Nice and quiet

Lovely clean newly renovated property with lovely staff. Just let down a bit on our visit by lack of staff on duty at breakfast time on the second day.

Great room, nice bathroom was quite new and modern, tv didnt work however. Location a little outside town but a bus stop was nearby. It wasnt too expensive for an uber into city, approximately £14. Ate in the bar one night but the food was only average. Went into bar next evening and waited 10 minutes for staff to turn up even after ringing reception. Staff were friendly.

We liked The Hotel very much. However the breakfast was not up to standard . There was a "shortage" of foods , cutlery , sauces and the coffee was awful .

Really good hotel, nice spacious room, clean and a great breakfast with a lot of selection. Staff are particularly helpful in the breakfast room.

Lovely renovated room, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend and would stay again if in that area again.

Room was comfortable, bathroom was dirty with dried toothpaste left on the sink. Service in the bar was awful. It was like the chef didn't know what was on the menu, starter was wrong. Main was wrong, when they eventually delivered a "pie" it was in a bowl with a layer of uncooked pastry and a slice of cheese on top.

Generally fine nice room but annoyingly no hair dryer (another guest in reception same problem). Dinner was pretty grim chicken Katsu curry barely any sauce and big chunks of undercooked peppers.

This was my third stay in last year at this hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely clean rooms and comfortable too. I will be staying here again.

Stay was very comfortable, the receptionist was extremely helpful. Only couple of complaints, it was being decorated outside my room and the plastic sheeting they had put down was very noisy in the morning as people walked by. My room was directly above reception and the outside lighting coming through the window was too bright even with the curtains closed. It was like I had the bedroom light on.

Really decent hotel for the price. Amazing buffet breakfast, good choice for everyone. Restaurant and separate bar area. Room was well equipped, cosy and the beds huge.

Very comfortable, quiet and clean room. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Overall it was a good place to base with convenient access to the motorway system. I would stay there again. No hesitation.

Great hotel, the refurbished rooms are excellent, namely the suites. Staff are very friendly and attentive.

The room was incredible, the bath was also a jacuzzi and it was so spacious you could move around everywhere, the bed was comfy and I ordered room service and the food was really good. I will be 100% be doing this on a regular basis even just for a break from home. I was really impressed with my stay.

Front desk and dining room staff were excellent, and elevated the wholecexperience. My room was dark, and (I think) missing a lamp.

We booked two rooms. One room had been refurbished the other one was dated. The showers in both rooms were not very good. Room 511, was terrible and they did move us to another room, an executive room, which was good.

Reception ladies were lovely The main thing i have to say is do not be fooled by the pictures they are the “executive rooms” the room i was in had a shower head where the water was going in all directions… the bath cover was coming off. Disappointed with the bathroom. Pictures tell another story. There was someone elses pubic hair in my bath. I put a sign to have my room cleaned and i was given a towel with stains on it. Other than that i was excited to use the sauna and steam room until i realised after gym you cannot shower and go in as they have no lockers to put your things away and its a bit much having to go to your room, shower, leave your belongings and walk through the bar (embarassing) to then go use them facilities. Lockers should be provided or some privacy entrance away from people at the bar.

It was just ok,we were placed opposite venue were wedding's reception were being held so very noisy,loud with music playing til 1am,unable to get full night's sleep

Booked an executive suite which was advertised with the picture of the spa bath on the hotel.com website. Was given a room with a tiny bath that was also chipped. The room was extremely hot. I asked reception about the room and was told there is a wedding on so couldn’t be moved. Paid extra for the room with the nice spa bath and didn’t get it. Very tired looking property.

We had a lovely stsy at the hotel. We were at a family wedding reception and chose to stay over in the hotel. The bed was lovely and comfortable and the room was very clean. The breakfast was very nice too.

The room was clean and comfortable, if not a bit dated. My room was located on the corridor leading to the restaurant, so it was fairly noisy with guests chatting as they walk past. The bathroom fan is uncomfortably loud. What was unforgivable was the inconsiderate nature of the housekeeping staff. Heavens forbid anyone need to sleep in, as the loud chatty nature of the staff will wake you up. They seemed to be completely oblivious that guests might still be sleeping. This would stop me coming here again. Shame really as the reception staff were polite and friendly.

Really tired hotel - used mainly for workers on the evening I stayed. Room wasn’t very clean, had to use antibacterial wipes on all areas to remove dust, bathrooms need a lot of TLC, beds need new mattresses. Only saving grace for me was the staff they were lovely.

Quick and easy check in with friendly staff. We had an executive room (507) which was large and had everything needed for our stay including a mini fridge. The room was very clean but is on the top floor so has a sloped ceiling to one side so care needed to not bang your head but trust me you only do it once. The room was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Would recommend staying at this hotel.

Ordinary hotel - a bit tired Not central Pleasant helpful staff

Very difficult to park when i arrived, booking in was quick, room was ok , bed sagging , shower was not enjoyable, bits missing, meal was ok , drinks very expensive, £16 for a double malt , no , i wouldn't stay here again.
