A lovely couple running this establishment, very welcoming and friendly. Thoughtfulness is shown by the way they look after you in their quirky (architecturally) old house. There is a good selection of speciality teas and coffee, plenty of fresh milk in the fridge, and a toaster and microwave plus plates and utensils also provided. The bed was comfortable, with good linen, and excellent wifi signal too. Plenty of parking on site.

Very quiet and perfect for what we needed. Steve was very helpful and then shop in the village provided the couple of bits we forgot. Would certainly stay again.

The cottage is charming and quaint. The check in was smooth and there was plenty of parking.

Spiders. I've lived in UK/EU for 7 years. Grew up on a country farm. I'm no stranger to spiders. House spiders? No problem- they're harmless. But upon walking into the bathroom of the accommodation, there was a (very) large spider that looked very much like an American Black Widow (definitely not harmless). It was quite prominent on the wall. Clearly it was living in the wooden beams and spaces between the walls. Where there's 1 spider, there's more. We tried to relax there despite the discomfort and unease of wondering how many more spiders could swing down in the night from the over the bed exposed beams? We knew we couldn't sleep on the very aged mattress. Finally we gave up and drove 30 min to find another accommodation that was clean and comfortable. The cottage was non refundable when booked. I booked 4 continuous nights. We didn't stay 1 night. Only perhaps 2 hours? No cleaning was required. Maybe straighten a pillow or replace the 1 hand towel used. I requested at least some minimal refunding. It was nicely worded- no threats or disrespect. (I can attach screenshots if needed). The cottage was not as described (spiders!). Zero effort was made by the host to communicate or sort out. So, host receives £426 for absolutely nothing. Yes, I do see that the cottage could not be rented out to someone else due to our booking, but host could've canceled immediately (and made it available for 2 nights) or at the very least a cleaning fee refunded or even an apology. None was offered. I would suggest looking elsewhere for accommodation.

A higgledy-piggledy property with bags of character. Very friendly hosts and very generous continental breakfast. Full of homey touches

lovely little cottage, very cozy and loved the roll top bath tub. All was immaculately clean, and seemed to have everything you’d need, I only stayed for one night but so much nicer than a hotel room.

not sure about the location, only a 5 min drive though to big Sainsbury’s and town with food options.
