We had a huge apartment with amazing views across the countryside . We loved the outdoor balcony area. Our hosts were lovely and responded to our concerns. It was like having our own villa. We loved the pool area and the peace and quiet.

The location was further from shops/ restaurants etc than we had expected. The apartment was left dirty by the previous occupants, dirty cutlery , missing kitchen equipment etc. The bathroom was dirty and the shower blocked. This should have been checked and resolved before we checked in. We had to ask for kitchen equipment and light bulbs however our host responded quickly . The bedding and towels were old and worn and did not match. I would suggest the hosts invest in some white cotton sheets and towels . There were 100% polyester duvet covers which were horrible especially in a hot climate. The apartment would have benefit from having an information folder with a map and info about the nearest shops etc. Instead there was a rather unwelcoming information sheet telling you what you mustn’t do. There is no cleaning during your stay and you are expected to keep the apartment clean with no equipment except a filthy broom and dustpan full of holes.

Beautiful villa in a wonderful peaceful location. My partner and I stayed at here for 6 nights in September. We had a lovely time and will definitely recommend. Rene was good host and great conversation. Pros: NO stag or hen parties. No groups of lads/girls. This was one thing that worried me. Thank goodness Rene does not allow these. Peace and quiet, pretty much pool area to ourselves, sun beds. We met a lovely couple who showed us a gem of a local restaurant – about 10/15 minute walk away – which did incredible steaks. I highly recommend this place if you want to get away from town. To get to the town where restaurants, supermarket its, it takes about 25 minutes walk, but I actually enjoyed that first thing in the morning to get fresh rolls for breakfast. Plus, opportunity to walk off some of the beer I drank during the day! Uber is available and is slightly cheaper than UK. A ride into town was under 4 Euros, which is pretty good. Uber works out cheaper than local taxis.

Cons: Wi-Fi wasn’t great. I understand, that while away you don’t expect to be using the Wi-Fi, but I like laying in the sun or outside listening to a podcast or on YouTube – and I don’t have unlimited data, so that would be the only negative thing I could say. Despite this, we will be returning next year and this time will stay for 10 nights.
