The reception desk close during the overnight. From 8:00 to 9:00 I think. And one day the eletricity was downed over night to morning time. We didnt do nothing with cellphone. It was terrible. And wifi. Only can access in the front desk. I requested wifi, but they said in the front desk it can be accessed. I hope nobody select that hotel!

Excellent stay in Salzburg. Walking distance to the town centre, parks, and the Fortress. Highly recommended.

No air conditioning or fan. One window opened onto noisy parking area. No soap in bathroom. No hairdryer Staff while not rude, not particularly friendly. When I left, no “I hope you enjoyed your stay” etc.

The room we stayed in was dingy. The original furniture was removed, but no repairs/repainting completed. The best part about the room was the cleanliness of the bathroom.

First when I entered the hotel the lift was not working and my room is on top floor that means I need to take my luggage walk up and down at least 4 times. Second when I entered the room the room was smelly. I wonder what do the housecleaning people at your hotel do exactly to prepare the room for the next guest? Next the bathroom have no hot water during my stay I was try to call the reception around 11 but no one answer it. I need to wait until the next day for shower Also the heater in my room doesn’t work that mean I need to sleep under 2 degrees

Good hotel.

TV was non-functional, heater didn’t work, and in the morning the shower and faucet water was so hot we were unable to shower or brush our teeth.

Décor could do with a touch up and maybe a tea station, but apart from that it does what you need.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever had. No AC , elevator is not working. You have to open the window to get air. No fridge and you can hear police and ambulance siren the whole night. You should take this hotel off your list.

Séjour agréable. Cependant, la chambre est vraiment faite pour un couple., je pense à la salle de bain ouverte. Je voyageais avec une amie, alors, on se faisait discrète au moment de la douche. Point intéressant: l’arrêt de bus est juste en face de l’hôtel.

I was booked into other hotel very last minute, best western almeida art, far from the city center, so I didn't see anything of Salzburg. Very disappointing!!!

The hotel got flooded and I was relocated by the Best Western team to Amedia Art Best Western (4 stars, but far from my workplace) without any explanation. I asked for a bike, or a compensation, they won't listen. Fortunately the Hotels.com team was kind enough to compensate for my disruption.

Hotel is different from advertised picture (perhaps "sister" hotel?). Though Salzburg is small, hotel is fairly far from Old City, but close to train station. Wifi was mostly weak or non-existent. We were given a password at check-in, but wifi actually open and not secure. Elevator unavailable after 20:00. Room was on street and noisy. Lamp didn't work. No hooks or cabinet knobs. Huh? Front desk woman was nice. Otherwise, very little customer service attitude.

We choose this hotel mainly because of the parking service and when we arrived we found out that there is no parking place for us. We were have to pay for it for the night. After that we understood that because the reception is close during 8pm to 11am the elevator is not available for us and we have to go upstairs 5 floors with our suitcases. The room was dirty and old and a uge muskito was welcomed us. Plaza Inn you should be ashame of yourself!

The Best Western Plus that we actually stayed at was nice. But no one told us the Salzburg Plaza was closed. We arrived to find a LOCKED door and a note saying our reservation had been moved. We should have been told and given the opportunity to decide what to do. It cost us extra cab fair, our location was further out of town than desired, and it was very upsetting for my aging Mom. We had tour plans that included pick up the next morning and we’re left scrambling to contact them before the end of the business day. Arriving at Best Western, they were not prepared for us, nothing was on file. We had to wait while they prepared a room. Again, this was hard on my 81 yo Mom who was exhausted by this time.

The room was not comfortable with poor lighting and no curtains. Lift didn't work at night.

Pros: close to HBF and reasonable distance to the center, price is on the more affordable end. Cons: no curtains in the room. Several rooms are on a fairly busy/noisy street. Bed wasn’t the most comfortable. Combining all these things, you can probably guess that I had a very poor sleep. I also booked a “courtyard view” room but when I checked in they said they were all gone. For extra context, check in starts at 3pm and I checked in within an hour of this time.

