Hicks Cottage was exactly like the photos, if not better. The check in service was simple and easy, and the hosts were both friendly and very informative through messages and when wandering around their beautiful and well maintained property, which the cottage is situated. Despite this, couples have plenty of privacy and quiet to enjoy a nice and romantic stay. The place was extremely clean, and all facilities provided were extremely beneficial. This felt like home away from home! The property was easy to find with directions, and despite being out of Queenstown, was a perfect short drive in all directions to towns, shops, wineries and even Arrowtown. Thank you very much to both owners for making our stay an unforgettable experience in NZ and Queenstown! We will definitely be back and will only stay here again. Highly recommended to all travellers!

Lovely accomodation restored to a very high standard. Tastefully modernised while preserving some historic elements. Very comfortable.

Difficult to find anything wrong but if I absolutely must, the low lighting - perhaps deliberately in keeping with its historic charm, could be a bit brighter.

Gorgeous spot, beautifully decorated. bike trail was so fun! Friendly hosts with a cute pup! Uber accessible for dining out in the city, or has a kitchen if you wanted to prepare things at the property for a cosy night in.

A fire would increase the ambience of the cottage.

Amazing cottage, restored beautifully. Lovely quiet spot to get away from the busy pace of life. Loved being able to hire ebikes from the cottage and bike along the Rwin Rivers Trail and onto Gibston wineries.
