Stayed here one night as we were touring Buffalo Trace which is about 4-5 miles away.
The room was clean and comfortable with no issues.
Checkout time was noon which worked out great as we were able to leave and get in line for the gift store at Buffalo Trace by 730 am, then come back and shower and checkout for our tour later at 1130 am.

Toilet wasn't tight to the floor and ran all night; Shower curtain leaked on the floor. Mold in the shower.

The lobby was nice, the rooms were nice and clean. Easy access from the main road. Walking distance to restaurants and grocery store. The beds were comfortable along with the pillows. The only thing that I could think of that needs improvement is the tv needs to have a timer to shut off other than that my stay was great.

Clean, quiet, comfortable rooms. Breakfast was a great value and more than adequate. It was especially good when the young lady (Brittany?) who takes care of it on Fridays and Saturdays was there. She was very friendly and attentive to the items that needed to be replenished!

We came in town for a long weekend. Booked our reservation approx 7 weeks earlier. Never stayed at a Holiday Inn because always a tad bit out of our budget. They honored my specific room request. The room and bathroom were clean (and I am picky) Everything worked. Fridge, microwave, coffee maker, hairdryer and iron were included in our room They provided breakfast, which was a real breakfast, not just and apple and bagel. One day was biscuits/gravy and scramble eggs and sausage. The next had omelet, bacon, and hash browns. Pancakes, toast, bagels cinnamon rolls, fruit and cereal. I would consider staying at Holiday Inn again

The room was super clean and you can tell the cleaning team takes their job seriously. Outside of that, it seemed like nothing worked. The room’s coffee machine didn’t work. The microwave was an experience. Lights in the room flickered. When we went to the front desk to ask a question, the guy at the front was incredibly rude and did all but raise his voice that we couldn’t check in yet (mind you we were already checked in and were trying to get a towel).

First room they put me in smelled of smoke. I immediately asked for a new room. Second room they put me in was a handicap accessible room, which is fine, but the room was not at all accommodating for a person in a wheelchair (things out of reach, etc.) and the bathroom smelled strongly of urine - like a public restroom. The walls were all banged up and patched, the carpet was dirty. It was not nearly as nice as other HIE locations I have stayed in previously. It was dated and gross. Obviously a spot for transient construction workers. Loud at night, lots of huge trucks revving up in the early hours. Large crowds of men congregating to smoke outside. Frankfort does not have a ton of options. Will not stay there again.

We really enjoyed the location. It was close to the area tours, food, and stores. The bed was comfortable, but could really have used new pillows. The staff was nice. The breakfast was good.

This hotel fits within the standards of what you expect from and Holiday Inn Express, clean, comfortable, and decent breakfast. For the price I am happy to indulge in a good breakfast. There was a little confusion at check in regarding how many rooms I reserved but it all worked out in the end. Would stay again when in the area.

Check in went smoothly once someone came to the desk. The room was clean but had a very loud smell--it eventually faded but was very stout once you opened the door. The room had a ceiling fan!!!!!!!! This was my favorite thing as I have to have a fan to sleep!!! Shower pressure was good.
The only thing that I would change about my stay here would be the checkout--there was no one at the desk & they had left a basket for the key cards. That made me very uncomfortable--I have trust issues & could imagine someone stealing that card & doing something in the room they might try to hold me responsible for. I ended up searching out one of the cleaning people nearby & having her to take care of my key.
All in all a great stay & I will definitely come back here when in the area.
