The front desk workers were extremely helpful. We arrived way before our check in time and there were no rooms available for early check in but they held our luggage while we went to Universal Studios. The free shuttle to and from Universal was also very timely on convenient, but you have to email or call them in advance to book the shuttle times. The beds were a little hard and the room was basic but clean. I think King Kong stayed in the room above us because we heard every massive step he took, but otherwise our stay was fine and the location with free shuttle was very convenient.

The front desk people were extremely friendly, they offer a shuttle service to and from the Burbank airport as well as universal studios. They have a year round heated pool. Our room was clean, however, I would have liked a microwave in the room. Overall a great experience due to great staff!

We absolutely love this hotel, this is our go to when in the area, the staff is friendly and always willing to aid. This is a must stay!

Good location. Service and cleanliness met standards for the price point. Room was a little cramped for a family of 4, but we were only there to sleep. Unfortunately, the same day we took our AirPods out of our bag to charge on the nightstand for flight the next day, the earbuds came up missing. Of note, they were not used nor removed from the case by us even one time while at the hotel. Find My device tracking app shows last location was the hotel just before we left, yet they were not located in the room (I didn't expect they would be, as WE did not remove them from the case while at the hotel) despite "multiple" searches by housekeeping and management. No one outside the family had access to our room aside from housekeeping each day. If you stay here, hide or secure your valuables!

Great stay. Before we got there, front desk service was amazing with helping me set up shuttle dates and times from the airport to the hotel and also from the hotel to Universal Studios! So amazing! The drivers were so friendly and nice. The people at the front desk were always so friendly and helpful. The room was great for me and my two teens. Clean, cozy and enjoyed the pool under the light up sign! Close walking distance to CVS, donut prince and raising canes. Did not regret not getting a rental since we were only there for Universal Studios. Will definitely book again!

The room was spacious, had a couch to sit on, spacious bathroom with a full size mirror to ensure your outfit is perfect. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

Stayed here with my family (2 adults, 1 child) during September. The hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. The room was spacious (we had a standard twin). The beds weren’t as comfortable as I would have liked, but it wasn’t extremely bad. My son got to use the pool which was nice and warm. I liked the nostalgia of knowing some of my favourite movie and tv shows filmed scenes here. The shuttle service was such a life saver! Just make sure you book it before hand, however they were able to accommodate for us one afternoon when we decided to leave the park a little earlier. Drivers on the shuttle are also amazing.

Near to Universal Studios

Iconic and jist perfect for our requirement

Female staff would not allow us to store our luggage at reception on day of checkout for any time at all, not even for two hours, room did not have any dishcloth, dishwashing detergent, nor a frypan. We were told room made up every three days, we stayed for 4 nights and room was not serviced at all. Manny at reception was a star, checking us in, giving local advice and making some of the missing items right.

Very helpful, great shuttle service. Close to everything. You don't need a car!!

Booked for the location and iconic sign used in various movies. Staff were very friendly and helpful and room was very clean with linen changed regularly. Price was fair. Only issue we had was two double beds for family of four - not two king/ queen size. Made it a little cramped with 2 teens. Hotel didn't seem to offer an alternative unless paying for 2 rooms. Majority of US hotels offer 2 queen / kings as standard and the rooms are a good size so a shame the beds are not bigger.

Fabulous pool and a great retro feel.

The staff was top notch. Super friendly helpful....they did it all. The bed was very comfortable and the iconic sign is just cool as heck. But, the bathroom shower had some issues. Long hairs coming of drain and tons of mold on the actual shower head. It was pretty disgusting.

My family and I enjoyed our quick stay. We really appreciated the free shuttle to Universal Studios. The pool area was fun and the customer service was amazing. We would definitely stay again!

Clean room, good service. A bit more bare bones where there is no coffee in the lobby or bathroom available if your room is not ready. Staff was helpful and courteous. Clean and well run place for the age of the hotel and in a nice prt of the LA area. Parking cramped so a full sized truck or suv would have a challenging time.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Safari Inn. The location was perfect, close to food and everything we needed. The shuttle service was great, and took us to Universal Studio and downtown with no issues at all. (Thanks Luis!!) We'll stay here again for sure!

Surprisingly comfortable clean and quiet Helpful staff Nice neighborhood

We enjoyed our stayed here, it was definitely family friendly, spacious, with easy parking and conveniently close to the Hollywood attractions we were interested in.

I booked this hotel solely because of the historic value of the property and their amazing Safari Inn famous vintage neon sign. The property is in good condition and is a classic motel. Keep in mind this is for a particular type of vintage Americana experience not a luxury stay. You will feel transported back in time to the 1950s. Our room was clean, with a prime view of the neon sign and pool. The mattresses were not too comfortable for our liking but were okay. They have an elevated deck by the pool and sign atop the office drive thru with patio tables and umbrellas. This is best at night as Burbank is sunny and hot in August, I enjoyed my stay, and staff were stellar. We were there during a 4.4 earthquake centered nearby and the property felt solid. The location is so convenient to major freeways for excursions to Ventura, downtown LA, etc. I was pleased with the surrounding neighborhood and felt safe, with my impression of Burbank as a clean, safe town. Would stay again, I’m thrilled this property is being preserved as one of few remaining. Good value, we stayed two nights.
