This gem of a VRBO is an incredible find! It lives exactly as it is shown in the pictures…beautifully decorated, incredibly clean, and centrally located in Johnson City, a perfect distance from the hustle and bustle of Fredericksburg. The owner’s email and communication through VRBO are timely and inclusive of all information you need to plan a terrific get-away while staying at this location! Restaurants, coffee shops, boutiques and resale, lavender shops, The Science Mill, LBJ everything, and 63 wineries are located within 2 to 30 minutes of this beautiful VRBO. Book it now!

Our family rented this cute house for a wedding weekend in Texas in April 2024. The house was clean, beautiful and well equipped. The beds were very comfortable. It is right in the heart of Johnson City and walking distance to coffee shops and food. Would highly recommend!

We stayed for 5 nights for the eclipse in April and the house was perfect for us. Easy check-in, close to downtown (walking distance) and plenty of parking. The whole house was so clean and the furnishings were lovely, plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen had great china and all the equipment we needed to cook meals, which were wonderful outdoor in the courtyard. We loved our stay -- thank you!

We had a wonderful stay. Our host was very responsive and made sure we had what we needed. The beds were wonderful! The space was perfect for relaxing! Overall we loved it! We will definitely be back!

We loved our stay in Johnson City. Great location, close to many wineries, breweries, and restaurants. We split time between Fredericksburg and Dripping Springs areas, and Johnson City was a great home base. The owners are very responsive to any needs that may arise and provide lots of good info about the area. The backyard area is a great place to unwind for the night.

A lot of thought and care went into the layout and amenities of this home away from home. I cannot think of a single thing that I would've added. Thank you so much for hosting us. We had a great time!

Everything about our stay was perfect . Our host was amazing . Very kind and professional. The house was gorgeous inside and out . Extremely clean and decorated beautifully. All the perfect little touches to make you feel at home and comfortable . It is perfectly located and a nice short walk away from everything . It was the perfect stay for our family . We loved everything about it . Thank you :)

This is a really cute and comfortable home. The Biergarten is wonderful and the interiors really well furnished. it has comfy beds and well stocked kitchen. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner here and had everything we needed. The host is highly responsive and we liked the digital guide provided. A great stay was had by all. Highly recommend!! Only regret is we aren’t staying in Johnson City this weekend for the market. The home is just a couple of blocks from the courtyard. Perfect location!!

The Lokal was a great house. It was spacious and clean. Each room has a very comfortable king sized bed. The sound machines in each room are very nice. Elizabeth was very easy to communicate with and very responsive. Her recommendations for great local spots to eat were very good. Definitely recommend this place.

My girl friends and I had such a great time staying in Johnson City. The Lokal was such a nice house. Clean, modern, adorable. We loved how each room has a king sized bed, sound machine, and we’re spacious. Everything was so comfortable - the beds, bedding, towels, seating. It was perfect for a quick getaway. We will book again.

What a great spot! Everything was comfortable and clean, and you could tell that the host put a lot of thought and intentionality into the furnishings and amenities. The house had everything we needed. The outdoor space was dreamy with the TV, lights, fire pit and seating. We’d come again just for that.
Location was perfect for us — really close to the square and downtown area with shops, restaurants, and tasting rooms. Johnson City is such a cute, little town!
Elizabeth was communicative and her recommendations helped us find some great local spots to eat.
Would definitely stay here again next time we’re looking to get away.

We loved our stay in Johnson City. It was convenient and relaxing. Everything was wonderful (beds, parking, bathrooms, outdoor patio, everything) and the glass rinser by the kitchen sink was a special touch. :-)
