I flew to St Pete and had a reservation at LaQuinta by the airport. That was a terrible experience and I couldnt stay there 1 more night.. so when I found south beach had a room on treasure island right on the gulf I was thrilled and jumped on it.. They we very accommodating and knew I was leaving a very bad situation. I was very relieved and we had a perfect rest of the weekend. I will be back!

South Beach has been our go-to place for a number of years. Our latest visit was an absolute pleasure, facility was exceptional and the staff superb. The beach view is stunning.

Just a quick 2 night stay but the property was clean and comfortable. Was surprised at the extras like free chairs and umbrellas, beach towels in the room, a well stocked kitchen and nice washer and dryer.
I would recommend the South Beach!

The view was fantastic and the sunsets spectacular from the balcony or hammock. The walk to the beach is only .15 miles, not bad even if you’re carrying the chairs and umbrellas they provide! The pool wasn’t crowded. It wasn’t luxurious, a little dated, but very comfortable and had everything you could need, including lots of space.
I was sick the whole time I was there so o didn’t get to walk the path that goes in front of all the hotels but that looked great for an early morning walk or bike ride.
The beach was nothing special (and no lifeguard), but it wasn’t crowded and I saw dolphins and manatee in the few hours I was there. The manatee were in knee-deep water!
Can’t say much about the surrounding area, but I was able to DoorDash everything I needed. I’d been staying at the Hyatt in Clearwater and needed a place to recover from COVID for a few days before traveling. The Hyatt was gorgeous but I preferred this for the peace and quiet and view. Front desk was often unattended which I didn’t love (hours are 9-5), but the staff was very nice.

Overall cant complain, great location beach is close. Room and view were great. Kitchen could use more containers/accesories but thats just me. Bed was not very comfy,but good enough for sleep at night only. Not a deal breaker for me, would recommend.

My stay at this condo was nothing short of perfection - truly the best experience I’ve had (and I’ve been coming to this area for many years!!) The condo was immaculate and had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location was superb, with breathtaking views and convenient access to local attractions. The host was very attentive and made the entire process seamless. I didn't want to leave and can't wait to come back. Highly recommend this condo for an unforgettable stay!

This is the second time I've stayed here. Balcony view of the beach and Gulf is great. Front desk was so helpful. Thr kitchen had everything I needed. Would definitely stay here again!

I want to suggest that they need to change the check out time. Normally, tourists wake up late and it is very stressful to check out at 10:00AM. My suggestion is: change the check out to 12:00 P.M.

The property was clean, comfortable, and has easy access to the beach. Check in was easy and the condo was well equipped.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. The location is perfect. Like many of the properties in the area, it is sligtly dated. But unlike many others, it is a true condo, complete with a separate bedroom, full kitchen, and full size washer and dryer. The unit was very clean and comfortable. All of the units face the gulf, so that's a plus. And the staff was extremely friendly. They even allow you to use (free of charge) their collection of beach chairs and umbrellas that have been left by previous guests. We will definitely stay here again!

We had a great stay at South Beach. I would stay again. There is only one suggestion I would recommend. At night, when the staff leaves, the front door is left unlocked. Anyone could come in, go up the elevators to any room. It would be safer to use your room key to either open the front door or enter the elevator.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The condo was very clean and had what we needed for our 4 night stay. The front desk was very helpful in answering our questions and also very accommodating to us. We were in room 205, not the best Gulf view but a great condo.

The only issue I had with property and it is no fault of theirs - the property next door is being totally renovated and at times it was noisy with truck traffic. I was on the north end of building and property being renovated was just to North.

Pros - the view, the location, the quiet, the staff, the beach
Cons - the unit I was in was not super people friendly - no blackout curtain in the bedroom which faces the front of the property and is super bright. Bedroom fan so loud and squeaky couldn't use it. So much extra furniture that made no sense (like a four shelf bookcase in the super small bathroom). TV's should have been mounted on the wall to give more space. Coffee maker instead of a Keurig so if you don't drink coffee figure something else out. Furniture was older and one chair smelled heavy of urine. I realize some of these are personal preference, but for the $$$ I expected better/more.
If you have to utilize late check in, bring a flashlight because you won't be able to see the lock boxes (which need instructions to open). The parking garage isn't well lit and that's a concern as a female solo traveler.
The pros mostly outweighed the cons, and a different room may yield a different review.

The whole area is gorgeous and extremely clean! There’s several different restaurants and places to shop. There’s also different things to do in the area like parasailing, boat rides, etc. Close walk to the beach, and the beach is really clean!

The staff @ Southbeach was very accommodating...we requested a room with a better view because the room we were given was on the 2nd fl. and had an obstructed view behind the palm trees...the very next day we were relocated to the 6th fl. with a great view...they were genuinely concerned with making our stay enjoyable...the room was clean & well equipped...the customer service was excellent.

The condo was great and had everything we needed for our stay. There were chairs and parasols to loan for beach use. There were pool/beach towels in room. There is no maid service but that was fine with us. Washing machine, dryer and dishwasher in condo which was a huge bonus. Well furnished and great views. Reception team could have been a bit more welcoming -they always answered questions etc but i would not exactly say it was service with a smile. Would definitely return here. Walking distance to Johns Pass one way and Sloppy Joes and Caddys the other.
