Right on the waterfront. Easy to walk around. So nice and safe. Beautiful property

The hotel is lovely and was perfect for my needs. The only challenge I had is getting anything to eat before 7 am. I spoke with the hotel front desk and with one of the restaurant staff who was getting ready to open, hoping I could collect a muffin or pastry, but was told to I had to wait until 7.

This hotel was not my cup of tea. It wasn't very clean. The flushed in the bathroom needed held down in order to flush it. The first night of our stay, the hot water went out. We gave it some time and by the following afternoon, we were being told it wouldn't be fixed until the following day. We asked to be let out of our stay without being charged so we could find a new stay. They didn't want to do it at first but we were persistent so finally they gave in.
Their breakfast was a little odd as well. When you sit down for breakfast, they bring over a receipt and require you to put your room number on it. They receipt is for $0 but there is a space to leave a tip which felt very awkward like they were pressuring you to leave a tip for something that was supposed to be free and if you didn't, they had your room number. We weren't the only ones that found this odd. Other families were discussing it as well.
We were able to book a last minute stay at some beach cottages. It was much nicer, cleaner, and saved us quite a bit of money. They also had washers and dryers which this hotel's listing claimed to have but didn't.

Our room was huge. When we sat on our bed it felt like we were far from the TV. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. We had a harbor view room. Would stay again. Would highly recommend.

Location was awesome as was the view. Our room was very comfortable and clean. However we went 2 days without hot water. I know these things happen but we should have been offered a compensation for the inconvenience.

Quaint older hotel, rooms were well kept and clean. Breakfast was well appointed with everything you may want to eat. Right across from the ocean or you can take the old rail Torah down to the board walk. (Approx 10km to the end and back).

The hotel is a bit run down, in need of paint and a good scrubbing. The bed was great. That’s #1. Lighting in the room was low. The shower silicone had some mold building up. The plumbing pressure was pretty low, so difficult to get the shower going this morning.
Good parking. Nice staff. Breakfast was adequate. We came down at 9 a.m., and they were out of sausages and potatoes. What was left was scrambled eggs and some cold French toast.

The staff is incredible! Polite, helpful, and friendly from our arrival to our departure.
Our room was very clean and the bed very comfy. The hot water in both shower and sink took a full 3-5 minutes to get hot.
The furniture is wicked outdated. Two lamps and the TV would not turn on. Help arrived in a very short time and things were fixed quickly. Buffet breakfast was nice, but typical for similar hotels.

This hotel is wonderful for travels leaving from or returning to the Edmonton area.
We stayed the night before our flight out after driving most of the day. Our room was very comfortable, the staff were extremely friendly and unlike most hotels the shower actually had great water pressure.
We decided to have breakfast at The Steels Cafe and Grill. The food was delicious, portions were huge and again the staff were great.

Below is a copy of my booking receipt; however, I have been charged two separate charges-- $626.93 plus $222.78, a total of $849.71. I have contacted the hotel and spoke with the manager; said she was doing a refund, but I have not received one yet. It has now been over a week since these charges posted to my credit card. I am very unhappy with this property.

The view was super of the marina. Room 325. The check-in desk staff were very pleasant. The beds were so comfortable. Breakfast buffet was nice, (except the eggs were cold by 9 am.) Overall a very very nice hotel.

The room and location was lovely but the bathroom was disgusting comparatively. The grout was black, I wouldn't take a shower. So very disappointing. Very off putting!! I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Staff were nice but not helpful. I struggled getting cart through the door, no assistance. I have a mobility issue, not much help offered.

The property was nice and the breakfast was WONDERFUL! Did not like how there was not much to do in Summerside. Would rather stay in Charlottetown as there were more things to do and everything is easy to drive to in PEI.

The staff were excellent overall. Some appeared over whelmed and not prepared. Restaurant staff were great. Breakfast buffet was cold. Overall great. Price was good, Breakfast included, free parking and room was very clean.

We did not enjoy our stay and cancelled our second night with much hassle and no assistance from hotel staff. A series of seemingly small things added up and made us want to leave. From having only 1 towel in the room to finding there was no shower curtain and the bathroom fan not working to the loud bar fridge defrosting all over the floor and breakfast where all the hot food was cold. The staff must be used to complaints as they seemed unphased and likely had been instructed to not grant cancellations. It took an Expedia agent calling the property to escalate the complaint and having to sent them an email to grant the cancelation.
This was a total waste of time and we had to adjust all our travel plans.
Only stay with low expectations.

This was a lovely hotel! Staff were super friendly and courteous. Great location, The room was comfortable and quiet and the hotel offered all the amenities you need. Breakfast included with our stay was fantastic too!

It was a nice play, but the breakfast was terrible firt morning food was cold had to bring in my room and put in microwave, second day wait for 30 minutes for eggs and last day sunday no eggs no potatoes at 9:00 a little bit desapointed for that for the price we paid

So the place itself is great. We booked same morning of the day we were going to stay. It showed 8 rooms available online. We went to the hotel to confirm that in person as well and we were told that there were in fact 8 rooms available. Great. We booked a few hours before checkin time and got confirmation. Great. We took off for the day and came back later than evening to do our check in. We got a room and it was dirty. Hairs were found all over the place and the bathroom/tub was dirty too. We told reception and they immediately got us another room. We got to the other room, same thing but not quite as bad, except for a few stains on one of the beds. We were glad to get a room with two beds at least. The reception team were sort of apathetic to our complaints. For breakfast the next day, everything was great. Food was excellent and staff were friendly and cordial.

Hotel was clean. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was really good. Parking is hard to find a spot when you arrive late a night and you may have to park on the other side of hotel. Location was perfect with a beautiful walking trail along the beach. Felt very calming area after a busy day in the city. Will stay here again the next time we are in PEI

DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY! Dog barking in next room all night. Night Clerk unwilling/unable to do anything about it. Woman screaming in the room across the hall. Police finally called by front desk to respond to the disturbance. Would have had a better night's sleep at the SPCA.

Summerside, is very quiet though and not many options for great dining and especially not many after 8pm.

We stopped at Loyalist for just one night. It was nice and quiet and we were able to walk to multiple restaurants. Overall a nice stay.

It's a 3-star hotel, cheapest rooms on the Island at the time, so expectations are fairly low, but still... there is mould in the bathroom and the bottles of shower soap were empty. They brought the refills when asked but this should be done during regular cleaning of the bathroom which always makes me wonder how clean it is. Other than that the room was fine.

Building is outdated. Elevator was smell bad. Shower faucet is hard to pull out for shower. Other facilities in the room are old and needed to be fixed. We booked king bed ocean view and got the room on third floor can really see all ocean view. An other disadvantage added is the lights in harbour very bright so we need to close the curtain at night and morning. Breakfast was OK. I would not return because of the smell
