This is a low-budget hotel that charges mid-range prices. The internet service was poor; I couldn’t accomplish anything during my stay. The bathrooms are tiny, and in the shower area, water pools. The sink lacked a drainage lid. During my stay I had a cold shower because the water heater broke. The bed was uncomfortable, and the pillows and decorative pillows were to say the less groos. They are ready to be trashed. The sofa in the lobby needs new upholstery, but instead, they improvised with cheap cushions that don’t even match the color. Wish I could include pictures in my review. I read previous customers’ reviews but didn’t pay attention. Lesson learned: I’m not staying in a hotel rated less than 9/10 again.

The beds were nice. Free coffee and tea all day. The people were nice. It's a good quiet place.
We didn't use the breakfast or the pool. Both are not in the complex, but in another building. For the swimming you need to pay extra.
The rooms smelled a little musty. The shower had no hot water for a longer time, the second person was often cold.

Lovely friendly staff, 24 hr front desk. Clean charming property. Might be good to know beforehand that, as with many old places in Antigua (and Guatemala in general), your toilet paper is not flushed, it goes in the bin. A little odd if you are not used to it. We had baggies with us but none were provided. That would be the only negative critique. Nice hotel with good eating deals at sister properties. Pablo overnight is great at his job!

The location is great. No ice machine, no mini fridge, and NO air conditioning. My room was upstairs with a small window. Very hot and just a malfunctioning fan. The hotel is cute but I hope they had better fans.

Horrible internet, was getting 0-5gb and that was intermittent, dropping on and off. The tv was not working, it did get fixed, that take quite a while to happen, but they should’ve just moved me to another room.

The property has nice gardens and it is one of the only hotels that offer coffee at 6am and not much later like others. when we saw the pictures online it shows people eating at the tables by the coffee station so we assumed they had a restaurant but it doesn’t…a bit misleading. The beds are not the most comfortable ones and the rooms have no A/C so it an get hot. They do offer a small fan but it still felt hot. On the other hand the staff is AMAZING!!!!!!! Everyone helped us with a smiley face and made us feel comfortable.

Nice property, very convenient for city centre, well run and reaonably priced. Good facilities inc warm, good pressure shower. Free cofffee and teac but need to get breakfast elsewhere , but plenty places available for that.

Very convenient and helpful staff. Quiet with a modest courtyard. Our only complaint was our specific room - #5 - it was damp and musty, perhaps because it is located on the first floor, right next to the washer/dryer doing sheets, towels, etc. We suspect second floor much nicer.

Hotel meson de valle was a perfect little hotel to stay at during our long time in Guatemala. The lobby always smelled faintly of frankincense and incense which I loved. There was a misunderstanding about the room I reserved and they found better accommodations for me without any issue. Super quiet and peaceful. They had fresh flowers and hot showers. Pure water and coffee available 24/7 I didn’t realize until the last day that they had a laundry service for a small fee which I would have loved to take advantage of. Walking distance to great cafes and restaurants and the city center.

this is not a fancy property but it is well priced, clean and in a convenient location. It's nice that one can use a sister property's pool for about $5 US. Very nice staff

The hotel is in a great spot, close to the center of Antigua. The staff was friendly and room was clean and a good size. Early morning there was work being done, not too sure if it was all the from the hotel itself or the neighbors but it was around 7am. Some other people that stood at the hotel were pretty loud early as well a bit earlier. Just as a observation to hopefully help and for the staff do what's necessary with those that stay at their place to be mindful of others.
