Not what i expected it was filthy the walls were dirty the fridge was disgusting went to target to get clorix wipes wipe down the fridge it was black and gross and didnt even work properly as soon as we checked in the toilet didnt work well and they left the plunger right outside the room door windows were filthy to top it off they put us in the back by the trash cans. There were little nat flies flying around the bathroom sink so disappointed TV was so out dated no cable not even apps to log in to Netflix or anything couldn't even plug phones in or tablet to mirror to get decent TV at night. Would not stay again.

Comfortable clean room for a one night stay in Monterey

No much in amenities.

Old facilities, the room is very small, be careful when walking around or you will hit the head of the bed, look not very clean and tidy, toilet and mold, choose carefully

Actually, I almost didn’t stay there because of the reviews. I’m glad I did stay there. Everything on the reviews were wrong. The towels were clean, the bed comforters were very clean, the floors were very clean. It was a very nice day. I will be staying again.

overall good but was dirty in the bathroom and staff left the lobby and the phones wouldn't work to call someone to clean. It was overall a decent place to stay if we could have reached the maids, i'd get 3.9-4 stars in this category.

When I first arrived and went in my room, I could hear the TV playing really loud and it was coming from the next door room. I spoke to the owner of the hotel that they had their TV really high , and she resolved the problem. Very nice..

Place was clean, bed was comfortable and a convenient distance from our event. We would have liked a coffee machine and better towels.

While it was a quaint little place, there were little to no amenities. Very disappointed that we received no housekeeping services while we were there for 2 nights. Upon checkout we received no receipt. Would not recommend this place.

Uphill Walking distance to beach through a nice neighborhood for those in good shape. Great fish restaurants close by. Starbucks on corner. Clean beds and bath.

Came into town just to check what time early check in was & they literally let us check in right there & we got our room !! It was very quiet, very clean & if we do come back out this way we’ll definitely be staying here.

It was convenient for me to stay in this hotel because of the location, sadly the cleaning was terrible, I found hair and dirt everywhere on the floor and I really don’t know if the bedsheets were changed. The lady at the reception was maybe half nice? Let me stay for another 30min but letting me know how unwelcome I was…lol what can I say, thanks? (By the way I did!)

11am is checkout. I was in the bathroom when the old fashioned phone rang super loud with a Matrix-like ring at 10.36am. A minute later the female manager is at my door. Wanting to ensure I vacate on time. WTH?!?! Shower mechanism stuck, dirt and hair on the floor. Noisy from the streets, the neighbor, the heater, and the toilet. Needed to use earplugs. Bed hard, and uncomfortable pillows. No coffee or microwave but had a fridge. Water did not stink of chlorine as in many other nearby places, which was a plus. Will never return.

Very convenient location and reasonable price. I am actually in the process of getting scuba certified at the dive shop next door, Aquarius. It is very convenient to walk over there and pick up my gear and bring them back to the hotel room. And if you need a place to stay for the night after the night-time in-person class at Aquarius, this motel is the perfect place! Aside from that, also short drive distances to downtown Monterey and the beaches. This is along a busy highway, so you will hear cars drive by throughout the day and night.

One morning when leaving my room I (thankfully) noticed that my door didn’t lock behind me. The man at the front desk tried to change the batteries, and when that didn’t work he called someone to come by. He was just going to leave my room unlocked and open while I was out. I told him that wasn’t okay, and he switched me to a smaller room. No one came to clean the room or change the towels at all during my stay. The WiFi didn’t work most of the time and my reception in the area was terrible. The area itself was great. Really close to the beach. Overall I wouldn’t stay here again.

As soon as you walk in there's a fresh laundry smell, very clean, and even has a desk office table and chair. Beds are comfy and warm, no microwave though but there's is one in the office. At night, you can hear the cars pass by but not too noisy I guarantee you will get a good nights sleep. There's also a heater in there and right in front of the motel, 2-3 minutes walking, in the park, there are some stairs that you can climb and see the ocean. It's also 3-7 minutes away from food, stores, and coffee. Overall great stay, Very satisfied.

This is a motel after all so if you have high expectations for staying here then lower them. They keep their rooms decently clean, but expect small things like no microwave in each room, a leaky faucet and older appliances. Overall, the Monterey Oceanside Inn motel is decent for staying a couple of nights in a pinch and is reasonably affordable for a room.

Cute little motel 5 minute walk from Del Monte beach, 5 minute drive from Cannery Row and Fisherman’s Wharf area. Nothing fancy but clean, comfortable, and affordable.
