It was nice and quiet place to stay at

Amazing staff

Conveniently located near the freeway, restaurants, and numerous shops. Offers complimentary breakfast every morning.

It was good enough for what it was. I was in San Diego for work, so I didn't spend much time at the hotel other than to sleep and grab a quick bite to eat before heading out in the morning. The staff was friendly and my room was clean. There were a ton of food options near by.

Are stay was amazing. From front desk to breakfast service. We didn’t lack anything. Breakfast was really good. Thank you, hopefully we will visit Newport Beach soon.

The staff was welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. The room was clean and upto date. Breakfast in the morning was fresh and hot. We will be back as family lives nearby.

Very clean and well kept. That was very important. Will consider this a stay option again in the future.

It was a great place for our soccer team and their families...the breakfast is an added plus!

Pool dirty

I booked a king bed. When we arrived they told me no king beds available. I cancelled the room and found another hotel nearby. They told me I would not receive a refund and I had to call Expedia, etc. they still have my money and won’t give it back.

Nowhere to park, even though I had to pay for it. We love holiday inn express, a lot because of the breakfast, but they didn't even have the cinnamon rolls.

Great room, and cleanliness was a 10. Wish breakfast on Sundays was until 12 but other than that I will stay again

All staff are friendly, very polite and professional. Special shout out to , “ISABEL”, very nice person and service @breakfast is Excellent.

Service

Upon arrival we were greeted by Mazyar in front desk. He treated us with respect and dignity. He explained everything about the hotel. He let us to select the room and floor. He even moved his own car to provide us the parking spot. Warm free breakfast and coffee were great. Recommend to everyone.

The Holiday Inn Express was nice. Our room was very clean. Everything seemed fairly new. Hot water in the bathroom, refrigerator, microwave, drainage worked great. Housekeeping was excellent in our room. I did think the hallway needed vacuumed, but overall our 2 night stay was good. Decent price too. Breakfast was included, not amazing but decent. I’d come back and stay there. We were in town for SurfCup soccer. Good proximity to Del Mar Polo fields and the neighborhood and parking lot felt safe too.

Best hotel

Hotel shows it's wear a bit, but nice place to stay. Staff are friendly and helpful, though sometimes if there are a lot of guests at once long line at reception. Breakfast seating is not large. All in all, I would stay again location is nice and staff are good! Parking is 10/day, but I guess thats the norm here... Kinda crazy to me but it is what it is.

Room was clean with no moldy smells. The only problem was no food was ready for people ready for breakfast. One person in trying to get food out for a room full of people. But location and parking was good.

The room was not very clean and hard to find staff

Its a long one. So i booked the room for friday night at around 2am. I called the hotel around 8am to confirm the booking. The front desk guy was really rude. I told him i was traveling from sac to san diego. And requesting a eqrly checkin. I told him that it will be around 12pm. I just want to freshan up after 8 hours drive. Pretty sure they woupd have something available. I tild him i have 2 kids with me too. He was really rude and said that they were having some computer issue. Ok i get it. I k ow there was some technical issue all around CA. But he could have be a little more gentle when talking to customers. I checked in after 4pm. And the lady at th3 desk wqs really nice. I did not mentioned anything to her as we were all tired.

Staff was absolutely kind and courteous. My only issue was that the room seemed damp though the pool was outside the hotel and we were on the 3rd floor. Also it seemed a bit dated though remodeled. The bathroom had unpleasant stinch. Breakfast was included and staff was very kind.

Facilities and room were clean. My comment is about breakfast. This is a request to not serve watery eggs.

Room was really clean and bed was comfortable and pillows as well

Very clean. Very nice staff from the front desk to the cleaning ladies. We had an issue with the pool gate and at 2000 the maintenance man was working on it. Breakfast was good and gym worked. Very good restaurants walking distance.

Staff weren’t friendly. Room was not cleaned when check in, staff gave a hard time when requested to be cleaned due second guess was not on the register even though room reserved for two people. Overall experience was okay.

Staffs are super friendly ,approachable , diligent and efficient..Specially the front desk lady name Amy, she is a doll..,who always got ears to listen to your querries .
