We had a wonderful time here. You get a 5 star service with a picturesque view over the lake and a private beach next to a Michelin star restaurant. We will definitely come back.

The location is fantastic as is the outdoor bar for views over the lake at sun down. The rooms are ok but a little dated and we had a particularly noisy a/c.

Hotel had lost its charm. It had become very unremarkable and characterless. As a result it seemed expensive.

We really enjoyed our stay of 3 nights and hope to make it back again in the next few years. The hotel is well situated in Talloires with access to a number of great restaurants within walking distance. The pontoon deck out front is relaxing, though they were understaffed in being able to provide good service. The spa is also a nice touch that you’d typically find in more expensive hotels.

A very comfortable historic hotel on the shores of Lake Annecy. Very good restaurant.

Our stay at the Abbey was pretty nice. The hotel grounds and its location on the lake make it beautiful and picturesque. The room we stayed in was very dated and extremely basic - the furniture was not pleasing to the eye at all and there was zero charm to the room whatsoever. I feel like it was overpriced for the quality of the room but if you’re paying for location then it’s a fair price. Having the private deck on the lake for hotel guests was a nice touch. The breakfast was pretty good with a nice selection although a bit overpriced as well. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. The bed was comfortable but the WiFi was almost non existent. Despite the room being overpriced I would stay here again for the fact that the location is beautiful and peaceful.

As usual it was amazing.

Overall our stay was excellent. Parking is a bit of a tight squeeze. The hotel has lots of character. Food overpriced.

Enjoyed our stay with our dog. Service was good, room comfortable, spa reasonable. Pricey but so is the rest of the area.

Wonderful hotel, wonderful setting. Had a lake view room which was small but stunning. Breakfast was very good but quite pricey but overall the stay was tremendous.

Romantic stay.... lovely!

Staying for a couple of days to visit family. Love L'Abbaye - although it doesn't have an elevator, so not good for those of us who may have physical or age problems! But the staff helped greatly. The hotel is lovely, the paintings and other displays mouth watering, and the location is beyond beautiful.

Beautiful hotel next to the lake. A wonderful restaurant - we had a fantastic walk up the Massif the next day with view of snow capped mountains.

Exceptional friendly staff, rather cordial and very helpful, discrete in the same time. Exceptional amtmosphere of the house, an old monastery. We had a room in the second floor with a wonderful view directly on the Lac d'Annecy.

Fantastic place Location is terrific, right on the little bay of Talloires It is a beautiful old, 16th century, monastery so there is no elevator beware of that if climbing stairs is a problem

The property is situated by the lake. Although there is no swimming pool, guests are allowed to swim in the lake which is crystal clear. Wonderful experience.

We had a wonderful time there staying four night. The staff is very friendly, hotel has amazing charm, the combination of modern and old time spirit. A special thank you to the staff, because my husband left his valet in the lobby full of cash, but he discovered it next morning. The valet was returned to us - we were very happy to find it safe. The lake is warm, even in September, clean and views are beautiful. You need to have a car to drive to the city - 15 min and many beautiful places around the lake, it was wonderful to walk in the city and enjoy food, views and the atmosphere with mountain and many castles. We found the parking very reasonable if you use the whole day around 7-8 euros.The breakfast is 25 euro , but you have buffet and diversity of choices.We would like to come back again and spend more time there

We had a view of the lake from our room- it was fabulous. The room was clean, comfortable, very quiet, and the hotel was beautiful. Staff very helpful. I would stay there again - I want to go back right now!

Hotel staff very friendly and efficient. Room and cleanliness very good. Food excellent with great choice of wines, expertise available to ensure you make the right choice. The views are to die for!

We stayed at this hostelry several times in the 1980's and were pleased to find that relatively little has changed. Talloires, like every place else, has grown more crowded and touristy but L' Abbe is still a fine place to stay. Beautiful view over the lake and swimming from the dock. A room facing the lake is a must.
