Very good hotel in a convenient location. Car parking good with reasonable size spaces. Room clean, only downside for me is the sliding glass door for the bathroom, other than that very good.

Really nice hotel in quiet area

We stayed at this hotel for one night and couldn’t fault it. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The decor of the hotel was super , all based on the work of Jules Verne. The room was clean,the bed comfortable and the wifi good. There were lots of nice touches like the provision of a glass carafe of water which could be refilled from the machine in reception so reducing single use plastic waste. The hotel offer an express breakfast for people like us who want to be away early. It’s within easy walking distance of the town. The parking is secure and you can reserve a parking space. If we ever found ourselves in Biarritz again, we would definitely stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it.

Wonderful hotel just a short walk from the centre. Comfortable and compact rooms, wonderful staff and great little gym. The express breakfast was great!

The striking quality of hotel is the Staff. They are quite outstanding. All very friendly and helpful. A uniform standard like this at the height and towards of the tourist season is incredibly impressive. The facilities are spotlessly clean and well maintained. We extended our stay.

Good location approximately 10 minutes from beach and centre of Biarritz. Clean room and nice pool. It would be nice if they served drinks/snacks in pool area although drinks can be obtained from inside hotel.

Rooms and bathroom are tiny. Otherwise, an average hotel. The first words by the 2 ladies at the front desk when I showed up to check in were “Check in is at 3pm”. No hello, no welcome. We waited in the lobby until 3pm to check in.

Was just ok. Room was not ready at 2:20pm. Receptionist just repeats that room is not ready without even checking with housekeeping first and although official check in is at 3, they could do better to have rooms ready a little earlier. Asked for a quiet room, got the one facing the road and it was not quite. Rooms are also very small although updated and nicely decorated. Wouldn’t recommend and would look elsewhere

I stayed a week and was very comfortable. Very quiet with black out curtains. I walk a lot and the location was great. It was a 10 - 15 minute easy walk to the beach. Many eating options close by and within walking distance further down in the town. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I’d stay there again!

The room looked fine but it really stunk and the AC didn’t really work. It was so hot we couldn’t wait to get out.

I loved this hotel: simple and modern. Rooms are very comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff at the front desk. However, the front desk may benefit from having more than one person helping customers to reduce the waiting time.

Lovely place, but rooms are very small... Too small. Pool area very good and very private, staff are lovely. Its very clean also and location is good as a 10 minute walk downhill to centre. Supermarket is around the corner. Unfortunate room was tiny.

We found the Karitza to be a great hotel to stay at to visit Biarritz. The hotels best attribute is the staff, who were always friendly and very helpful whenever we needed anything. The hotel is kept clean and tidy, including our bedroom. I found our bedroom to be a little on the small side, we struggled with room to put two suitcases; but for the price I paid I can’t really complain. The bedroom is well appointed with the usual TV, tea & coffee making facilities, hairdryer, and a good number of clothes hangers. The bed was really comfortable, I slept so well. The bathroom was clean, was of an adequate size and everything worked well. Air conditioning was also perfect. We only used the restaurant for breakfast one morning; for continental breakfast there is lots of choice, but I found the English type of cooked food to be minimal; there were bacon, baked beans & a self cook egg boiler pan, that probably needed a bit more water and turning up a little to work well, it’s a good idea but I’m a bit useless in the mornings and took me about 3 visits to manage to cook an egg. Overall the breakfast was good but I thought 14 euros each is a little expensive. The hotel has car parking which you need to telephone them to prebook ahead of your stay; which we did, it cost 13 euros/day which I think is fine. Overall we liked the Karitza, and thought that all staff were excellent, efficient, helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay again.

We have not stayed in Biarritz before and did not know much about it. We chose this hotel because we wanted to be a little away from the centre. It takes about 10 minutes to walk down hill to the main street and about 15 minutes to walk back up the hill. It is not a new building but the rooms looked as if they had been recently refurbished. The bathroom was small but in good condition and everything worked. When we arrived there were two Nespresso pods provided with the machine but when we had used them they were not replaced so we had no coffee in the room for two days. The bedroom was a little eccentric, a very large desk under the window left little room for cases,; two chairs for the desk but no room between the bed and the desk to allow for the chair to be pulled out any distance. One of the smallest rooms we have found in France but nicely decorated and perfectly clean. Miniscule hanging space and no storage meant we felt a bit cramped. Breakfast good but not outstanding, decent buffet but poor coffee. Nice garden with a decent swimming pool, underground parking and a good standard of decor with some stylish touches.The staff were friendly and helpful but sometimes the desk was not manned. The hotel hosts functions and this means that tourists can be in the minority. We would consider staying here again because it is good value for money but it has a few compromises.

Tiny room (Comfort), even smaller shower. However, nicely decorated and helpful staff. Excellent pool area. Slightly out of the best areas or Biarritz but quiet and walkable in 7-15mins depending on the area of town/beaches you want to visit.
