Room look nice but the smell was horrendously musty and the carpet felt damp on feet. Gross!

There was a noticeable musty smell upon entry of room. Dust on bottom of coffee table, hand grab in shower was loose

Room stinks, horrible service, dirty, lights don’t work, Kleenex empty, tv didn’t work. None of this fixed except provided a box of Kleenex. Never stay at an AmericInn again. And never book anything with Expedia again. Makes situations like this impossible to resolve in any sort of reasonable or timely manner if ever.

The place is very well maintained and operated. The staff is very helpful and available. My stay was relaxing and hassle free. I recommend to anyone staying in Albert Lea or area.

Location was right off I-90. Easy access. Hy-Vee grocery store and McDonald's walking distance. Kwik-Trip across the street. Our rooms were extremely humid, so much so that we all ( 4 rooms in our party) had to set A/C at 67 in order for carpet to not feel damp and then wear jackets to not freeze in the room. Besides the musty damp room, the staff was very nice and breakfast was usual fare for AmericInn.

The staff was great. The room had a funky smell. Maybe the ac filter needed to be cleaned.

Nice location

It had a pool and hot tub. Two floors but no elevator. The stay was fine. I probably would not stay again.

My only complaint is the electrical outlets would not hold a plug. The plugs would come loose and stop working. I had the move the nightstand to find an electrical outlet to use my CPAP machine. Otherwise the stay was just great.

Everything was very good. Only small limitations: bed mattress was a little bowed and no freezer section in refrigerator. Staff, pool, hot tub, breakfast, access, parking...all excellent and very good value for cost.

I made my online reservation at 2 PM. I arrived a little after three. They told me because they were so busy the night before they had no rooms available yet. It would be 30 minutes. Three groups of people came in after me they were all told the same thing it varying times. I did not get my room until 4:30 PM. I tried to cancel, but I can only go through Expedia and they would not allow me to cancel. I will not use Expedia ever again.

Our stay was amazing. Very accommodating and comfortable stay.

The front desk individual was very helpful; I inadvertently booked our room for the wrong night and he quickly changed the date to accommodate us without penalty. Service like this is why we stop here every time we’re on a road trip. It’s convenient, comfortable, and fantastic staff.

The staff was very accommodating. Which I appreciate. The pool was sparkling clean. The grounds are filthy. The interior is filthy. My bed spread had a giant blood stain on it, the carpets need shampooing. There were nail clippings on the floor, dried poop in the toilet, and mold in the shower…will not return.

Paid for whirlpool room and couldn’t use it because it was dirty

serviceable stop over for a limited visit. rooms could definitely use some TLC. found a couple long hairs in the bed, and a small piece of cheese on the floor.

It was a nice overall experience- staff is really nice and accommodating.

The area: Albert Lea is a pretty quiet town and my stay at AmericInn was no different. There isn't much to do in Albert Lea, especially before 11am. Most shops are closed on Sundays and with many businesses shut down or moved out that doesn't leave much to do on weekends besides walking. The nearby mall is like stepping into a time machine, somewhere between 1985 to 1994. It's a bittersweet feeling walking through this mall. The empty gated off shops with old arcade rides, games, and outdated building interior, and even the smell reminded me of my childhood in the 90's. Believe me, if you go there you'll understand. It was actually pretty comforting. We visited during a very windy weekend so we stayed at the motel most of the time aside from driving around the historic downtown area. The lake trails and state park would have been nice but unfortunately the heavy 30mph winds and rain would not have allowed us. The Motel: At the hotel there was a birthday party with a big family in the pool area but very friendly. They even gave us a whole pizza. The staff were very friendly on all shifts especially the general manager. The pool and spa area is very spacious and great for families. The breakfast/lobby area is very clean. My only complaint is that I would have like to had a more thick blanket or comforter as the standard one is quite thin. Maybe this is an AmericInn thing but overall the stay was very nice if you're looking for solitude away from the big cities.

The AC plugs outside for EV vehicles was a nice convenience. I like the boss lady's snarkiness :-) she's a blast to talk to.

Best value hotel in the area. Has everything we are looking for as we continue our road trip. Clean. Good staff.
