Staff, location, breakfast great. Random sand in room. Maybe to be expected as tourists go to the beach.

The start was a little upsetting - We arrived 20min earlier than check-in time, but tried to check in and then were put through a room. This was great. But the room wasn't ocean view, although we booked it. So we came back to the check-in counter and told it to the staff who dealt with us then he said he didn't know we had reserved ocean-view room. He then put us back to unchecked and asked us to wait for a room to be ready, which was OK, but his behaviors clearly looked unhappy which was unpleasant and disappointing to me. Actually it seems he was a staff to work before the check-in time, so he just may not be familiar., and the lady who came in later and is probably the person to deal with check-ins let us re-check in and put us to an ocean view room. One more thing is that the toilet flushing stopped functioning in the next morning. It was fixed upon our request while we were having a breakfast but it was inconvenient at first of a day. Except for these, the room is clean and spacious. The room reminded me of a hotel room in the US mainland I have often used during a business trip. It was an ocean-view room, but it doesn't provide a clear view of the ocean actually.

Property well located in town but not what we were looking for

The hotel is well maintained, and nice to have complimentary breakfast. The room is very spacious. Location is very coinvent, can walk to the beach and tons of restaurants.

Location is great. Easy to get to dining and shopping areas

Staff was super friendly and helpful! I was less than a 5 minute walk to shops and beach. I will definitely be back!!!

You need to make it VERY CLEAR when booking the hotel that the minimum age is 21. On the Hotels.com app it's buried under "special check-in instructions" Turning up to be told you are not able to stay is not a nice experience. We have also stayed as a family here and the breakfast isa hit or a miss. It seems to be acceptable to say, "sorry there's no milk today?" or "the pancake machine is broken." When you are paying a premium for breakfast as part of your room, having basics like milk is expected.

The property was clean and the room was a nice size. Two things that kept them from 5 stars: (1) there was a 15 minute wait to check in. By the time we checked in there was already a ticket for $56 on our windshield. Super aggressive! The hotel said they would take care of it but who needs that aggravation on vacation? We parked I. The hotel’s lot! (2) they were very cheap with supplying towels. If you got swimming and have two wet towels for two people, and then you need to shower, a woman needs two towels. One for hair and one for body. Only letting 2 more towels is just not helpful. Don’t make me have to yell at my husband.

Convenient location and super friendly front desk staff

Only stated one night, due to us flying in late at night. The room was comfortable and it fit our family of 5. The kids enjoyed the pool in the morning. It also had a very nice breakfast.

Free breakfast, no resort fees. Parking is inexpensive. Walkable to beach with kids. Provided full-size shampoo conditioner and body soap in room.

We enjoy this hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. The only problem was getting car ticketed while checking in. Lady at desk cleared it up right away

Had 2 rooms reserved. Both rooms smell like mold.

Air conditioning did not work. Installed portable a/c which did not cool room for 24 hrs. Only thing they did was waive the parking charges.

Amazing service, fabulous breakfast, immaculate property & rooms

This is a very nice hotel in Kailua-Kona, Hawai’i. Our room was large and very clean, with comfy beds, large bathroom, a sitting/working area, small dining area, and a small coffee station. The coffee station had a kurig coffee machine, small sink, microwave, and a refrigerator. This allowed us to store/prepare simple quick meals when we didn’t feel like going out to eat. The hotel has a hot tub and a pool, all very well maintained and very clean. The towels are provided at the front desk. Full breakfast was provided with our room in a large breakfast area. The hotel is located within convenient walking distance from the bay-front street with shopping and dining options. This allowed us to leave our car at the hotel and walk to the Kona bay pier, and shopping centre without worrying about parking the car on a busy street. The staff of the hotel was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The hotel is located approx 15 min from the Kona airport. We would highly recommend this hotel for anyone! Thank you Holiday Inn and Suites for making our stay in Kona easy, safe and pleasant!

The property was advertising ocean view room however they were under renovation. They did give us refund back but was disappointed. The AC wasnt working properly for couple of nights because of renovatjons. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was awesome with good variety of options. Location is really good as downtown kona and shopping areas are walkable. Parking is affordable and de ent. Overall a good hotel and would love to stay there once again.

Breakfast was awesome

The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Donna was there every day we were and it was a pleasure to see her. The free breakfast was great tasting with lots of variety - both hot items, continental, cold items and a variety of beverages were provided. The room was clean and updated. Great water pressure for the shower. Wish I had time to try the spa and pool

We had to check out very early in the morning, so couldn’t enjoy breakfast that was included, however, the hotel offered fruits and hot coffee. Thanks!

Parking stalls are a bit tight if you have a full sized vehicle. They weren’t fully booked because of renovations on the 3rd floor, so we were lucky I suppose. There were a lot of stalls available during our stay. Overall it was a nice stay. My family and I loved the continental breakfast in the mornings. And the staff were friendly. I would stay here again when I visit next time.

Needed something not too expensive because we had to get up super early to fly out. We weren’t expecting much, but this little Hotel was perfect and clean. We got in a nice walk at night before we left by some cool places we missed earlier in the week.

Best experience in all of the islands. Top of the line all the way.
