Staff friendly. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast. Parking is very limited with valet.

RESERVATIONS were NOT kept we reserved a king in July for September test since we arrived late they told us that they no longer had any Kings available because I checked in late When I I showed them my communication with them informing them that I would be coming late then they said sorry but they were Overbooked. Room was 2 queens and no price difference. Room was cleaned but someone had smoked there previously even though it was a non smoking room so it smelled

The receptionist was quie unattentive - she seemed annoyed we were there & stopped checking us in part way to deal with other guests. Our room was a good size & had everything we needed. I would have rated it higher except we got very little sleep which isn't what you want the day before an early morning/long flight. The bed wasn't hugely comfy and the pillows were rock hard. The main reason for the lack of sleep though was the noise from the corridor/adjoining rooms/elevator and ice machine. All of the above kept us awake on and off all night. There is not enough sound proofing, so a good night's sleep is just not possible. Perhaps in a room not near the elevator/ice machine if you don't have loud neighbours and people basically having a party in the corridor you might be ok, but otherwise plan on getting interrupted sleep at best.

there is no security box for belongings. the room smells Bad. nad we where unable to request transportation from airport, we called for support without answer. too much light on the room.

They are very understaffed. No one answers the phone. We asked for water they said only two per room even though it’s 4 people staying in the room. But the worst part the shuttle driver was very aggressive and not pleasant at all. He refused to pick us up inside hotel property. We had to go outside in the street in the rain to board the bus. Then he drove into the hotel after we boarded. Really ridiculous. For someone that works for the hotel. Will surely not waste my money there again.

Good place to stay for a night close to the airport. It was disappointing that we couldn’t get through to their contact phone to request a ride from the airport. Finally, their van arrived, and we were able to get our ride to the hotel.

We've stayed at many Hampton Inns and generally been pleased. This one was very disappointing. Needs renovation badly -- paint, new carpet, etc. We certainly would not stay there again with the way it is.

Parking nightmare- no prior notice that parking would have to be valet. Had disabled family member with me.

While checking in the "SHUTTLE BUS" which was in front of me had to BACK OUT OF THE DRIVEWAY, which meant I had to BACK UP INTO THE STREET before unloading our luggage. Very poor entrance set up.We ended up parking a block away and dragging our luggage in the heat, making 2 trips, because we wanted no part of the front entrance again. UNACCEPTABLE.. The TV didn't work right even after a hotel worker tried to fix it. (Most stations had either a very weak of no signal.) That said, the room was nice, breakfast good, shuttle bus worked well, staff was nice street parking available.

Hotel near the JFK Airport

It is in a small area and there is no onsite parking, only valet. That wasn't an issue with us. We were able to leave the car for 10 minutes while we unloaded. The free shuttle to JFK airport was great. The staff were friendly. The room was clean and exactly what we needed. There isn't much around the hotel to explore, but if you just need a place to stay the night before you are flying out of JFK, this is the place you want.

Late flight so late check in. Receptionist was very welcoming and very helpful. Nice big room with really good amenities like a fridge to keep all your food and drinks cool. Family welcoming and would recommend to anyone. Small selection for breakfast but very tasty. Love the coffee. A great place to bounce from to and from airport. Will be coming back when we next visit New York next summer.

Nice room, staff was great.

All staff throughout the facility were friendly and always smiling. Food was good, room was very comfortable, and areas within the hotel were clean. Definitely will stay at this location on my next visit.

Place was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good too. However, it is not soundproof and we experienced yelling and listening to someone upstairs all night. Also, it is not clear thar the airport shuttle has to be reserved, so we ended up getting a alyft so we didn't have to wait 40 minutes to get back to the airport.

Everything was great, there was just a lot of construction around the hotel.

The location was convenient to the airport but other than that it was a pretty average hotel. There really isn't any reason to stay here except for sleeping between flights.

I stood here for the night, but I was able to rest from a long flight. Convenient location.

I was carrying a paper cup of hot coffee to my ninth-floor room. Upon entering the elevator, the door prematurely closed, rather swiftly as I recall, rudely bumping my coffee arm, spilling coffee onto the elevator floor and one leg of my cream-colored linen trousers from waistband to knee. As I was only planning to stay one night at the airport to pick up my wife the following early morning, I traveled lightly, carrying only a backpack. The trousers I wore were the only trousers I had with me. I thought I could rinse them out in the room, and dry them in the hotel laundry room. I called the front desk to ask where the laundry room was, and was surprised surprised to be informed that there was no laundry service of any kind in the hotel. The front desk advised I should try using a hair dryer, but the soakage of the trousers was too extreme. I managed to find a steam iron in the room's closet, along with a foldable ironing board. Fortunately, I had plenty of time to spare. After an hour with the iron and my wet trousers, the pants were as good as new. I was aided in my laundry experience by maintenance man Paolo, who showed me how to turn off the AC (it was a hot day in Queens) and where to safely plug in the iron. Thank you Hampton Inn for providing me with an amusing, although potentially disastrous experience. The coffee, by the way, was otherwide quite good.

Simply amazing check-in process. I've never had it more efficient, pleasant, helpful and perfect.
