This hotel is very comfortable and clean, the staff was very friendly and professional. Breakfast was fresh and good variety. We did experience a three hour power outage (whole city), in the morning during breakfast on our last day, however they provided doughnuts and coffee from Dunkin Doughnuts and their normal cold items. I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back in the future!! P.S. the hot tub, pool, gym and free coffee and cookies was awesome!

Overall, stay was fine. The staff did change breakfast time since majority of guests were there for athletic event and would’ve had nothing to eat in the morning. Room smelled a little musty and beds need to be updated. Mattress was sagging.

The one thing I thought was " Cheesy" was the room had a coffee maker. However, it had no bottled water. " Most " hotel rooms will leave a few bottles of water. I have a CPAP machine to sleep and need bottled water. I bought 2 bottles of water out of vending machine for $4.00 each. Kind Of Petty, but its the small things you appreciate in a hotel stay.

I would not recommend this hotel. Room was not thoroughly cleaned. The bed mattress was uncomfortable. The hotel needs new mattresses, curtains and upgrade bathrooms.

Perfect place to stay while visiting Valpo! Close to food, shopping and easy interstate access to get to the lake/dunes or Chicago. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip. Oh, and the staff and warm cookies were top notch too.

Asked for a second packet of coffee for my room and was told no!? Lol ... Was told they only give out one pack per room. There'll be more coffee downstairs at 5am?! Are you freaking serious?!

Well kept and very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Quiet atmosphere, which was surprising considering it is off of a busy street. Didn't take advantage of the free breakfast, just coffee. Took a quick look so see what was offered and it was just fine for the nightly price. Lots of restaurant choices within a short drive. My stay was a last minute reservation and a quick overnight. All in all, I'd stay there again as it was quiet, clean and the staff impressed me and actually seemed happy. My only suggestion is they could up their game on the coffee-but that's subjective.

Comfortable bed and quiet room! Only complaint was the cleaning lady came into our room without knocking at 9am and checkout wasn’t until 12pm. She then continued to know on our door every hour until we left. Overall staff was nice and accommodating but it was scary when someone came into our room unannounced.

The room was ok and relatively clean. It was just old. There were no outlets or usb outlets next to the bed. I had to find an outlet in the wall behind the bedside table to plug my phone charger into. There were holes in the sheer curtain over the window, and the blackout shade didn't entirely cover the window. The bathroom lights would dim randomly. Overall is was sufficient for a one night stay, but I probably will not return to this hotel.

A favorite to stay in Valpo

The curtains, 2 out of 3 layers were hanging and not moving correctly. We were on bottom floor so privacy was compromised until we figured out how to manually maneuver them. Everything else was great!

Unfortunately, we did not have a great trip. I took my kids there for spring break to swim and to use the hot tub. The hot tub was barely warm. We did let the front desk know several times and they said that they reset the heaters, but the hot tub never got hot. That was one of the main reasons we went there. I did try to get a refund or credit, but was denied. The room was clean, but the rugs were damp, assuming from pool water from the previous guest. I won’t be staying here again.

This is a great hotel! Cozy and friendly, and everything was in good shape. Room and breakfast were good. Pool and hot tub were running and both warm. There's a Dairy Queen in the same parking lot! And a Culvers right across the street. Lots of other dining/shopping options in Valparaiso are a 5 minute or less drive away. Highly recommend!

I enjoyed my stay, it was pretty clean and it had many options in terms of local eatery ! I didn't like the fact I ordered a non smoking room but walked into a room that definitely smelt like it had someone smoking in it pretty consistently. The pool and hot tubs were very lack luster. I was hoping for an actual hot tub and not luke warm.

Pricing is right. However, I do not understand how this place is getting such high reviews on the other websites. The staff is nice, but do not respond to the text requests for service via SMS after they text me. My main issue was everything is outdated. HVAC is outdated. The carpets are all stained. The furniture is over 20 years old. The pillows are way too soft and cheap. The countertops and toilets are very very low. The grout is stain. The fan in the bathroom is super loud and sounds broken. They are trying to do some things with the landscaping. The staff is friendly. It is clean overall there are no outlets in the room hardly. There is no USB. They need to invest a lot of money And I do not believe they will. If you think you are going to get a really nice place for a cheap price, you are not. You are just getting a cheap place that is clean for the most part.
