The tables were dirty in restaurant and it smells of chip fat. They charge £15 a curry which has come straight out of a microwave on to your table within minutes. We booked here to visit peppa pig world but wouldn’t book again. Room also smells like bad drains

Hotel stay was ok for the night before our cruise but the whole room felt quite dated and stuffy.
Bar tender was quite rude, not interested in providing great service, rather swearing and chatting with friends.

Room was good, check in a little slower than ideal. Some areas of the hotel are in need of repair, cleanliness generally ok but lacking attention to detail in some areas. Breakfast was ok, suggest finding a solution to having plates warm as hot items get cold very quickly. Appreciate it was half term, but kids woke me up, screaming and running up and down the corridor in the early morning so did not sleep very well during my stay.

Overall great hotel especially if you have kids rooms clean spacious bed not so comfortable for me but saying that hubby said it was fine. Food reasonable price good amount and tasty breakfast was complimentary and very nice. Would stay again definitely

Hotel was very busy and we found it difficult to find a parking space. The breakfast session was dreadful it was so busy it was unreal, queues everywhere and staff had to rush around to clear tables and stock up. In all the times I’ve stayed in hotels this was the busiest I had ever seen. It was the Southampton boat show week so this is probably why. Hotel was very clean and staff friendly. We had to leave early due to an emergency so disappointed we only got a refund of £50 when we paid £300.
Overall the holiday inn are pretty decent hotels and you can expect clean and also friendly staff. Use them all the time.

Having previously stayed at this hotel and being very happy with our stay, we are sad to give it a lesser review on this occasion. This was due to not being able he eat in the restaurant. It was not late, the restaurant appeared to be busy but not all tables were taken. When we went to order, they said that food orders would be at least 2 hours - which was ridiculous as this would have taken it to past the time the restaurant closes/stops taking orders!!!!!!?? To eat, we had to drive around the area for approx 30+ mins looking for a place to eat. We eventually found a pub. Sadly it really spoilt our stay 😞

The parking situation was terrible, no parking spaces available and cars parked everywhere.
Also found it very odd that a cot and spare bed had all been set up in my room (solo business traveller) making it very difficult to draw the curtains and impossible to sit at the desk to work

Clean spacious room and bathroom, best sleep of my holiday in super comfy bed with crisp white linen and 4 fluffy pillows. Bathroom towels are nice and big. Excellent breakfast. Friendly efficient staff.

The carpets were really dirty and seemed like it had never been cleaned properly for a while.
The whole room smelled like wet dog. When i informed the receptionist i got told this is a dog friendly hotel and the dogs stay on 1st floor but we were on the second floor and wasnt very helpful. Would never recommend this hotel.

Great location for one nights stay before a cruise. Unfortunately we struggled to park the car due to no spaces, bed was uncomfortable and every time hubby turned over I felt like I was on a trampoline. Breakfast room too busy.

Very nice hotel and great breakfast facilities. Staff were really helpful. We needed to use the sofa bed and a travel cot and so it was really difficult to walk around the room but it was fine for 1 night.

Everthing just felt a bit dated. Shower tiny by todays standards. Also a 12 and 9 year old brother and sister expected to share a sofa bed. We took an inflatable bed knowing it was a sofa bed however there was room for it.

Gone downhill. Smokers outside the front door. Very limited parking. Had to park under trees and was told it would be covered in bird poo by the morning!!! Virtually no lighting in the room. Tatty worn out bathrooms. Had to sleep in a small double bed with a worn out mattress. Not a good start to my holiday!

Having stayed in this hotel 4 times in the last few weeks this was the worst room we had. The carpet looked in need of changing and the decor is very tired. We couldn’t get into our room when we arrived as the key cards didn’t work. We had to sit around waiting for a maintenance man to come to fix the mechanism. The general service and staff were very good.

I liked this hotel very much, it was beautifully clean and modern. The breakfast was excellent. Perfect location if you are at the ageas bowl. A bigger bed would’ve made it perfect.

Stayed many times, all seasons, excellent overall. Lots of parking, easy and friendly checkin, always accomodating to requests, comfy room with lovely beds/pillows. Breakfast spread good but can get busy. Access just 5 mins from M27 motorway. 5 star stay.
