We really enjoyed our stay here. Agnes was so kind to us and so helpful. She's the best! My wife and I highly recommend staying here when you're in Arusha :)

This place is really great - Agness is very welcoming and will make you feel comfortable. I have stayed there 2 weeks for work and could not get bored of the very filling breakfast (some pics attached). The garden is wonderful & colorful - swinging chair, comfy benches, some tables... The location is good too - it's not directly into town but it's on a main road so you can easily take a dala dala to/from town. Or there's a lot of motorbikes and tuk tuk to move around. For dinner, there are a few places around the hostel (the BBQ right next to it is quite nice), and there's even a cafe in Arusha which delivers. The WiFi is strong - I had a few online meetings on Teams/Zoom, never had a glitch. Very happy with my stay!

I absolutely loved the owner of this homestay. She is lovely.

My partner and I are very tall and the bed was pretty small! You are actually staying at someone’s house in a room behind the house. You need to go through the living room and kitchen to get there.

We had a wonderful stay. The bed and shower in the double deluxe room were perfect. The host Agnes was very kind and helpful. She even made us breakfast to go when we left the place at 5 in the morning to catch our bus.

Well run and value for money.

The environment is beautiful, it's very secure and closer to the city centre. The rooms are perfect and comfortable 👌 Agnes was such a good host 👌 The breakfast and dinner was fabulous. The other lady called Hawa cooked very delicious food .They are so welcoming and wonderful. I loved my stay there. I'll definitely visit again.

Since this place is more catered towards travelers on a budget, maybe think about re-pricing a dinner offer as $15 is too much for travelers that stay in hostels If it was $7-8 maybe we would've joined

It was close to the main road

Never knew that you are Imprisoned after 10pm because they specifically put it in their contract with Booking.Com that no one can exit the property after 10pm and the gate is double padlocked and only opened again for breakfast. Never had a curfew since living at my parents house and it was quite frightening knowing that you had to rush back by 10pm like little Teenagers

The staff are excellent and Agnes is a warm, welcoming and generous host. She will take care of you and is incredibly helpful.

Some of the rooms are great with nice outdoor terrace. The host and staff and very friendly and will assist wherever possible to make your stay more pleasant.

Pick a room at the front of the main house and not the back.

Agnes is a warm and welcoming host, nice location with a lot of shops near by. Very nice common area with day beds and sofas and a beautiful green garden. Nice decorated place with big spacious rooms. The breakfast was very filling. The dog Winta is a big bonus :)

The staff was great especially Agnes, she is lovely, kind, welcoming and extremely accommodating.

We had a wonderful stay at Blue elephant villas. Agnes is so very kind, she made this place a home for us. The breakfast was always delicious and very rich and we also had dinner which was very tasty too. The garden is a nice place to relax and the town center is very close. You can also book a safari or mountain trip, Agnes brother runs a well reputated travelling bussines. All in all highly recommended!

Agnes was superb...very kind, helpful, and efficient. I booked an extra night because of how great I was treated the first two nights I'd booked. The food was good, and Agnes is really receptive to anything you may want organised - I got fruits on a random afternoon, I got a taxi around town and to the airport, I got directions to the malls, I got a lot of coffee. There's also a dog, Winter...Winta... delightful little energetic girl.

For the rate per night, I cannot complain at all.

Do yourself a favour, stop researching elsewhere and stay here. Stayed previously at 5 star Meru hotel, and sure it was flash, but the Blue elephant so much more relaxed atmosphere, homey & beautiful gardens/chill zones, you wouldn't pick that it's just off the busy main street. The amazing girls will look after you and keep you well fed. Such a gem! I'll be back!

Great host and delicious breakfast

Very friendly and helpful staff. They served a nice freshly prepared breakfast on your own patio, asking you how you liked your eggs and a nice portion of fresh fruit. Great value for money on the accommodation. The room we had was spacious with a private little patio with table and sofa. Comfortable bed. From the accommodation it’s a 1 minute walk to the main road. You can easily get a dalla dalla(local bus)/ or hail a taxi/ order a taxi with bolt. We also walked a few times to the city centre in about half an hour. Around the corner of the Blue Elephant, at the main road, there is a nice little bar where you can have a drink in the evening, you can get some bbq snacks there aswel. It’s called Naca meat up. All in all we would recommend staying here.

Beautiful place with cozy rooms, comfortable beds and delicious food! Agnes took wonderful care of us, we felt like home. We would definitely choose Blue Elephant Villas again. Asante sana :)

Nice and sufficient breakfast with local fruits, egg and bread

I really liked how warm Agnes was, she helped us so much during our stay and the food she makes is exceptional. The world needs more people like her, she’s truly one of the kindest people I know and have met.

We had an amazing stay in Blue elephant villas. It exceeded our expectations. We tried different rooms and they were all very cozy and clean. We really felt at home there. The staff was really friendly. Agnes took really good care of us. She made an amazing breakfast every day and Greg, the owner, was really helpful to organise tours and safaris. We can't wait to come back!
