Most remarkable hotel I ever stayed in ! Cause is highly unlikely to sleep in the midle of the winter in a Deluxe grand room (350€) in a 5 star hotel (who granted them ?) without heating (not bad heating but total lack of heating). And even more remarkable with the hotel manager’s complete knowledge of the situation!!! Would I recommend it ? With certainty and with all my heart…but only on the first of April.

This hotel is amazing. One of the most memorable we have stayed at in Europe. Awesome views of the German countryside and the Rhine. Excellent dining as well

Old style elegance! Lovely room with great bathroom. Excellent location on top of a mountain with great view over the river Rhine. Great food! Several choices of restaurants, including Michelin star! If you visit this area, this is the place to stay!

Wonderful hotel with excellent food and service and a to-die-for location

Nice hotel but during COVID pandemic they are not up to speed what you would normally expect from a 5 Star Hotel. Order room service (since restaurants are closed - which is COVID related and nothing they can do about) but the soup arrived cold and the club sandwich was ok but not especial and the Schnitzel was below average but I was hungry so did eat it. Again no problem but not what you expect from 5 Star Hotel. We where only 5 hotel guests in total and asked for a room with a view - that request was denied... ??? They also managed to mess up my bill so I paid the room service of another person (did not check at checkout since the amount was more or less what I consumed so I guess all was good...) Breakfast was very slow but good. I can understand why the hotel is cutting on staff ect... but then I would rather close it (like many other 5 Star Hotels did) and not run a poorly managed 5 Star hotel since I will never come back here since it was not worth the money and the management did not make any effort to make our stay better (room with a view) or great room service food... Again I am sure this is a great hotel normally but right now they are not making the best out of this situation...

Nice quiet place, nice swimming pool. Perfect for a weekend.

Amazing hotel overall. Beautifully renovated. Great views. Service could be better. Main issue that NEEDS to be addressed: hotel guests should be able to access the hotel late at night with their room card and not by tracking down someone at the reception to let them in! (Especially since the reception bell outside the main entrance was not working!)

Hotel is great, staff friendly. Some smaller remarks like pool area is quite small and could be maintained better, no extra mile in customer service but all in all a good experience and we’ll be back for sure.

Our room wasn’t ready until 40 minutes after check-in, but the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! I definitely recommend staying here! Be sure to check out the gorgeous view of the town and river. We will be back!

The place sits on a mountain which overlooks the city, it’s absolutely gorgeous.

Amazing view!!

This hotel certainly lives up to the title grand hotel. Its beautiful and the rooms re nice but the view to wake up to is amazing. The grounds are lovely for an early morning stroll. If your looking for a centre of town hotel this isn’t the one, but if your looking for somewhere special to stay this is for you. Oh and the views at dinner are special. As a side not, the wifi was reliable and strong. We wouldn’t stay anywhere else in this area.

No internet in the room. The bar was closed for manteniance. The restuarant was half closed.

This was the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. The history of the place, combined with the outstanding staff and the amenities of a superbly appointed hotel make this a place we will definitely return to when in Germany.

AWAY FROM THE HUSTLE BUSTLE OF TOWN, CLOSE TO RHINE FOR SHORT AND LONG CRUISES. FEW GOOD CAFE AND RESTAURANTS. VERY GOOD HOTEL WITH EXCELLENT FACILITIES AND VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF. BREATH TAKING SURROUNDING VIEWS AND WALKS.

A brief night's stay wasn't enough to fully enjoy the location but the views from the terrace restaurant were absolutely stunning. We skipped breakfast as after having dined quite late we didn't think we would do justice to it at 26 Euros per head !! Just a little bit pricey perhaps.

This German Chateau was amazing and we hope to stay there again.

Lovely hotel in a very unique setting high above the Rhine with spectacular views. Room was very good size, very clean, modern but classy. Overall the hotel is expensive but you expect that given the location and quality. We enjoyed our stay but would mention three issue points: 1) The hotel is quite isolated but on arrival we could not get booked for dinner. This was a major shock. However, eventually we were offered a table at a time which was suitable. Dinner was very good. 2) If the restaurant is full you cannot eat in the hotel Bistro as this closes at 6.30 pm. This seems silly and I would have thought the bistro could be used for simpler meals/young families.3) There had been a little morning rain although by the afternoon it was a lovely warm sunny day. We asked for tea on the Bistro terrace to enjoy the wonderful view but were told this was not possible as the terrace was closed by management order due to the wet. This was ridiculous as it was now very warm and dry and if a guest asks for tea on the terrace then that's what they should get. Management should address. However, in overall terms a very nice stay.

Lovely stay, nice staff, great setting. Palace nearby was good to visit.

The hotel is located at a beautiful location on top of a private hill and has an English speaking staff. My only concern was the renovation they were doing left a smell of paint everywhere. The restaurant had a great menu though we did not try it out and breakfast was found in a neighboring town bakery thanks to the hotels 26 euro a person price.

WOW! Everything was PERFECT! The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the bathroom was nice, the staff was friendly, the view was fabulous, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was the best and the pool and spa area were so nice. MUST SEE!!!!

The Steinberger Grandhotel is an excellent hotel in a magnificent setting overlooking the Rhein Valley. The staff were welcoming, friendly and the hotel grand and really well done. The rooms (non suite) are massive and easily feel like a suite in any other hotel. We will return, and am looking forward to it already.

A wonderful hotel overlooking the Rhein. They have an exchange program with Canadian Universities for their wait staff which was wonderful for all involved. The hotel was a pleasant respite from staying in European business class hotels. We would definitely go back for a longer stay. Also has a wonderful ballroom and would be a fantastic destination wedding location and a wonderful site for business conferences.

This hotel is on the top of a high hill over looking the Rhine and Bonn. If you want to walk the city not your hotel but if your looking for a top notch hotel with absolutely tons of character, excellent service and rooms, and breathtaking views this is the hotel. Beats the chain hotels by miles. Room and service were spectacular. As said earlier you cant walk to the city but short 15 minute cab ride most of it going doing the hill but it is worth it.
