The hotel failed to inform of events taking place in the hotel. The hotel was overrun by noisy children who were allowed to run around screaming and shouting through the hotel unchecked. Bistro and restaurant booked up. No food options nearby. Very unpleasant stay.

Staff were very accommodating, courteous, capable, and friendly.

Located in the countryside thIs is an amazing hotel. The rooms are spacious and the hotel has spa, restaurants and pubs. Highly recommended.

This is a wedding venue. The food reminded me of a casino. It’s not conveniently located and has no shuttle into town. The grounds were overgrown and there was a lot of dog poop on the walking path which is only a ring around the cow pastures. The place was overrun with school children and wedding guests. Our room was neither well appointed nor clean. The beds were saggy and soft. This place was expensive!

They host a lot of weddings and events. We noticed a lot of serving equipment and decor sitting in the hallway as you walked up the stairway to go to the rooms. They do not have an elevator, so it is tough going to get heavy suitcases up stairs. They do have a walking trail and petting zoo behind the property.

It was ok staff didn't know what's going on. Not friendly at check in not even a welcome. Could not order foid to my froom tried a few times...just not organized. Mabe too busy and stressed staff. Anyway not worth paying 200 to stay in a hotel that should be charging 80

Very friendly family run hotel, clean, staff helpful, lots of activities for kids. The only slightly negative feedback was meal service was slow, most likely due to the hotel changing it’s mealtime policies to ensure staff and guest safety during pandemic. Nevertheless, we had a great stay here (kids loved the hotel) and will definitely return. Many thanks to all at this hotel - we look forward to seeing you again.

I was forced into a basic room because I was not able to self-isolate prior to my arrival. The management and staff were very accommodating given the current state of Covid

I have stayed at this hotels several times, and it never disappoints! The Woodlands is beautiful, service and staff are great.

It was so relaxed, bed was amazing to sleep in. Overall, i really enjoyed the short stay.

We stayed at this property for 2 nights and were very disappointed. We paid a premium price and assumed that this would be a premium hotel. Before booking we had looked at pictures of the spa and it looked great. What we observed was totally different though. The spa needs pre booking (not just for treatments). As soon as I realised this I called the spa from our room telephone. There was no answer therefore I left a voicemail requesting a call back which never occurred. After a couple of hours I walked to the spa and was told they were fully booked for the whole weekend. We had to make do with access to the fitness centre which contained a sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and swimming pool. The fitness centre was dreadful and wasn’t at all what you’d expect from a 4 star property. The room that contained the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi was old and in bad need of repair. It looked like it hadn’t been painted in 20 years. The jacuzzi itself had multiple yellow stains which was off putting. Beside the jacuzzi there was an electrical unit that was exposed and looked dangerous. The steam room was noisy and had a bad smell. I didn’t try the sauna as the other experiences were so bad. The pool was fine and was a nice temperature. My girlfriend had a hair appointment in the salon and returned quite upset after extremely rude remarks were made by staff. Overall a terrible experience. What was planned as a relaxing weekend turned into a nightmare. We won’t be back!

Dirty hotel with very bad service and no amenities; in the middle of nowhere. There was no air conditioning in the rooms, no safe, not even a toilet paper holder even in the superior room! The restaurant had a filthy smell. The tables had plastic tablecloth! The food was awful. Yes the spa was nice but nothing was available.

This is a lovely hotel, I was sorry only to be staying one night. Check in was very efficient and the room was lovely. Bathroom was a little 'tired ' but spotless. Dinner in the bistro and breakfast were both well cooked and tasty. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We booked two double rooms for our family when we attended a family wedding there recently.

The hotel was family freindy. The leisure centre was excellent. The hotel room was very comfortable.

Staff was very polite and friendly. Hotel was very comfortable. Breakfast buffet was delicious. Location was not within walking distance of Adare but taxis could be hailed very quickly-we even got a ride back to hotel at midnight.
