Very nice staffs

The first room I got had mold on the fridge and an unclean shower with black dots on the floor. After a change of room I got one wirh stains on the sheets and on the sofa and a moldy smel really persistent Also the second day it was freezing in the room and in the morning the fire alarm started at 6 am because of a delivery so overall it was a bad experience and we got no excuse for the eary wake up call Stay away from this old hotel even though it’s in a central location

Great location & a very friendly, safe hotel. I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking to stay in Avignon

The location is very good. The front desk persons are nice and ready to help. It is an old building and the layout seems weird. The hallway is dark and a lot of steps, but the light is not on so you have to find the switch on the wall. This can cause problem. Parking is also a hassle. Generally speaking, I like the hotel and will stay again next time.

Nice room, conveniently located - near central station, tram, shopping, and short walk to promenade.

The staff were exceptional, helping us with where to park, to calling car mechanics for us as we don’t speak French and had a problem with our car Thank you

The location is excellent and the heritage building is beautiful but the decoration and furnitures need improvement, even if the cost is reasonable.

Stayed two nights. A classic building downtown but not fancy, comfortable, good breakfast. Close to the restaurants in the old section. Don't eat at the tourist restaurants in the Place de l'Horloge. Only problem was the customers outside the bar on the back alley, which is narrow and echoes the noise up to the rooms. Cheap or free overnight parking at the lot along the river.

This was our third stay at Hotel Danieli over the years and I have always found it to be a good, basic hotel that provides everything you need when you are planning to be out all day and evening.

No elevator but location is good. We love the hotel although it is small room.

Basic hotel room, clean comfortable and great location with easy access to railway station, restaurants and shops.

No elevator. No in room safe. Terrible breakfast. Small tv screen. Will not send put laundry but no clothes line in bath and no heated towel rack to hang clothes. Always huge orange bags with linen iin Hallways. Staff leaves large vacuum cleaners in hall. No help with bags on arrival. Was told I was on second floor but it was more like 4 flights. Room 302. Poor bath soaps etc. Towels were not replenished nor tea on days room was cleaned.

Loved it. Excellent location for walking. Gave us a room that was quiet and had a bathtub.

Great location for exploring town but parking was a long walk away. Room was a bit small, which was ok and somewhat expected as we didn't plan to spend much time there.

Perfectly situated for the centre of town, very helpful young man on front desk. Parked under the Pope’s Palace. Brilliant town to explore, hotel was quirky but comfortable and dog friendly.

Enjoyed walking to all tourist sights enjoyed the popes place and may churches, loved the les hall market and went on a great tour of roman Aqua duct,Uzse.and Nimes roman sites fantastic

The Hotel Daniel is close to the Avignon Train Station (not the TGV station) which was very convenient. You can walk there with luggage. It was on the main street from the Avignon Train Station. It was a clean room. Please remember that there are no lifts in this hotel which was stated when we booked. When we checked in there were no towels in our room. They were in the laundry. After we came back from touring the city, they were still not in our room. There are other hotels close to this one that I choose on my return trip back to Avignon from the Riveria.

Certainly not a luxury hotel, but helpful staff and located in the perfect position in a magical city

Hotel was very central and staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was basic and there wasn't much of a view but it was very clean and quiet. There were twin beds instead of a double which was a shame and the towels were very thin but overall, the hotel was good for a few days while exploring the city.

Why does a 3-star hotel require payment in advance on check-in? Read on and you may find out. First, there is no elevator. Second, our room was dingy, the carpet stained, the bed-skirt torn and the curtains frayed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They needed to be--there were no towels in the bathroom, no soap and the shower head was coming away from the hose. The a/c worked--just as well, b/c the window opened into a tiny courtyard, with drains. We moved as soon as we could.

A comfortable hotel in the centre of Avignon. Just a short walk from the train station. There wasn't a safe in the room so we put our valuables in the general safe which wasn't great because there was no receipt or anything provided. On check out we actually managed to walk away with someone else's passport and travel documents and didn't realise until we got to our next hotel. Although, we sorted it all out, we found it a bit worrying that such a mistake could happen.

As a family of four we had a good experience in the hotel, it is conveniently situated for the station, although central it is very quiet, it was 39 degrees when we arrived in Avignon but the room had excellent air conditioning.
