VERY FRUSTRATING EXPERIENCE TRYING TO FIND THE LOBBY FOR CHECK IN.

We have driven past it and loved the charm of the building and the photographs of the lake views. We booked a Premium Room, Lake View for Thursday and Friday nights.
The hotel looked to be full on Friday, but had space on Thursday. It was quiet and private, despite the fact that the entrance to the rooms was from an outside walkway facing the parking lot. The restaurant has limited evening hours and the gnats make it hard to sit outside for any length of time, so noise didn't come up from the outside dining area.
The room has a mini fridge, a bathrobe (just one), an in-room safe, 4 seats and a dresser in addition to the very comfortable king size bed with night stands. There is good lighting in the room and the chandelier is dimmable. The outside lights stay on all night, so the black out drapes are great. The lights unfortunately draw the gnats all night long, so the outside seating isn't a great experience.
The room itself was spacious and has views out to the north and east. The lake view captured at sunrise is spectacular.
Unfortunately, the room and the hotel look like they need an update. The carpet and fabrics are old and worn. The pillowcase in our room was ripped, the upholstery is worn, the carpet is tired, and the pool cushions were torn at the corners. The entry door had a gap at the bottom that was probably an inch and a half and I could see straight through to outside.

This hotel was excellent. The hotel has fantastic views of the water. The hotel's location is near anything you could need. We will be staying there again.

Nice romantic stay. Beautiful view of the lake. The bed was very comfortable. I have to come back when it’s not so hot so I can leave the sliding door open. I would stay here again.

Was excited to try this place for a long weekend. I had high hopes based on photos. However I felt like this property was understaffed. There was also a lot bugs in the room. We saw several spiders, cockroaches , earwigs etc. probably because it’s right by the lake. Underneath the bed was very dirty with cobwebs. So you can tell they don’t clean underneath properly. The outdoor patio cushions were dusty and dirty. The restaurant on site, the food was mediocre for the price. The TV in the room was broken. We told them this and they said all the TVs are like that and they have to get around to fixing them. It also would have been nice if they had boats or canoes for guest to have access too. So a bit disappointed and felt like this place could have been magical.

Love this hotel but grounds, including the pool area furniture and grounds furniture need a deep cleaning. Pool gazebos and cushions need to be replaced. Hotel restaurant/catering mgr. didn't return my initial calls and when i finally got ahold of her, she was less than helpful and didn't seem interested in helping make dinner arrangements for a 50th bday party dinner. She finally did reach out to me, after the hotel reached out via email, but it was too late, we’d made arrangements elsewhere.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming , upon arriving they offer champagne very nice gesture. The rooms are nice and comfortable we had a view of the lake very nice the only thing they don't have a elevator but its only two floors . They do have a restaurant and bar but we were so busy we didn't get a chance to try it. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel

I would most definitely stay here again. It’s so cute! I loved how friendly the staff was. And 24 hour pool definitely made it so much better.!

The pool was dirty and the carpet of our room needed a deep cleaning. It stunk like feet. The restaurant also closes really early, which is a little in convenient.

An amazing resort in La Quinta. On the lake, you feel like you are out in the country. Pool and hot tub were crystal clear. On site bar and restaurant were excellent. Staff wad so nice!

Check-in was just ok. Charges had to be reversed since I had paid in advance but was charged at the inn. The Chateau is lovely, the black swans in the lake are beautiful! During its high season when it’s not during a heat wave, the outdoor seating accommodations are nice while enjoying the lake. The restaurant is also a welcome surprise. Location is great & the streets are walker friendly. The only disappointment was the bed. Obviously a little past its prime and did not give way to a comfortable night’s sleep.

Room was good. We were expecting a first floor room but I was told it was not available even after I requested when booking. I called a week ahead to let the property know that we were celebrating an anniversary, they stated they would have a complimentary Champagne at our room but that was not the case. View from the room was great. Room was clean. There were a few minor things that we thought the room needs updating like a mirror in the room, we had to depend on the restroom mirror all the time. Lamps can be updated to have usb plugs. Overall good room, peaceful.

My husband and I have stayed at the Chateau in the past for our anniversary, and loved it so much that we decided to booked 8 rooms this year, for our family and friends to stay the night in, after they attended our 20th anniversary party at the La Quinta Resort, down the street. Everyone was impressed by the lake view, and how beautiful the rooms were appointed. We received nothing but compliments and gratiude for beautiful rooms. We will surely be back.

The room had stains on the carpet, broken curtain, Poor condition of furnishings, burnt out light in chandelier and still did not work when I got a replacement bulb from staff. Bird poop on all seating areas outside. The room’s bathroom was nice. Hotel photos online were misleading as we thought we would get a bathtub in room.

Amazing staff. Beautiful property a slight issue with our reservation (on Hotels.com side) The hotel was a tremendous help. But the Hotels.com not so much. Thanks for a lovely stay.
