I called beforehand to ask about my second pet and they said it was no issue or extra charge, one I arrived they made a big fuss and wanted to make an extra charge before check-in for both pets (when none should be charged) and overall making us feel unsafe. Had to stay in a different place and hotel wouldn't wage cancellation after the whole fiasco on their side.

El hotel no es NADA como lo indican sus reseñas. No hay lugar para dejar tu auto, el lugar es inaccsesible e inseguro, no hay nada cerca de la ubicación, no hay seguridad en el cuarto, las toallas y sábanas sucias, cargos extras TODO MAL

The service all around was very special . From the check in to the food service ,the selection of soaps in room and overall ambiance was amazing. I will be booking and recommending to others . 👍👍

The hotel is very secluded if you do not have a car, but not far from socalo, it’s up hill from la catedral. The room was clean, the staffs were all wonderful,

It locates lower valley area,you have to fit to walk up to center of the town every time. Hotel itself is fine but surrounding is not so clean.

Tuve la mala suerte de que en la cama de mi habitación encontrará muchas chinches (insectos), mate al menos 8, afortunadamente habia otra recámara disponible y nos la pudieron cambiar. Por el incidente el hotel nos ofreció un desayuno de cortesía el cual acepté, sin embargo, la experiencia fue de lo mas desagradable que he experimentado en un hotel. El personal del hotel muy amable.

Hotel was amazing, especially for the price! The only downside of it was the location, there's a short road stretch where is pretty dark and lonely, so its best to take a taxi, at least when you leave your hotel.

The hotel was ok for a 1 night stay. We basically just slept during the night and didn't really spend time in the hotel. We ordered room service for breakfast the next morning... wish they had more menu options.

nice hotel overall, good price for what you get, only downside is there's no AC, very clean, good attention from staff, no restaurant but you can get pizza, tacos or other kind of food to the room

The hotel was easy to find. It’s located in a quiet area. I didn’t use many of the extras like the pool, but everyone else seemed to enjoy. It’s not located by many restaurants so you’ll have to walk to get food. The hotel offers food until about 4PM and then after that they offer snacks/drinks from the front desk.

The Ilebal is just 8 minutes walk from the main cathedral and the wonderful Borda Garden. It is tucked in a quiet nook, the room's on various levels, very clean An excellent hotel for a quiet stay.

Mosquito hotel. Had to walk up a couple of very dark winding streets to get to the church. Very hidden ideal for having an affair

We enjoyed our stay. The rooms surround a swimming pool and beautifully manicured outdoor area. It was quiet at night. On weekends, they offered a breakfast basket with coffee, fruit and croissants filled with ham and cheese included in the room price.

Facilities and personal were the best very helpful the only complaint that I have was the bed mattress was to hard very difficult to have a goodnight sleep but everything else was exelent I would cam back

Ilebal is a beautiful and charming hotel whose only flaw is its location, deep down in a valley. If you are prepared to take a taxi (cheap) to and fro, this place cannot be beat. Breakfast was delivered to the room, a delicious fresh large ham and cheese croissant, coffee, juice and locally made yogurt. The staff was very friendly and efficient.

Hotel is nice and a bit picturesque. Beds are not the best, but are comfortable enough. It's only two blocks away from downtown, so one can walk there; unfortunately it's not on the tourist friendly side, so sidewalks are not the best. Overall it's a good hotel for the price one pays.

my boyfriend got super sick and had to stay in the hotel alone. The cleaning lady was checking in making sure he had enough towels or anything he needed. I felt great knowing they care about us staying.

Nice place with good pool. Biggest downside, while only a very short distance from the City center, it was a mountain to climb. Also at night the trip felt scary. Obviously if you have a car these issues go away.

We stayed here during May 2015.... The room was very clean when we arrived. They offered a very delicious complimentary "European style" breakfast for our first morning there. The staff was mostly friendly, the pool was clean, and the hotel is quaint and cozy. The downsides for us included the hard mattress, the lack of air conditioning which made the room very hot and humid at times, and one or two rude, or judgmental comments from one staff member in particular. Overall, great place for the price, specially if you plan on staying out being a tourist most of the day.

I loved Hotel Ilebal! It's lots of fun and the staff are great. The breakfast baskets are a lovely touch - wander around the pool and set yourself up.

For the low price, this was an excellent small hotel. The staff were helpful and very pleasant. The pool was big enough to actually SWIM in! It was such a nice place and so close to the center of town (the cathedral and central plaza, many restaurants and art schools, Borda Gardens, etc.), we decided to stay an extra night. Very very clean, no air conditioning in the room, but a good overhead fan. Highly recommend! We got to see Don Juan Tenorio for 150 pesos at the Instituto Nacional de Bella's artes. Also a very good boot store nearby!

I actually like this hotel in term of the cleanses. It was a lovely hotel. There is only one thing that I not quite like is the location. You have to walk up hill to the city center about 10 monutes. However, it not quite bed for exercise walking.

You cannot walk to downtown. The hotel is nice, but not wonderful. It does not have restaurant or bar service. Also, you are required to leave your car with the vallet. The mattress is really hard, got a stiff back.

After a long bus ride from Zihuatanejo, we were so pleased with our night at the Hotel Ilebal! The staff were all extremely nice and helpful. The hotel is simply charming, with various buildings and enchanting staircases. The room was sparkling clean. We did not see other rooms, but we got the impression that each room is unique. Ceiling fan and screened windows with beautiful views on all sides offered fresh air which was perfect for enjoying Cuernavaca's unparalleled climate. Given the opportunity, we will most certainly stay at the Hotel Ilebal again.

It's overpriced for it's location and quality. The hot tub no longer exists (by the way) (I know my travel book is about 2 years old) and the road to the hotel is curvy with little to no sidewalk. It's relatively close to the city center, but there are others closer.

I speak from my experience in Room 13. The good qualities of this 29-room property: spacious room, good free wireless internet, and very attentive staff. The bad qualities: breakfast is a misnomer (they only offer coffee and 1 croissant) and there is NO restaurant on premises or nearby, you must hike a winding and hilly path to reach the zocalo or local eateries, come dark fall the use of a cab is recommended. Frankly, I would suggested, La Casa Azul Hotel or any other property that is closer to the Zocalo and offers more services. However, if you are on a budget, this is probably the best for the money.
