No microwave in my room

Very very nice historic hotel. Situated nicely downtown, within walking distance of many interesting stops. Staff was excellent.

Excellent, helpful staff. Molly was terrific, a wealth of information with a warm welcoming smile. The room clean and very comfortable. The only down side was the free breakfast. It was adequate but I guess I expected more. Wish the hotel had a bar and more affordable restaurant.

wallpaper was peeling off at seams. Made an otherwise beautiful room look cheaper.

Great historic hotel in the middle of a quaint town. Front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Travel tip: arrive early because the downtown area shuts down early. We arrived at 9PM and had to drive outside of downtown to find a place to eat.

Beautiful landscaping and beautiful hotel. They offer a free breakfast, which is all packaged sugary items. The property is conveniently located and well kept.

Initially we were unclear where to park but once we understood the layout we had a great stay.

Nice old historical property. A little pricey on the room and restaurant very pricey. Rooms were clean but only Wi-Fi and coffee maker in room. I forgot how small a full size bed was for 2 people. lol

Beautiful hotel full of history! The rooms are just charming and so well maintained. It's the perfect location in Greeneville and we love that they provide a shuttle to Niswonger Performing Arts Center on concert nights.

Love staying at General Morgan Inn. Repeat visit. Historic. Charming. Quiet. Cozy. Love the Catalyst coffee which the hotel offers a credit for each morning right on site. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful historic place. It's a 100 year old building so be aware that it is an older place. But everything worked well, and the staff was kind and prompt.

Room was surprising large. Should have a grab bar in the bath tub to help getting in and out for old folks.

Beautiful place. However, the vending machines were not stocked with drinks. Additionally, there were no way to get snacks and drinks unless you went to the front desk. This is very inconvenient. Also, i would have expected to have a larger television in such a large room.

Great stay. We appreciate old hotels. Bed was a tad noisy and hotel is VERY a close to train tracks. Know and you still have a great time.

Great place to stay

The ambiance was great! Bed was comfortable, although the frame was a little squeaky. A hot breakfast option would have been nice. Will definitely stay there again!

My husband and I really enjoyed the inn. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and nice. A very quaint and charming place. I left something at the inn and a staff member called to tell me. We were too far to turn around and they offered to mail us the item. To have staff go out of their way meant a great deal to us. It’s not every hotel/inn that would do that. We will definitely stay there again.

It's a really beautiful building.

2 baby boomer couples traveled to Greenville and stayed at the GMI for The Guess Who concert. I can’t imagine anything could have been better. The hotel has Old World charm, the staff is extraordinarily friendly, and the free shuttle to and from the concert added a perfect touch to our brief but cherished journey back to our teenage years.

This was a quint old Confederate historical property.

I stayed here recently, and it was almost comical. If you’re looking to stay at an establishment with zero customer service and concern for their guests, then the General Morgan Inn is the place for you. Besides the fact that the onsite restaurant is completely overpriced for the most mediocre food I have ever had, and that’s if you care to eat there after you’re not greeted by anyone including the Manager that is less than a foot away, and along with the fact that there is zero room service, although marketed through the room (which is probably for the best), and not to mention there is not a single person their to offer to hold the door while you have a cart loaded with Christmas gifts, I take that back the women behind the desk and the Manager had eyes on me as a desperately struggled, this hotel is so outdated that it’s not vintage, it’s just well, old. My room was so basic, my curtains torn, a tv so small you can’t see it from the bed. There is so much false advertising as well. Don’t believe the ‘breakfast included’, it’s a seven dollar voucher at a coffee shop down the street that doesn’t even have breakfast sandwiches. And the voucher decreases in value as the hours go on from 6am. I spoke to the Manager, and asked if someone could please hold the door for me, and was told “sorry, we can’t do that”. I have never written a review before, more or less a negative one. But, being in the industry, and working hard for my money, I felt the need to warn others ag

Beautiful, elegant, best of all, historic! Staff was VERY helpful and friendly.

Everything was nice and clean although the cooling system was so loud it woke me up every time it came on.

The only hickup was housekeeping not cleaning our room. The staff apologized and were very nice. The breakfast vouchers did not cover the limited breakfast offered but historical area and hotel were nice

Beautiful historic hotel. Got assigned worse room on property with extra steps and view of two alleys. Complimentary breakfast is a $7.00 voucher at coffee house on property which cover a sandwich and tax. Probably won’t bother.
