It was a very easy going hotel experience from the perspective of a businessman that regularly stays away for work. Restaurant was superb. Room was very comfortable and clean. Staff were all friendly. The only thing is the building feels slightly dated, but not at all in any major way. I will be staying there again for future travel to the area.

Nice Hotel, clean and comfortable rooms with pleasant staff. Breakfast is good and the restaurant serves nice food but the sauces are particularly salty for me.The location was convenient for me as I was visiting a company that was just across the road.

We had to wait for half an hour at the reception before we could check in.
The hotel was not in good conditions, the bathroom had bad smell and old carpets with huge stains.
I feel like we paid for much for what we got.

Had to wait a while to check in, and with two small children and Just a tiny tiny play area it felt like forever. The pool was ice cold! Good breakfast tho. And a big minus that there were no elevator when you have a stroler.

Overall a very nice hotel - we stayed with family and kids - and especially for the kids during summer it was very welcoming. very nice staff.

Was just a quick overnight stay due to a wedding party in the area. The building had some water damage, meaning that the exterior was being repaired. Good value for money, however, a special thank you to Lone at the reception. Her personality and welcoming mood, made the whole stay worth a lot more. That’s something worth more than money in my book.

The hotel was nicely situated in relation to surrounding attractions. It was clean and well run. The restaurant on site was a bit pricey, but my one real complaint would be the heavy doors to the rooms that slam shut on their own. They woke me up numerous times since people had trouble controlling them.

The hotel was fine and having stayed there before I was expecting another good, short-but-sweet visit but despite the hotel being clean, tidy and offering a friendly welcome it went downhill rapidly the morning of check-out when there was no hot water in any rooms!!
When mentioning this to reception at time of check out, my colleagues and I were all told that the boiler was broken and that it would be working next time we visited. There was no apology or offer of anything by way of making amends for this situation, so I doubt very much that there will be a "next time"!!

Good clean hotel with nice restaurant that was in a convenient location for my trip - the company that I was visiting resided in a business park opposite the hotel.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was lovely with many options. Overall I would recomend this hotel, but with one warning it is on the very edge of the town of Sønderborg and as my cousin and I arrived in town by train we had quite the walk (3km ish) through an unlikely looking residential area to get to the hotel. So it is not really a walkable hotel. However the staff were amazing and all acomidations were just what we needed! Would very much recomend!

Fortunately we had a car, because the hotel is out of town - convenient for the highway, but a long way from downtown restaurants, waterfront, etc. (which, by the way, are definitely worth a visit). Taxis may be available, of course. Rooms seem a bit dated - seventies decor, beds a bit soggy - but the amenities are fine, including bar, restaurant and small swimming pool. No elevator to upper floor rooms that we could find, so don't bring heavy suitcases. It was fine for our purposes. On the other hand, the breakfasts (included in our price) were very good and the staff were excellent and really helpful, especially at front desk.

Stayed for one night, room clean, staff helpful and friendly. Gym good size for a hotel. Back of hotel where rooms are could do with a lick of paint as looking tired and grey. Good selection on breakfast buffet, location was good for me as needed short journey to Sonderborg Airport, a short drive from center of town. Pleasant stay.

The experience was good. Check-in was fast, very friendly and efficient despite the late evening check-in with three tired kids.
The rooms have been renovated but the bathrooms are still very simple and dated - not that it mattered to us as they were clean. But they stand a bit in contrast to the nice room.
Hotel is located in an industrial area which we knew, so not a problem but it is not near downtown. You will need to grab a bus or drive there. It will however not take more than a few minutes by car.
For us this was a real value for money hotel. We left early for breakfast with friends so we did not try the breakfast buffet and we did not use other facilities either.
Parking and wireless internet was free of charge.

The review leads you to believe this is directly on the sea, but it is not. The setting is nice though, it is surrounded by trees. Free WiFi in entire hotel and nice morning breakfast. Good size room.

All hotels in Scandinavia are expensive and so was this, but was good value for money in terms of comfort (very comfy beds) and amenities. Still haggling over an additional room charge which was charged with no reason. Check out was not late and nothing used from bar. Despite this, would recommend the hotel for a pleasant stay.
