The beds are not comfortable, and the staff is extremely rude

There were fleas or bed bugs in our room. We called to the front desk and the employee didn't seem to concerned. She actually seemed bothered that we asked to be switched to another room. The hotel was fully booked, so they put us up at the Ramada Inn across the street. They didn't even offer to comp the room or give us a discount.

Facility is beautiful, and we always love staying there.

Property has been very well-maintained and we enjoyed our stay. The desk staff at check-in and check-out were great.

Very peaceful, secluded and plain hotel. Small and quiet. Not much to rave about.

The overall stay wasn’t terrible . However we waited 20 minutes to get checked in because no one was at the front desk . Breakfast wasn’t anything special either.

Good basic place to stay. They need some updates such as usb outlets closer to the bed.

Quiet hotel, clean rooms & helpful friendly staff.

Our room was so damp. There was a dehumidifier in the room, but it wasn't on. The a/c was also off. Within minutes, my wife had difficulty breathing and was coughing. We asked for another room and we're told there would be an extra charge to move. They have us a key to check another room, IT WAS WORSE. It was so bad, there has to be black mold in the hotel. We could not stay there and had to leave. The front desk would not authorize a refund.

Friendly, clean and shower pressure is awesome

Have stayed here several times. We have always had excellent service. Mattress could use replacement. Rooms are a little damp and humid but each has a dehumidifier. Bathroom sink had a terrible sewer like smell when water was running. We mentioned this upon checkout and are sure it will be addressed.

Nice room. We had the 2 room suite. The bedroom was definitely colder since that was where the air conditioning was at. If you closed the bedroom door, the front room & bathroom got somewhat warm & stuffy. Overall it was fine & served its purpose. They let us check in early which was greatly appreciated!

What I liked about hotel- it was clean, apart from stain on one of the pillows. They had a nice reception area with iced tea and water which was great. Plenty of comfortable seating as well. Breakfast was just okay. We were told it was upgraded over traditional continental breakfast offered but honestly it wasn’t. They did have hot choices available though which some do not seem to have. What I didn’t like- I was told there would be a shuttle or we could catch a bus to the state fairgrounds when I booked and there was not. The mattresses were TERRIBLE. Needed to be replaced years ago. None of us slept well. Also, they say they are a non smoking hotel but there is a lot of marijuana smoking going on. It makes me sick to smell it and we smelled it often, even in the middle of the night. Overall, I thought it was pricey for what they offer, but we were there for the state fair and I’m sure prices were hiked because of that.

Dirty! Smelled like cigs in the lobby. Sheets had dirt, found a zyn pouch under my bed. Sheets and towels were smelly and disgusting. It was fine for 1 night but wouldn’t choose to come back unless needed. Great facility just needs to be cleaner

The room was as advertised. It was well-maintained and clean. The breakfast area was well-organized, spacious, well-lit, and offered a wide variety of breakfast foods.,

Property was nice, as a mom traveling with her daughters feeling safe is a priority and we definitely felt safe. The only issue was a couple of young kids running all around the property and throwing things at guests in the pool. Breakfast wasn’t super great but was edible. Found a receipt left behind by a guest who stayed in MAY. It’s the middle of Aug. At least it was only a piece of paper with the guests full name, address, etc. Shower was AMAZING! Would stay again.

We arrived late on a road trip, and left early the next morning. Easy check-in. Convenient to highway. No-frills but adequate free hot breakfast. Room and beds were comfortable. AC unit for our room was leaking water on the floor so the carpet was wet in a corner of the room. Alerted the front desk when we checked out.

Older property but well kept. Friendly staff.

This place definitely had some good and bad points. Stains on the sheets but staff quickly apologized and changed my room. But in doing this i was accidentally charged for 2 rooms. When made aware, the management promptly corrected the mistake. Only really annoying thing that could not be fixed was the insane volume in the breakfast room. Just very very loud. So... 3 stars it is

Convenient to me.

It's a charming building, and my guest room was huge. Breakfast was good and hot. But the room smelled a bit of stale tobacco smoke, there were some hairs from previous guests on the shower walls, the shampoo dispenser was empty, and the elevator was a bit creaky. On the other hand, the staff were really friendly and accommodating.

Northfield Inn is a very nice hotel and conference center with plenty of parking. The entire place is very clean with very nice staff. I have stayed in this hotel many time, both with my family and for business.

Needed a clean, quiet place to rest and with a good breakfast and it satisfied on all levels !

Spacious room and bathroom, clean, and everything worked. The no-slip strips in the tub should be placed closer together as it was a bit slippery.
