This is one of the nicest hotels my husband and I have ever stayed at. The breakfast was wonderful! The staff were very friendly. There is a restaurant walking distance from the hotel that was wonderful!

This hotel was so cute!! Very boutique with lovely smelling toiletries and cozy beds. The breakfast was impeccable and a view to match it.

Hotel was refurbished in Jan 2020. Covid 19 cleanliness practices are very good. Access to road ways was very good. Staff spoke english and was helpful. Breakfast had all the items that was normal for a German hotel prior to Covid 19. The mountain views from the 5th floor breakfast room were beautiful. My wife and I enjoyed our stay and well return on our next stay to Bad Rechenhall.

Lovely hotel. Breakfast was very good. Room was very clean. A pity that only a single bed is provided in the single room even though the room is very large and has a seating area with a sofa and table.

A wonderful hotel to stay in. Friendly staff, conveniently located to access tourist attractions and view from the hotel was awesome. The rooms were clean and comfortable and breakfast was great. Definitely worth another visit.

No freindly, welcoming face expresion received from the managerial staff, especially upon trying to solve problems resulting from bad hotel staff behaviour. Bad incidense took place at the restaurant during the breakfast, where easily everyone from other nationality or world regions becomes bad words in german, said by a middle age female restaurant staff, since she was confident that no non national looking guests would understand german. As I asked the lady about the reason of her bad comments behind my back, she replied that other guests told her about my 17 year old daughter (playing with the cheese plate) and she admitted to say these bad comments, even if she didn't witness the incidence. Unaccepltable responce from the manager, who showed full support towards the staff, cause I went to him to report the case and I was very upset. No hotel guest deserved to be treated this way and I don't know who can give good feed back about these people.

Very nice Hotel, with an awesome breakfast.

This was my first time staying at this location. Right across from the train station, secure parking (reached only with a lift) only three vehicles in the whole parking lot, only 5 euros a day for parking. Rooms were very clean. and a very good breakfast. Very friendly staff and very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area.

Our original hotel had been closed and Expedia made new reservations for us at the AVALON....... We were pleasantly pleased but very exhausted and surprised about the other hotel being closed....!!

The hotel is fairly easy to get to from the autobahn. While the hotel does offer pay-for-parking, there is a small free lot within a 2 minute walk which was a nice option. The free breakfast was a little limited on selection, but was VERY tasty. My only warning to American visitors is that the hotel has not a/c; so summer months travel makes for hot rooms.

The hotel was nice, clean and convenient to the railroad station. Rooms were noisy being on the main street. Food was very good. Also had a nice underground garage for your car. Small reception at front. It was convenient to visiting Salzburg Austria and other towns in Germany.

We have 2 rooms facing the main road during our stay. The rooms are not airconditioned and when the doors to the balcony are opened to get some ventilation, we have all the noise from the passing traffic which had affected our sleep. If we closed the doors, we could not sleep because the rooms are hot and stuffy.

We were very pleased. Beautiful views of the mountains from our balcony. The room was super clean. The surrounding area was gorgeous. We enjoyed just walking around and seeing the lovely gardens and cute little town. Would definitely recommend.

Large room with balcony - swimming pool - buffet style evening meal so pleanty to eat. They call it all-inclusive but it means evening meal buffet and 2 drinks! Ten pounds and 50p. Very reasonable if you take two glasses of wine from the price. Swimming pool not heated which was great after a scorching day. Within a few miles in all directions is wonderful scenery. Would recommend.

Das Hotel hat den etwas abgewohnten Charme der 70-Jahre. Das nicht sehr große Schwimmbad mittags zwischen 12 und 14 Uhr zu schliessen empfanden wir auch als etwas merkwürdig, vor allen da in der Zeit nichts passierte ( angeblich Reinigungsarbeiten. das Frühstücksbuffet hätte auch besser sein können. es gab nicht einmal einen Obstsalat. Was als positiv zu bewerten ist, ist der Ausblick vom Balkon auf die Berge.

The hotels website make this place look pretty good, but dont be fooled. The swimming poll is about 12m long and is just a fibre glass tub. We asked to move rooms as the first one looked like it had not been decorated since 1970, the balcony wazs above the smoking area and it was next to the bar which we told was shut during the duration of our stay. We did get a better room however it was smaller but away from the bar which was open on the last night of our stay. The breakfast was a free for all and very understaffed and very sparce if you were not there by 0800. In addition some of the facilities mentioned are not in all rooms i.e opur first room had no safe (the second one did but had instructions only in german and did not work). This is a really basic hotel and only book if it really cheap. On the upside the car park was very secure and cheap at only 5 euros per day.

Plus: parking place, quiet, rich breakfast, clean, spacious rooms, good price/value Minus: needs some renovations, newer TVs

Bei ÜF gibt es einen Nachteil gegenüber den HP Gästen, da die Tische immer mit Namen reseviert sind, und man daher immer zum Frühstück in den grossen Gastraum ausweichen musste
