The room smelled like smoke badly.

The hallways and elevator were a little outdated and dirty. The downstairs lobby area looked newer than the hallways upstairs. The toilet in the room didn’t flush properly and the room I stayed in had a door that connected to the other room,unable to open the other door but still had me feeling uneasy about it. I would definitely make sure that those doors would be visibly sealed completely.

Was not prepared for the $50 pet fee upon arrival. Learned the lesson to call motels before booking. When I went into the room the toilet was running. Had to jiggle the handle to get it to stop. Happened 3 times through the night. The room was great despite these issues. But won’t return due to $50 pet fee. Oh, the $4 breakfast was great!

I was attempting to engage the cleaning lady in a conversation to let her know that I was checking out and that she could go ahead and clean my room. She spoke no English and did not understand a word I was saying....I would suggest that you place signage at the top of the property so that you can see it at a distance

We stay here years ago like when the hotel was freshly new. I don’t know what happened, if it’s under a different management or something. But, We could smell marijuana all in the hallway once we open our room door. I thought this was a no smoking facility. The bathroom was dated and needs to be upgraded the toilet sit to low especially for older people like me with back issues. And the tub look like it had little black mold spots around it. The tub looked like it was dirty with a dirt ring around it. The building inside just looks tied. But we endured for 3 days. Never again.

Coffee machine in room broken saw a roach hallway pretty dingy check person was clearly a little racist about a guest and everyone that looks like her by his comments

I have enjoyed Holiday Inn Express in my past hotel stays. and this one in Oak Brook did not disappoint. Except for having inadequate luggage carts for hotel guests to use for checking in and checking out - my stay was really great! :-)

Hotel could use an update. The hallways were dingy, doors often had chipped paint, stains on the carpet. Room was clean, but tired. There was a large gap between bottom of door so the hallway light spilled into the room. Door stuck and had to be pushed hard to open and close. Stayed here once before last year, room then was in a better condition. Elevators small, slow and seemed bumpy. Staff was nice and check in was smooth

There were food wrappers all over the lobby that were there our entire stay. This shows they do not clean anything. The garbage cans near the elevator on the third floor smelled like rotting garbage and there were flies. In the room the toilet had an issue where it was making a lot of noise every 15 seconds. I could tell by the condition of the rest of the building there would be no fixing it. Next room over they were smoking in the room and the fire alarms went off constantly. This is not the hotels fault just terrible people. They were very loud all night and had the music blasting. For the price of the hotel i was terribly disappointed in how unkept it was.

Terrible Holiday Inn. Terrible customer service. They did not consistently clean my room. I called their front office to provide me with fresh clean towels and toilet paper which their cleaner did not provide but no action was taken. I even called their corporate headquarters and nothing was done too. This morning, a day after I checked out, I found out they overcharged me by more than a day. Please avoid this hotel. And if you think the corporate headquarters of Holiday Inn will assist you, you will be in for a big disappointment. I will avoid Holiday Inn from now on.

The room was average. I did like the quietness,large windows, and bed very comfortable. The service, cleanliness and amenities were average. Bathroom in particular was small and did not impress. Hotel needs renovation to be more modern and neat. Overall a bit overpriced but nice.

Overall good location and room was very clean. Parking is a bit of a hassle with Bar Louie being attached and open to public, but overall good.

I have been here for a long time and the truth is that I loved it. It is a highly recommended place, very clean, very nice and very pleasant. It has also been recently renovated and the rooms are much nicer.

to be rated an 8.2 by expedia is a JOKE. We stayed at the 4th floor. The room smelled like cigarrete and the hallway carpet is dirtier than a DIVE bar. Lots of unrully loud people on our floor in the middle of the night. They cater to groups or conventions of unruly people. People smoking at both entrances of the hotel just hanging out as if we are in DA HOOD. 2nd time staying in this hotel and NEVER AGAIN!

The connection to the bar was crazy and it definitely was not safe for kids of all ages because of the people coming in and out the bar which was connected and open to the hotel lobby. When get off elevator you definitely didn't know what u where going to run into.

Hotel is great location for driving right off the tollway and shopping and eating. Ask for room to be away from bar. Giordano’s Pizza next door across the street from Costco. Elevator. Limited parking in rear and side of hotel. It’s a high rise building. Jump right back on tollway and get to downtown, ORD or MDW airports.