RUN!!!!! THERE WAS NO STAFF AND BUILDING NOT SECURE!!!! NO CURTAINS IN MANY ROOMS IN A CITY HOTEL!!!! LIKE STAYING IN FISH BOWL!!!!! INTERNET WORKING???? ARE YOU JOKING. ELEVATOR SHUT OFF WITH NOTE ONLY OPERATES DURING DAY FOR SAFETY REASONS???? I arrived late on 24.07.2021 and stayed one night. Had resevations for 3. Told there was no refund and they were reluctant to give me a confirmation of early checkout. Fighting them now to get my refund for 2 days I didnt stay in their ghetto fishbowl.

It's a reasonably priced hotel within reasonable(ish) walking distance of the things we wanted to see/do in Salzburg. Our trip dates changed last minute, and I booked without reading the other reviews. My mistake. The hotel is on a very busy road and has no air conditioning (or even a fan for air circulation). So If you go in the summer, you'll spend all night debating whether to stay away from the stifling heat or the obscenely loud road noise, or a combination of the two. The desk hours are limited, so if you get in after 6 pm, you'll have to call an Austrian number to try to arrange someone to get you in. The biggest fiasco, however, was the parking. I made sure parking was available when I booked. When we arrived, we parked on the road next to the hotel to unload and asked where we should park. The women behind the desk asked where we were currently parked, and said that was fine. We asked if we needed a parking pass or to pay at the parking machine to avoid a ticket. The women said no, and did so with confidence. We even asked a second time just to be sure, and said we wanted to be sure we didn't get a ticket. They said it was no problem. Within an hour we had a 25 euro fine, and the only response we got from the hotel staff was that we were misinformed and that we should just call the city and tell them that and they would remove the parking fine. Wrong again. All in all, the staff are unpleasant, the stay is miserably uncomfortably, and it's just not worth it. AVOID.

Reception had revised opening times which I was unaware of and it meant my room key was in an envelope stuck to a window when I arrived. I was on the fourth floor and the lift only worked during reception opening times which was irritating and disappointing. My biggest disappointment was not having a working TV for my entire stay despite reporting it twice to staff, once on the phone and once in person at reception. I was not offered any refund for this - again not very good service in my opinion.

There was lumps of plaster in the corridor of the floor we stayed in - it was there at 3:15pm the day we checked in and still there the next morning. The staff were average, never going out of their way to be welcoming.

Overall is good

Property hard to find - no sign. Rooms ok but no tea / coffee. Location good - walk to station and old town- airport bus very close. Italian restaurant next door is exceptional- highly recommended.

Well located for city sights. Room was clean & comfortable. Reception was what you would expect.

Incredibly noisy from traffic even with the windows shut. It sounded like we had the cars in the room with us! If possible, try not to get a roadside room. No fan or air conditioning. Lovely female receptionist but the male was disinterested and unhelpful. Unable to check in for two hours past check in because the room wasn’t ready

Very bad no clean towels, you should ask receptionist but then if she is at night at her desk you can have it if not you do not take shower also elevator not worked . They told that they provide not service just room. I do not recommend this hotel to anyboy

You get what you pay for. The room we had was tiny but its also one of the cheaper hotels. Easy check-in and out. We didnt hang out in our room except to sleep so its all we needed.

The room was simple but had everything we needed. Very spacious with great big windows so the lighting and airflow was great. Bathroom was clean and pleasant. Bed was comfortable. The TV was great! The room had no kettle or fridge or tea/coffee facilities which would have been nice. Overall a pleasant stay.

Our room was on the first floor overlooking a very busy and noisy street. The traffic noise was excruciating. In addition, it was a very warm evening and there was no air conditioning.

The room faced the main road and was so noisy. There were no tea making facilities in the room and no air condition.

Please note neither they have an air conditioning not they have any fan meaning the only way to get a sense in ventilation is by opening the windows. This was a major problem as the rooms are quite small. Also some flies/insects entered due to this. There is no communication amongst the staff as well.
