A truly amazing hotel in a peaceful country location not far from the beach. Has a sweet beach club but the loungers are not on the actual beach which is a shame, and the food menu there is very limited. The food at the hotel in both the pool bar and restaurant is amazing. Great quality and a good selection. There are specials everyday which is good as the place is quite remote so eating at the hotel in the evening is easier. The infinity pool is stunning as are the sunsets. Obviously the Planeta wines are a particular highlight and the staff are very knowledgeable. Breakfast is a buffet but because of covid they require you to select from a piece of paper rather than help yourself which was slightly annoying but I guess is the world we live in. Also annoying to have to pay extra for cooked items such as eggs. Overall I highly recommend

Amazing location surrounded by vineyards, wonderful pool and nice rooms with their own outdoor spaces. Restaurant and service was really good. Wish I had booked to stay more than one night!

Third visit to La Foresteria and even Covid-19 didn’t spoil our stay. The hotel’s precautions were very good and the service was great as usual. Alessandro was particularly helpful, his recommendations were all spot on. Can’t wait to stay again!

What a wonderful concept and location; use of local produce including their own excellent wines and olive oil. Exquisite! But where were the staff; excellent when present, but too many times they were not to be found. Very odd for somewhere that is so excellent in all other aspects.

It was like a fairytale experience. We would definitely return to this place!

Overall a great place that offers a lot of activities like wine tasting, cooking with the chef and a private beach area nearby. Excellent food with various tasting menus available for dinner and a breakfast that suits both the mediterranean and the continental. Combining a more modern style than most places in Sicily with the traditional in a nice way.

What a wonderful experience- from the wine, to the food, to the staff, to the private beach club! Would definitely recommend!!!!

What a beautiful setting and facilities. You feel totally relaxed. The entire staff is more that helpful and knowledgeable.

Fantastic food and wine,beach and pool area

Location is great. Beautiful views. Staff attentive and kind. Room cleanliness could be better. Bed mattress was uncomfortable. Overall we loved our stay, however the value for money is very low. We stayed at nicer boutique hotels for 100-150 euros, and therefore 300 at this one seems overpriced.

Short but wonderful stay at the Planeta Estate in the Menfi area. We only stayed one night but could easily have stayed much longer. There is so much to do in the area from wine tasting to beaches to ruins. Or you could spend time relaxing at the property. They care about what they do here and it’s reflected in the attention to detail, the landscaping, and the food.

Wow! Wow! Did I mention Wow! Just go to La Foresteria, and stay there. Awesome food, beautiful views, fabulous rooms. Wish we could have just sat there and melted into it.

This oasis/resort is a dream! Particularly if your stay is preceded (as was ours) by lots of kinetic sightseeing and family gatherings. Suppose you could use it as a base but would be difficult so just enjoy because Planeta/La Forestaria epitomizes tranquil luxury--sort of 5-star agriturismo. The rooms are fabulous and well stocked; the surroundings are gorgeous: unobstructed views of the sea, vineyards and flowers and herbs with so many butterflies. The private beach is not close but well worth a visit. Wonderful but chilly pool. Great staff. Delicious cuisine. BEST!!

An outstanding hotel for a night or a week. From start to finish (aperitif to cheese) an excellent dining and wining experience with a friendly and accommodating staff in a fantastic setting. We only wish we could stay longer, but have already promised our friends that we will be back and stay again and for more days. Not inexpensive, but worth it!

Great facilities and room. Highlights were private beach and hotel pool. Breakfast outside was a bit of a trial with the flies and wasps. Much better inside. Ate dinner once which was fine with some nice touches. Main course were good, dessert was only OK.

The property was gorgeous and the service excellent. We had an amazing stay and wish we could have stayed longer. Its secluded and with non-existent public transport though, so perfect if you want to take some time away from it all - the views from the property are absolutely stunning. Theres a lovely pool, although our stay was short sow e didnt have time to enjoy it. Food was superb, and of course, excellent wines.

The food was phenomenal at this lovely, wine estate. We enjoyed the relaxing pool and found the staff extremely helpful. We enjoyed a 2 nite stay in late September 16 and had only one complaint: There were ALOT of flies swarming around our plates, both at breakfast and at dinner.The food and outdoor service was extraordinary, however, we were unduly annoyed by the flies.I certainly hope theyll get lizards in the garden to eat the flies or find a creative solution to this problem.Otherwise, a good value which we can highly recommend!

We stayed here for the last 3 days of our honeymoon before flying back to the UK from Palermo and it's was the perfect way to end our trip. The hotel location was lovely sitting on the hillside in the middle of vineyards with great views over the coutryside and out to the sea. The staff were all amazing, friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. Our room was very comfortable and we love the views and surrounding herb gardens and vines. The hotel also offered wine tasting, a cooking class, bike hire and they also had a private beach which we'd highly recommend.

Excellent facilities and good location. Staff a bit stand offish. Restaurant served good quality food and the outlook was terrific. However a number of guests, including us, chose to eat elsewhere as the menu was somewhat limited and did not change during our stay. Perhaps the hotel needs to develop more character. Wine list was extensive and and good quality. They need to try need to concentrate on the guest experience rather than on the brand Planeta.
