This is a uniquely beautiful property surrounded by incredible grounds. Not near any village which is exactly what we were looking for. The staff was incredible and the dining was fantastic.

Palé Hall is a lovely building, but it is the staff that made it into an exceptional stay. All very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. It was all very special, without being snooty or pretentious. Highly recommended

Hotel building and grounds are beautiful. The staff very nice cant do enough for you. However the food and drinks are way overpriced I had fish and chips the fish its not home battered like in a pub but like you would buy from Iceland and a few thick cut chips did it justify £45 certainly not.My husband had steak in peppercorn sauce with french fries and ended up with food poisoning (I assume it was the cream in the sauce) again £45. however the manageress removed my husbands meal from our bill which was very kind. our room was lovely but we could not get it warm despite having extra electric heaters put in there. would we stay there NO.

This is like visiting a Country estate. The staff and service are fantastic. They do have room service and two dining options. The food was to a very high standard. The en-suite bath was great and the towels and amenities were to a five star standard.

Pale Hall was everything you expect from a top hotel, the service, staff, food, room and grounds were impeccable. One of the very few hotels I've stayed at where the experience lived up to expectations.

A magnificent house in a beautiful setting. Staff were friendly and helpful and dinner in the Huntsman was delicious. Highly recommended for anyone looking to celebrate a special occasion in a quiet and spectacular location.

I booked this hotel for my parents as a belated Christmas present. I'd asked Palé Hall if they could make their stay extra special and they'd kindly arranged a complimentary room upgrade. My parents had a wonderful time and found the service exceptional. They had the eight course tasting menu and wine pairing which they said was the best food they've had. Would highly recommend! Thank you to Palé Hall for making this a truly memorable experience for them.

What an exquisite surprise to find this hotel on our road trip. As we pulled up to reception, multiple friendly staff came out to welcome us, and before we knew it, they had brought up all our things to the room and parked our car. I believe they upgraded our room which was lovely and comfortable with an incredible ensuite bathroom. All meals were fantastic and service exceptional. The grounds are gorgeous. While I've stayed in grander and more expensive hotels, this will remain our favorite on our five week sojourn in the U.K.

Had a wonderful 2 night stay at this exceptional property. Simply it is about the staff. From the moment you arrive they make every effort to make you feel at home. Pale delivers a sophisticated experience without being pretentious. Had the pleasure of the fine dining experience on both evenings and the food was simply sublime. The interiors of the building are beautifully restored and decorated and the rooms comfortable and well equipped. Will be first of many future visits

This is a special experience and not like many other hotel stays. The staff make it feel like you’ve arrived home. The restoration of the hall is simply first class. Our dinner and breakfast were freshly cooked and full of flavour. We enjoyed the well maintained grounds and were grateful for the EV charger. We can’t wait until we get a chance to return.

This experience was amazing. The staff take such good care of you and we did at our and saw so many castles. Great food and atmosphere.

The property and location

Absolutely amazing stay at this lovely hotel for our 1st wedding anniversary. Its a lovely building in beautiful surroundings. The staff were fantastic and we definitely got the 5 star treatment. Service, food and drink were all top class. My wife is coeliac & they had it all under control with great options, for the meal I wasn't even been able to tell the difference. Room was amazing as well, Queen Victorias bed, TV on the wall that looked like a mirror is a nice modern touch. We will definitely be looking for an excuse to go back again!

Amazing. Everything was just perfect

The hotel is in a very beautiful setting and internally is decorated to high quality and taste, also very clean. For the top rating that the property deserved the quality of the restaurant/service needs to improve, right now it is good but excellent.

‘Old house’ recently refurbished. Atmospheric. Lovely grounds. Friendly staff. Younger members of the staff were particularly responsive and effective. Facilities and amenities not quite up to five star standard, no pool or spa. Our ‘Grand’ room was not so grand with small and limited bathroom. Nice terrace but not accessible directly from the house.

Palé Hall is quite possibly the best hotel we’ve ever stayed at. It’s better than some of the best hotels in London and Paris. We received such a warm welcome when we arrived. We were travelling with our young son and our dog and we were all made to feel very welcome. The room we stayed in was beautiful and had a lovely view over the grounds at the front of Palé Hall. The hotel had supplied everything our dog would need, and left a gift for our son in the room. We had dinner and breakfast with our dog in the Bistro. The food was absolutely delicious. I’d booked the stay for my husbands birthday and the hotel had left him a card in the room and the dessert said ‘Happy Birthday’. It was all these extra touches and attention to detail that made this hotel feel very special. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming and when we left (we didn’t want to) they gave us a bag with some drinks, homemade flapjacks and dog treats for our journey. Outside my son wanted to see the ponies and donkey, but we couldn’t see them. One of the staff went out of his way to coax them out with some food, just so my son could see them all! As soon as we drove away I was planning when we could return. This is a place I hope we can keep coming back to again and again.

Very friendly and helpful staff

Staff very friendly over friendly occasionally. Had to ask for crisps with drinks at these prices a few nuts would have been nice. Room facilities could be improved tea cups far to small but tea bags very good one would have been ample for a teapot We had to ask to have toiletries replaced in bathroom. I would recommend 2 night stay as dinner menu limited and never changes. The hotel is however very nice
