles are included

The room felt like it was squeezed in an area where it shouldn’t have existed. Off on the corner by itself. Hotel staff and amenities were great, the room just left a lot to be desired.

The room's window was very dirty, impeding the already less-than-stellar view. The bathroom was quite different (worse) than depicted in photos, and the "fitness center" was absolutely tiny, two tightly packed rows of mostly treadmills in a windowless room.

We loved everything about this hotel and the property. It was close to shopping, coffee, eateries and the theater--a mere few minutes in an Uber. The staff was friendly, and went above and beyond every day. The bell staff and valet was helpful and courteous, the pool was glorious, the beds were comfortable, the architecture amazing, and margaritas from Casa Chi, sublime. Would highly recommend staying here.

The premium rooms were not worth upgrading to, not much like what the photos showed. They were still very small and not well kept. The mattress was not in great shape and dipped way into the middle with 2 people laying on it. The bathroom had maintenance issues that we requested to be fixed, but only one was addressed. The one staff member we talked to about the issues was kind, but all of our other interactions people just were in a rush, not much help.
It's a great property for convenience and has nice amenities though.

Perfect location to stay for strolling down the Mag Mile. Parking options are aplenty, do your research. Red Line train stop is 2 blocks away so you can easily get out and see other Chicago highlights on the North Side. Oak St and North Ave beaches are 20 and 30 minute walks away.
One con about this location to consider: its a block away from a hospital so you hear ambulances ALL NIGHT LONG. City dwellers wont mind because we're used to the noise, but sensitive sleepers from quieter parts of the country might be overwhelmed.

Front desk staff is great! The room was very clean and spacious with very comfortable beds. Hotel is located within walking distance of anything you need such as restaurants, shopping and entertainment, Navy Pier, Millenium Park, and the Riverwalk.

The location is perfect. The pool is fabulous. The staff is very professional.
It was nice to have hot water immediately in the bathroom.
I have become a fan of the soft close toilet seat. Unfortunately, this wasn’t a feature of this property.
Also, information regarding the location of ice and the fact that there are two different groups of elevators would be useful to know upon arrival.
