The Hotel is old fashioned 80-90th style. All equipment in the room TV, Clima, Lamps, etc 20+ years old. Sliding door in the bathroom fall off. Electricity in the room has no differential current switch as safety protection. Breakfast was poor, too. The only thing that was good was the quality of cheese and sausage. The bread was always dry fuits no flavour, coffee poor. In summary: if you are multiple persons and you don't want to spend much money this hotel is ok but don't expect too much.

Absolutely love this hotel. I have stayed here twice. Once when I first arrived here in Paraguay and after three months living here I stayed here before my flight. I needed to get my COVID test early morning after a long bus ride and they allowed me to check in early. I also had a late flight the next day and they allowed me to check out late. Great service and very friendly and patient towards non-spanish speaking travelers.

It felt like an all included at very little cost. Thanks!

Mattresses are kind of flat. We love the pool and hot shower but the only thing missing is to have better mattresses.

Friendly staff, variety of food selections, size of rooms were all a plus. Poor air-conditioning and difficult to control water temperature in shower could be better.

Food was delishious.. Service was good.. Pool was nice.. Air conditioning wasn't working very well in our room so it got very hot during the night and people were quite loud early in the morning right in front of our room, so we didnt have a good sleep while there.. Next time i book, I will ask for a room further away from the main lobby and/or on the 2nd floor.

A beautiful property. This was my second stay in about 3 months. A more comfortable bed and timely hot breakfast would make it Great.

The Hotel is nice located and nearby a shopping center and not far from airport. Inside the courtyard you will find two pools and a lot of green plants and trees with shadow places. Very comfortable. The room I used was clean and simple. Seems the interiour is little bit worn, but still o.k and clean. Air condition works well. TV I dont use. The stuffs speaks mainly spanish, one person on the counter little bit english, the owner also German. All are very kind and corteous. They offer a air port shuttle for 10US. At noon they offered a buffet for a reasonable price. Nothing special - but o.k.

The hotel has a beautiful garden, friendly staff, and excellent food for breakfast and lunch/dinner. It's very well-situated for conference attendance at the Las Torres venue. I truly enjoyed my stay.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I was exceptionally pleased with the staff. They bent over backwards to be of help. An excellent choice if you are going to Asuncion, Paraguay. The price was exceptionally reasonable!

Hotel convenient for airport and shopping del Sol with access to buses into Asuncion. Excellent breakfast. Helpful friendly staff. Decor needs a bit of updating. Would use it again.

This hotel didn't honor my Expedia reservation. Upon arrival, I was sent to one of their lower class sister hotels not located near my initial reservation. I was told there was no room for me even though Expedia confirmed this reservation.

Portal del Sol was a great for a weekend getaway for the family. The room was big enough for all the kids to have their own bed. The Breakfast was great with fresh fruits, juices and breads. The staff provided excellent service, called us taxis when needed, bringing drinks and lunch poolside and providing directions to local restaurants.

And as I wanted to be able to exercise over the weekend I had to cancel my other two days and move to another hotel. Oh and the staff gave me wrong directions where to go find food, sent me a completely wrong way, which is kind of inconsiderate, but I found a nice Italian restaurant nearby away.

The hotel was better than most in the area but below standards for the USA (which I expected). The staff was, generally, very accommodating and helpful (even though few of them spoke English-but then it is a Spanish speaking country. If I hadn´t had some of my (unguarded) property stolen, they would have received a higher rating. My suggestion is that anyone coming here lock up their valuables in the room safe. Other than that very bad situation, the hotel staff was very helpful easy to get along with.
