Service was excellent, but the space, amenities, and rooms are outdated. The bed felt over worn, the lighting in the restroom area was very dim. For The Joule, it missed the mark.

I had a wonderful stay at The Joule. The hotel is beautifully designed, blending historic charm with modern elegance. My room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed with thoughtful details.
The staff was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and always helpful. Dining at CBD Provisions was a highlight, with delicious food and great service. The hotel’s location is perfect for exploring downtown Dallas. Overall, a fantastic experience and a nice place to stay for quick getaway. Thank you!!!

Beautiful 5-star hotel with extra charges for everything. Luxury for us is having a coffee maker in our room but this only has a coffee shop in the lobby. These rooms are expensive and yet you are charged extra if you use the stocked fridge and snacks in your room. $5 for a pack of M&M’s no thanks. Be ready for the $200 “incidental charge” they will place on your CC. I had already paid for our room through Hotels.com yet they charged my card again. Thankfully Carlos the assistant manager was kind & fixed this for me. Overall it was a lovely stay if you don’t mind being charged for anything you touch.

From the staff to the rooms, this was the nicest hotel w the most friendly staff. We come once a year for a conference and won’t be staying anywhere else.

They claimed my room had a king bed but it was definitely a queen-sized mattress. My shower was cold despite running it for 10 minutes. There was a stain on one of the pillowcases. When I asked the front desk they denied it. Everything else about the property was fine. The rest of the staff was nice but the amenities and food was mid. My room was the worst part. The spa was decent!

Easy access to museums, restaurants. and nice pool. Staff was great and appeared proud of hotel. Was really cool how staff brought owner in such a positive way in more than one encounter! Would definitely recommend.

Was supposed to have free bottle of wine. I asked about it and they said they would bring it to the room. It never arrived.

The Joule is beautiful inside and the speakeasy in the basement is super cool. The view of downtown Dallas was amazing. We got a room with a terrace and it was worth the extra cost.

The room didn’t have a view though the website said it would . The service was not very consistent. The tea coffee was delivered without milk and coffee so we had to ask. The coffee maker has to be requested which was surprising. We weren’t told so we assumed we don’t get one. It was a premium room so I don’t know why it wouldn’t qualify for it. But once they figured our preference , they delivered. All in all a good hotel

It's a great ole place, with a landmark style. Staff is very nice and accommodating in front. Check in is good. Loved the view and the room is comfortable and clean Some quirks; computers not working, not able to charge the room for the restaurant bill. Cigarette smell down the hallways isn't good, would love a little throw blanket on the bed instead of this little table runner at the foot of the bed.

Your hotel certainly reminds me of a jewel, in fact a diamond in the rough. The hotel is amazing in every way but Downtown Dallas really has its work cut out: way too many homeless drug users. Too bad

Our room was hot when we checked in. The fridge also was warm. Our tv speakers were blown. Pool was overcrowded and small. The a/c unit would rattle every time it went off or on.
