The house was comfortable, clean and the kitchen was well-equipped. Nice porches for just hanging around on and the wooded lot was beautiful. Conveniently located near downtown West Jefferson and grocery stores. Very nice place to stay!

Bedrooms on either side of living space worked well for the two couples.

Great place to get away and visit. With all of the COVID-19 issues going on it was nice to find a clean place away from the crowds.

The four of us, 2 couples, loved this cabin. The layout was perfect with both bedrooms on the same floor, opposite side of the living room. Location of the cabin is convenient to West Jefferson. The cabin is nicely stocked and very well maintained. Would definitely rent this cabin again.

The Honey Bear cabin and Steve were both terrific! It was the best equipped place we've ever rented, and there have been a bunch over our 32 years together as a couple and family (2 kids). I forgot the AC portion of my phone charger...yup,..Steve had a USB charging port by the bedside! Everything else one might need was there also...and in great condition! We would definitely rent again! What a nice place...THX Steve for making it seem just like home, only tucked away! All the best, RV

This Cabin is great
We stayed 4 nights
It is about 2 miles outside of West Jefferson located in quiet little neighborhood with easy access also there is Walmart , DollarTree and Lowe’s
within a mile we enjoyed the deer that walked around the cabin as many as 12
This was our second time staying and will again if available

The cabin was beautiful, very clean & nicely decorated. The kitchen & bathrooms had everything that we needed. I wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights. My husband wished there had been a fire pit, but we enjoyed sitting on the deck. It’s a beautiful property.

I can’t say enough good things about this cabin. It was so clean. It was in a beautiful little neighborhood that felt very private but was less than a mile from Walmart, Wendy’s and other businesses. Linda thought of everything! There’s plenty of soap, toilet tissue, paper towels, towels, blankets, etc. She really does provide coffee, tea, bottled water, condiments, and snacks. The check out process can’t even really be called a process. I was thrilled and will definitely stay there again. You’d be crazy not to book this cabin.

The Honey Bear cabin was adorable! We had an amazing week! Centrally located to Blowing Rock, Boone, Damascus, Va., Lansing!! There are so many things to do around West Jefferson we will need to go back! Cabin was very clean and well-appointed! Not a single issue all week!

We had a wonderful relaxing time. Very well stocked with everything you need. The beds extremely comfortable. The cleanliness of the cabin is superior. The location is excellent. Jefferson national park is just a few minutes away -amazing views and hiking. Downtown West Jefferson also minutes away. Great communication with host. Will Definetely stay at Serenity meets Convenience again.

Totally satisfying weekend retreat. Great communication, great accommodations, good location. This cabin is perfect size for 2 couples or a family vacation. Cabin was very orderly, clean, and comfortable.
If I had one suggestion, it would be some cushions for the chairs on the front deck. It rained during our first night and it made the chairs kinda unusable for the morning cup of coffee sitting outside.
Did see 2 deer while sitting on the back porch one morning, while reading my devotional. Not 20-25 yards from the porch.

We stayed here for a couple of days for our tenth anniversary. Everything was tidy, and it was easy to come in, get the fireplace going, and enjoy a break from kid noises. There was plenty of space for the two of us and our dog. Would definitely recommend staying if you want a quiet getaway.

We had a good stay. Loved the porch (dog did especially) and how close everything is. The house needs more working lamps and light. Outside there needs to be a light for the driveway. I fell twice not being able to see. Would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful visit! This cabin has a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to prepare meals. Steve was very quick to communicate and made sure we had what we needed throughout the week. The Christmas decorations were an added bonus! We will definitely be back!

We had such a great stay last year we decided to come back this year. The property is perfect for four people. It has everything you need. This charming home is in a nice neighborhood and is so close to everything. Perfect jewel of a home!

This is the third year in a row we have stayed at the Honey Bear Cabin and we can’t praise Steve and Karen enough for always having everything ready. It is the perfect getaway because it’s peaceful and quiet. We’re able to fix our own meals and stay in or we can drive a short distance and enjoy a nice meal. There’s plenty of activities in the area or you can just rest and relax at the cabin. It’s our favorite vacation spot and LORD willing we’ll come back again.

Nice place, was very comfortable and cozy, but strong dog smells throughout cabin. Lots of noise from nearby homes and traffic. We did however enjoyed our time.

Very clean and had everything we needed. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to enjoy it as much as we wanted as we were attending a wedding. Gave us a good nights sleep though!

The cabin was close to town and near other cabins but it felt somewhat secluded ( Lots of trees). We enjoyed seeing deer roaming the area every day.
We definitely recommend the Honey Bear.

We enjoyed our weekend away. The cabin was decorated nice, clean and had a fully stocked kitchen. The only thing is other renters need to know there is another house pretty close so not as secluded but we were excited no one was staying there so we were able to relax on the deck and porch without feeling someone was watching us. We were able to see a few deer roaming the property which was really neat. We do recommend this cabin.

Out of all the houses I have stayed at this one was by far the most equipped to handle any needs you may have. It was a perfect size and location for the 4 of us and our 2 dogs. The only thing was the spider weds all over the outside of the house, I know I know it's the mountains and I didn't actually see any spiders, but I know they were around but again there was bug spray if you need it! They really did think of everything, and I would defiantly stay again (spider weds or not). The wifi was not great but the DVDS and games provided were amazing. Who needs wifi when you have family and nature to keep you company.

We were in for our nieces wedding and couldn't have asked for a more cozy, relaxing and clean home. It was a home away from home. We wish we got to spend more time there than away. Wilderness was breathtaking
