Nice rooms and good service. Check in online process was a bit weird and unclear whether I could arrive earlier or not or whether I’d be charged or not.

A friend had recommended and glad he did. Great overnight stay. Met expectations. Locals for dinner was fabulous!

More then we expected absolutely beautiful and the staff were very helpful with recommendations. We couldnt have jad a better stay and the bed was so comfortable.

Overall it was a good stay but they have no breakfast or dinner options other than a restaurant next door which opens at 11 and requires evening reservations. Rooms facing the street have a lot street noise.

This is one of the most beautiful and comfortable hotels we have stayed at. Our room had the feeling of entering a private room at a lodge—-fireplace effect, heated floors in the bathroom, tall cathedral ceiling, kitchenette, cookies and fruit in the lobby, to mention a few aspects. This was a wonderful stay.

Nice place. Nice suite. Unfortunately there had been a dog in the room previously and it had not cleaned and aired adequately so, being allergic, my wife was miserable. They offered a free upgrade for next time which may never happen.
Nice coffee station and cookie treats. Nice outdoor pool but deck shaded by 3 pm.

This was a hotel that stood out on our trip from Manitoba to The Island this year. Beautiful Suite, properly stocked for more than two people and the hot tub was just what my tired soul needed after a long day. Staff were kind and had genuine interactions with my Grand daughter and us when ever we passed in the building. A experience 10/10 would do again!

I loved the pool sooooo much cause I ❤️ water/ swimming! We did have an issue with the toilet as it blocked a few times but overall I would recommend it!

Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Facility is well equipped and well thought out. The area around the hotel is fairly “inner city” however if you have a car this isn’t too much of an issue. Small airplanes fly by regularly due to proximity to the courtenay air park , which could be a pro or con depending on what interests you. We thought it was kind of cool to be swimming while smalls planes zip by so close.

Nice accommodations; bedroom suite was a bonus. Was not please with room being right beside pool. Swimmers were right up against the building right in front of living room window. Not pleasant sitting on small balcony with swimmers right there.

The suite we had was comfortable and overlooked the river and the riverwalk. Staff were courteous and helpful recommending a nice local place for breakfast. Lobby was well equipmed with Coffee, tea, cookies and flavored water.

The property was advertised as having a riverside view, however the river has rusty metal sheeting along the bank so not a nice view. There was a lot of noise around the pool from maintenance and traffic noise from the next door bridge. We stayed 3 nights and were surprised the room wasn’t serviced at all. We asked the chambermaid and she said they only service the room before and after a stay not during. It was a nice hotel and convenient location but we wouldn’t stay there again.

The property is located beside an estuary with a scenic footpath. The room is comfortable and large. Parking is free and plentiful. There are four restaurants within walking distance. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our 2 night stay at Old House. It is a really special place. However, we were surprised to see no hand soap at the sink in the bathroom. There was a notice that you could buy soap that is sold by the Spa on the property. We found this unusual and a bit strange. Other than that everything was great.
