Beautiful village. less than 10 minutes walk from village station.

Very poor value-very expensive even for Switzerland. This is a hostel not a hotel. Narrow single beds more suitable for children. Room was clean but extremely basic. No chairs to sit on in the room we were given. The ground floor sitting area was in darkness.

Frederick and his team took great care of our family during our stay. Easy to access Andermatt using the free bus.

Some things were basic e.g. just two towels and two sachets of soap, Breakfast was a bit basic too for the price. Hospental is not any kind of location compared with Andermatt.

the staff were really nice and good value for money. good value for money given that CH is expensive.

2 out of 4 matresses in Room 1 were old and broken. rooms were very audible. right next to main road. next time we will stay in Andermatt in a different hotel.

The location is good if you are crossing the alps or if you are mountain biking or hiking. Breakfast was good but not outstanding considering the price.

We didn't realise that we arrived on a rest day for staff (many local hotels were also closed that day) and this resulted in what was apparently a shortage of staff. Our room was not ready at the agreed time so we went to the only hotel in the village which was open for a drink for an hour and a half. With hindsight, I cannot fully understand why this wasn't offered to us at the lodge although it is quite possible that there was only one person on duty at the time. The man on duty was very pleasant and grateful for our cooperation but I do think that something could have been offered by by way of recompense!
