Noise of the underground, lack of direct sunlight

A basement flat in the a very central location less than 10 minutes for 2 different tub stations and 15 minutes for 2 more. The flat is also about a 2 minute walk from a grocery store so we were able to stock up on breakfast and snack food and surrounded by lots of dining options. The flat is very clean and modern. The host provided soap, shampoo, conditioner, dish soap and laundry detergent. We used the pull out sofa in the living room and the inflatable mattress. The host was very prompt to answer any questions and provided good communication through WhatsApp. Being a basement flat you could hear the underground trains every 5 - 10 minutes but the noise is very muffled and did not bother us. The flat is also directly below a barber shop but we did not notice any noise from the business. We had a great stay and really enjoyed the residential location. I would definitely stay again if we come back to London.

Location felt safe. Convenient to attractions and train station (king’s cross). Clean with responsive host.

Newly furnished apartment, in mint condition, very nice decoration, very clean and roomy. The position is excellent as well, close to Mayfair. Owner cooperative, when asked to shorten the stay, without paying full penalty.

Apartment 100% below ground, no outside light at all. Due to being underground, every minute, noise from the subway. Also very narrow stairs (~50 cm) to get down to the apartment's entrance. Add of the property could be more indicative about these.

Spotlessly clean, stylish, large and very comfortable flat in a great location.

Very narrow staircase to enter, no lift. Very difficult if you have heavy luggage and two suitcases as I did.

Quiet location and very good for access within the city. Close to underground stations and within walking distance of all tourist attractions on that side of the Thames. Clean and spacious apartment. Host was excellent regards check-in time and available via Whatsapp to answer and advise on any queries.

Underground apartment so no natural light available. Also and probably more importantly, there's a subway line quiet close and you can hear the subway trains regularly throughout the night. Be wary of the tight stairwell when descending/ascending to/from the apartment.
