Very clean and quiet

It's truly amazing. Newly revamped with all the USB plugs you need. Modern Bathroom and clean room. Free parking with plenty of spaces just in front of the hotel. Will definitely come again.

Really happy with our visit. The hotel and facilities far exceeded our expectations. Spacious and comfortable room. Large shower in a nice bathroom. Big comfy bed. And everything was clean and tidy.

A very comfortable stay in Hatfield , not a popular destination for most travellers, but was ideal for myself, partly for business collecting a car and partly pleasure, orienteering in the town . However it is conveniently placed if travelling by car literally next to the A1 (not close enough for any noise,) and also multiple bus links, plus opposite the popular Galleria shopping centre.
A large modern bedroom, with a very comfortable bed, in the adjoing building . Facing student accommodation to the rear, which may have more noise if term-time as some reviews mention. The room facilities are ok with tea & coffee and adequate bathroom.
The onsite restaurant may not be the cheapest but evening meals are very tasteful. (There is a nearby Wetherspoons too!)
I would recommend this hotel , especially as not many alternatives in the immediate area, but very comfortable and reasonable price.

Room service was disgusting it made me vomit after!!!! Air con was broken room was ROASTING and they said they can’t provide me with a fan! Awful experience!!!

Our whole experience was terrible, there was an unexpected charge of £100 which I had to pay outside of my budget for the trip having travelled all the way from Belfast, we were then given a key that couldn’t open and after fixing the key issue, our room had stains everywhere and the carpet was dirty, I wouldn’t recommend Expedia and the false advertising of Comet Hotel to anyone. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had, the receptionist needs to be trained as she lied and said the £100 was a Deposit for damages while the manager said it was for any expense that might occur and go towards that Bill. YOU SPOILED OUR WEEKEND!

The bed was comfortable and big. The bathroom clean and the shower had good pressure. I would have liked a fridge. The hotel manager - Calum was amazing!

I like the colourings of the room which feel very luxury.
Additions of the biscuits and teas made it feel nice. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and reasonably priced for brunch.The only down side was the air con in my room / heating didnt seem to work it was on all the time with the fan but had no ability to alter the temperature.

It was an ideal location for visiting friends. Hotel was clean and comfortable. The room was exceptionally clean and modern. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't have a chance to use the bar or restaurant on this occasion but would love to return sometime to check them out. Across the road from the Galleria shopping centre. Free parking on site.

The room was spacious and clean, the bed was extremely comfortable and you had everything you wanted in the room. The bottled water and biscuits were a nice touch and coffee and different tea varieties were well stocked each day. We would definitely book this hotel again the next time we are in the area.

Exactly what we wanted. We come to London for gigs and wanted to find a hotel away from the centre but short drive. Half an hour from Wembley (without traffic ;) ). The room was spacious, the ned was super comfy, very quiet even though next to the main road and I'm easily disturb, gorgous bath, breakfast was great! We loved it!

The staff at reception and in bar/restaurant/breakfast room were all very good. Very personable and a charming manner. Indeed, this seemed a happy hotel. Food good too.

This was a quick overnight stay. Location was great, although clearer explanation of parking would help. We were in the annex building and I was really impressed with the size of the rooms and bed. Very clean with excellent facilities.

Good room modern and clean. Unfortunately woken up a few times in early hours due to students making noise . There is Student accommodation behind hotel so guess this issue is a regular occurrence. Staff in reception seemed disinterested at checkin

What a lovely hotel, easy to find, great parking and all the staff we spoke to where extremely helpful. We didn't eat at the hotel but the menu look good and prices seemed very reasonable. Room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We will definitely stay again

We had a great stay! Amazing property and staff. Good facilities and super quiet. The room we stayed in was on the smaller side but fine for what we needed. Only things for us were that the TV in our room was an older tv which also struggled with signal and some channels kept cutting out, would be nice to have the option of smart tv to log into streaming services and the lighting in the room wasnt great - one small window high up and the lights were small/dim/awkward positioning in relation to mirrors for getting ready. Pillows werent great and could do with some extra in the room but we could have asked for more. There is no lift in the main building so something to note if this would be a struggle for your stay. Overall would stay again.

It's fine and serves its purpose. No minifridge in the room, water pressure not great in the shower, feels a little bit done on the cheap in terms of build / decor. But it was a good, quiet room, no problems with checking in and out, convenient for Hertfordshire Sports Village. Not bad.

I stayed at this hotel just after it opened and it was pristine, friendly, and great all round.
This stay left me amazed that the cleanliness and service were about the best I have seen in a very long time of business travel. The room looked new, and all the saff smiled and chatted. Food was oustanding, and overall great value for money.
Do no overlook this gem!

As always, an excellent welcome and friendly staff at The Comet. This is always my first choice in the northern home counties. As well as the great staff, it's a nice modern hotel with good, large, clean, well appointed rooms.
