Beautiful town on the ocean love the restaurant too

TV volume died on us and not another unit available. Was offered different room but significantly different beds. Hot tub heater not working and bathtub drain extremely slow. Sadly not compensated for these issues.

The “Inn” is a recently renovated MOTEL that is trying to figure out what it wants to be. I think they are trying for a “rat pack/Palm Springs vibe”. Odd. The rooms are very small. No place for luggage. Our room had two oversized, uncomfortable chairs. With so little room, a smaller scale is in order. Our “street view” room did indeed have a street view. What was not shared is that before one sees the street, one sees the “inn’s” waste receptacles and parking area. I booked this stay via Hotels.com. I asked for some concession on the room rate and was told “I can’t do anything as it was booked thru a 3rd party”…however it is the “inn” that provides Hotels.com/Expedia with the descriptive content. The moral of this review, think twice if you want a pleasant outlook and room to move about. Last comment. Dinner in Beach Cafe was great and Abbey was a delightful waitperson.

We stayed in the best room in the Inn - we could see 180 degrees of the Strait (from East to West) in a huge, comfortable room.
The noise from the restaurant and meeting room and road was tolerable.
Staff were universally friendly and helpful.
Small issues: the bathroom had nowhere to hang hand towels and there were a few spots the painting needed touch up.
Parking is difficult if you're much past checkout time.

The room was dim and the dingy. It was a pet friendly room so it had scratches on the doors and the walls. The vinyl head board was cracked and falling apart. The grout in the shower was blackened and it really needs heated floor tiles as the floors were freezing cold. There were long black hairs throughout. There was apparently a large party which played music well past 10:30pm and the bass was bumping making it difficult to sleep. The staff seemed unsympathetic when I called about the music. The breakfast did not have a lot of choices and they do not offer toast which to me is a breakfast staple.

Visiting Vancouver by ferry and decided to stay north a night . The hotel is very well maintained. Looks like the best act in town . Lovely restaurant-was slow but good for us. Felt a bit expensive- it’s a rocky beach and road repair was going on . Gas station out our window. Not a ton of stuff to do nearby but I think it’s the best north of Nanaimo. Would stay there again but not much reason to return

We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return. The management and staff are very professional and friendly. We had an awesome ocean view. Our king bedroom was very spacious and clean. The restaurant meal was great, too.

Great place to stay when we visit friends and make time for us too.
Comfortable rooms with ocean views and a Nespresso coffee maker in the room…we enjoyed that immensely.
Good food in the restaurant or Sunny patio seating and Taylor is GREAT at the bar.
A little indoor pool makes even better relaxing time.
