We've been to many hotels but this was the WORST hotel ever!!!! We gave our passport and other valuable items to the receptionist to put it in the safety box which was at the reception because they don't have them in the hotel rooms. The next day during check-out there was another receptionist when we wanted to take out stuff and SHE DID NOT KNOW THE CODE and our nightmare began. The manager and the hotel director was not there and when she called them they did not care!!! The receptionist said her collegue went to vacation and that they don't know the code except for her (who didn't answer the phone!!) After several hours, the RUDE and CARELESS receptionist called a technician to open the safety box which that too took several hours. The receptionist was eating, talking on the phone and having fun not caring about the fact that we were stuck there with our items!!!! The worst part was not hearing an apology from the manager nor the director of the hotel. Oh, and there was no Air conditioner in the rooms either

Great hotel in the city center. Walkable to lots of things. Service was great! We had to leave early before breakfast hours so they got breakfast ready two hours early just for us! Very sweet and thoughtful staff.

Great central location for exploring beautiful Caen, with L'Abbaye aux Hommes <10 minute walk. The staff is courteous, the bed is comfy and the breakfast options are good. Lots of noise from the street/bars throughout the night of our stay but that's not the hotel's fault.

I stayed this hotel for 4-days due to my business. First, I found this hotel was no air conditioner. A hotel guy said me "Open windows". Eventually, he gave me small fan (like USB-powered). And at night, suddenly residents around the hotel began thier party from 2 AM. Of course, I called the reception to quit the party. Finally, I request calling the police to stop the noise. 2-day happened during 4-day stay. The hotel guy did not check the surrounding during the night. I was nightmare. The quality of breakfast was very so so. And shower room is very narrow and splashing

Bed takes up entire room. Silly, plastic side table. Provided a single tube of soap intended for washing, shampoo and conditioning.

Very close to everything, very clean, medium size room, modern and updated. I would come back without hesitation.

Very comfortable, clean and efficient. Very good breakfast, I liked having fresh fruit and real bread. Could have had a better bar facility.

The facilities were as expected & the room was quitesmall.External noise at 5.00am.Reception said we hadnt paid & I had to get the documents to prove it, also didnt know what breakfasts wed had.

I went away with three friends and we had two twin rooms. The rooms are small but functional with a little bathroom that had a shower only. There is no bar in this hotel and it only does breakfast but that is of a good standard with fresh bread, jams, meats, cheese and loads of coffee. The hotel is right in the middle of town and there is an underground car park next door that does not charge a lot. Loads of bars and restaurants surround the hotel and for the price of a room, you cant really complain. If you want romantic, fancy and mod cons, go elsewhere. If you want basic and value with a breakfast, this is your place.

Two nights here whilst we explored the area. Not the easiest place to find in a car on a Saturday afternoon. The two people in reception both pleasant and helpful. The room a bit small and had no tea making facilities. For the price it was brilliant value. Would recommend it.

Wed just got off the ferry from Portsmouth and it was late. The last thing we needed was a long drive so this Ibis in Caen was the ideal place. In the city centre, we quickly found and it and were dealt with quickly and efficiently by the hotel reception staff. In the room and French rugby on the TV (great), we settled down and had a good nights sleep and were refreshed the next morning for the start of our holiday. The breakfast at the hotel was tasty and the restaurant was clean. All in all a very nice stay albeit short.

Easy to find interesting area and easy access to ferry port.
